To be clear: during Itto's burst only the defence stat snapshots, ie. Gorou. Any attack buffs like Bennett, Zhongli or tenacity/Noblesse will not snapshot.

@@callmerays684 basically every stat or buff that was pre elemental burst will stay until the elemental burst effect is over,but it only works on ittos own buffs not bennys buffs or gorous,on ittos case i think he only takes the def buffs

You have to have the right setup and the right combo. if we are not talking about maximizing damage then most character could be unga bunga, if the player is unga bunga themselves
Ngl that c4 buff sounds nice for albedo, who scales off both Def and atk
generally you dont use his burst in a geo team since nobody uses EM and you dont build atk on him at all so his burst does nothing for the ER and Field Time it requires but the DEF buff is def awesome

His best team is actually with Albedo instead of Bennett. Itto already has like 4k atk from his burst and aditioanl 1k doesn't do that much. On the other hand Albedo can take full advntatage of Gorou's buff (especially if he is c6) and depending on your stats he can do from 30 to 40 k on average.

Another option could be Albedo instead of Zhongli + Shinobu instead of Bennett. You could be getting constant crystallize shields, and I know crystallize isn't very good, but if the shield is constantly refreshing then it doesn't really matter I think. And then even if you do take damage Shinobu will just heal you right back up so it doesn't really matter. You would be sacrificing the res shred you get from Zhongli's shield though, so there's also that to consider, but I prefer using Zhongli on other teams so I think of it as being worth it.

yea i agree with you but the thing with moga is he just rlly likes making everyone dps and using benny. he uses benny a lot even in “tazer” comps
For the whole itto gorou snapshoting problem, as far as I know that only occurs when using gorous E, then you would have to wait a few frames before using ittos burst
I heard that the Gorou snapshot issue occurs when you do the quick burst functionality such as holding alt + the number to rotate to Itto.
so switch to itto NA once then burst
The thing about Kuki Shinobu's burst is that it seems like it's for mass electro application. You don't wanna do it when nothing else is going on, you wanna do it when you have something like an Ayato burst or Xiangling burst or something like that so that those things trigger reactions in her electro area.

For the Itto snapshotting issue: going "too fast" refers to using the "alt" key while switching to a character (which causes them to automatically use thier burst upon taking the field) doing this means that Itto gets 0 frames to take Gouro's buff. As long as you don't use the alt key when switching to Itto, he should be able to snapshot just fine
If you want to use both: itto, gorou, albedo, kuki. Great team.
Kuki apply electro fast so you’ll always have a shield. Since you’re using redhorn Benny isn’t really doing THAT much for you anyway.

lol he's saying that kuki can apply electro to enemies consistently so that the team could get crystallize shields also about benny itto already got so much atk that it have diminishing returns so benny isn't that good but kuki can act as a healer and also a crsystallize bot and probably most people dont have c6 zhongli so a mono geo team with kuki would be quite decent

Why would anyone have to change your mind. Itto has 0 seconds of petrification and no defense shred and no overpowering shield. If zhongli could do comparable damage noone would even want itto. These discussions are pointless.

I recently got him (c0) and for me, a player who just ascended to ar45 and tries lvl90 domains, he is my ultimate saviour. Without Gorou and with husk 4piece (4* set) he does 30k with his E in burst mode and his crits hit 30k-40k. I am actually amazed and having Gorou makes it even better
Mine is c0 too with 40 cr and still does 200k in geo team per rotation

What that comment was referring about itto snapshotting is about using the shorcut to immediately switch and ult (i dont know the keyboard presses needed for this but there is a shortcut) not switching and pressing q separately. So you should be fine even when pressing q immediately after switching

so it looks like you mostly figured it out at the end there, itto does indeed "snapshot" his def to atk conversion on burst cast (so if you're fast enough, he should benefit from his c4 def boost the whole duration of his second burst)
the potential problem of not snapshotting gorou's buff comes if you use the alt key to quick cast itto's burst (i'm not a pc player myself but i know you can alt-swap to characters to immediately cast their burst- mobile equivalent is just tapping their burst icon in the sidebar- and if you do that then i believe that's where you run the risk of not snapshotting gorou's buff)
also sidenote but i would really really recommend using albedo in your itto team! itto-albedo-gorou is the best triple geo core because albedo is also benefiting from gorou's buffs and doing a very significant amount of damage, zhongli isn't actually a great pick for itto teams, unless you value the comfort which is fair, but dmg wise he is definitely not the optimal choice, and if you do use him, then i'd recommend just going full on 4 geo at that point because albedo is just really good in itto teams
Zhongli is actually a good pick as well because he is one of the few ways you can shred geo res
Another reason why Zhongli is good for a full geo team is because itto has negative resistance in burst mode so enemies can kill him really quickly because of it

I think another good use for Kuki is with Eula, you know, to easily proc superconduct and heal her in the mean time, specially if you don't have Raiden

Pretty sure you need to stay a few frames for Itto to capture Gorou def bonus. You can't immediately use Itto burst switch. You need to switch to Itto then burst.
Moga tested it at 13:25.
It seems like Gorou's burst doesn't have to tick like Bennett's. Once you activate his burst, he gives the def bonus to anyone in his field as soon as they enter it. Or the timing for a single player to switch between characters and use bursts is long enough for the def up to apply.

