Handel's “Oboe Concerto in G minor”, HWV 287, is a captivating musical composition that beautifully showcases the expressive qualities of the oboe. With its lush melodies, room for ornamentation, and dynamic interplay between the soloist and orchestra, this concerto invites listeners on an evocative journey filled with a range of emotions and musical brilliance. The piece demonstrates the composer's exploration of the to him 'rather new French' oboe.

Beautifully played you skillful musicians .The video operator and sound recordist complemented the performance with the quality it deserves .Tumeke !

Great musicianship by everyone. The sound recording is also first class. Many thanks
There's no arguing about Handel, all his music is extraordinary and this concert is no exception. This ensemble has the ability to effectively render this quality. In addition to the orchestra, I would like to compliment the oboist for her skill and her beautiful sound, among other things, I appreciate her versatility and I find her equally good at the recorder.
Qué hermosa interpretación. Con oboe barroco Haëndel suena glorioso
Great ensemble, fantastic Nele, splendid video. Bravissimi!! Giorgio
I think there's a new reference recording! The ornamentation in the third movement is amazing!
Very talented young oboist - bravo!
Prachtige uitvoering en mooi in beeld gebracht!
Very nice. Is anyone else reminded of Corelli in the last movement?
Nice stereo image in the audio.

Браво всем музыкантам, особенно гобоистке, мои аплодисменты!!!
i would like to raise a question about the choice of tempo. apparently the Grave means dark, heavy and serious, for me it must be like walking in rather slow steps with sence of heaviness, but you seemed taking it with more fluent, almost dance like approach, could you please reveal a bit more about your interpretation?
Thank you for