itto snapshots defense buffs like weapon stacks like Whiteblind, artifacts stacks like Husk and Gorou's E and Q, the thing about his damage going down after Gorou's E or Q expiring is because Gorou gives 3 buffs to Itto which only defense snapshots, GEO CRIT DMG and GEO DMG BONUS won't snapshot

im pretty sure the commenter was talking about how if you were to do that burst shortcut (alt to party member) then itto wouldnt fully get all of the def bonus that gorou offers

Itto can not snapshot gorou if you alt swap directly into his burst, but also the lower your ping the less this happens

I will continue to standby the fact that I kuki may have been released purely for utility. Jack of all trades does mean she's spread thin but I think she could be a really grade unit for some teams because of:
- reaction enabling
- healing
- supportive ability with tenacity and favonius sword
I think kuki is pretty great for some teams. Definitely not like bennett or xingqiu but she has her uses that makes her very useful and maybe people should come to realize some characters enabling the rest of the team to do better is more valuable than themselves doing damage. This isn't meant to be a hate comment o-o I just think she's really not as bad as some think, a bit niche but not completely

the issue with snapshotting itto def with gorou comes from doing the burst swap (holding down left alt, and pressing the corresponding number key).
since burst swap makes the character burst come out on the first possible frame, it’ll activate before gorous buff has a chance to apply
Btw here’s a tip Bennett burst before gorou is better since while itto snapshots both the defence and attack he does not snapshot the geo dmg bonus and crit dmg(if you have c6).
Ye you get Gorou's buff if you swap then burst, but if you ALT-swap (which swaps and immediately casts burst) then that is swapping too fast to get Gorou's buff on Itto. Idk why this is bc I don't know any other buff that does this, just Gorou lol. Noelle is also affected
So the change and burst as fast as possible is about holding alt and clicking the characters number. That auto-bursts, and if you do that with Itto, he bursts too fast to get Gorous buff :D
The snapshot miss of the defense only occurs when you quick burst (alt+switch)
I think you would benefit more if the rotation was Ayato ult, Xiangling ult and Guoba, Kuki e, Yelan ult then Ayato e and auto attack constantly
About Itto's snapshotting behavior, swapping to him normally (pressing 4 in this case) before bursting is all he needs to use Gorou's buff; if you use the Burst-swap feature (Alt+Character Slot on keyboard), then Itto bursts *before* obtaining Gorou's buff.

congrats moga lololololol it somehow cracks me up that something always trips you up about itto and gorou, i remember your god mode gorou you were testing with itto's basic atks instead of charged in his burst and getting so confused why itto wasnt doing as much dmg lolololol but yeah strictly speaking itto doesnt "snapshot" like real snapshot, but the def conversion, since its a conversion at time of his burst, the def part acts like a snapshot. but at least now i know i dont need to wait after switching to itto to burst tho - it was a little confusing how long i was supposed to wait cuz ppl said to not burst immediately but i guess the problem is only with the 1-button-swap-burst thing that is mostly used on mobile (or pc but i have no idea where that setting is n clearly never turned it on)
i got my itto (along with c5 gorou! c0 gorou is great buffer for itto too, just c6 gorou is best! sadly with 4*s not guaranteed i need to save rest of my primos so ill just wait for a future albedo banner or something), so happyyyyyyyyyyy

I think he said that he was finished with Hu Tao, although that might have changed since he uses her with Crimson now, but at least on her last banner, he said that he wasn't planning on going past C3. If anything, he might be planning to go for a C2 Kazuha for the EM boost.

Itto only snapshots the defense converted to attack so the moment u use his burst his defense at that moment is converted to attack so adding more defense after that does nothing like getting more whiteblind stacks. The way u miss gorou buffs is that if u use gorou burst then immediately use itto burst then it won’t have time to apply the flat defense buff before itto uses burst and as I said earlier any new defense after itto burst is applied doesn’t work. It’s kinda like how xiangling can miss snapshot Bennett burst buff if u use it too quick after swapping. The only thing I’m unsure of is if it’s only considered to quick using itto burst by using alt+1 or if it can still be to fast by manually swapping and immediately using burst.

tbh i got those numbers at c0 in the abyss (226k a couple days before) so itto is absolutely insane with or without cons. and i dont remember clearly but i think it was without gorou (he's lvl 70 with some 0 lvl artefacts anyways). the game changer is itto's signature weapon which i was lucky to get wery early. so get it if you have the opportunity to. redhorn goes well on literally any claymore dps.
I think itto is gonna be your first c6 unit
as long as you don't use alt-1/2/3/4 the snapshotting thing is not an issue
Try using triple hydro (Ayatol, Xingqiu, Yelan )with Kuki or any other support

usually you should start ayatos rotations with his burst first because it takes so long and lasts so long that its better not to waste the support's off field damage time
It sounds like itto c4 is made for albedo aka full geo team when everyone can take advantage of def&atk boost from itto
But since my itto is only c0, sometimes i put albedo in another team for EM boost.
Itto actually snapshots only the Def, even the C6 of gorou, only buff his dmg for a little time, that's why he doesn't snapshot all the buff

If you do Alt + Number, it goes into ULT right away and if u do this with Itto right after Gorou's ULT, he does not get the buff.

Almost the only way c4 is really can be useful for Itto itself is when you activate Itto's burst during the buff duration and he snapshots that def into atk conversation. Otherwise it works at best for 3-4 seconds.
My cousin’s brother has C6 itto (he got 7 ittos in a 10 pull)
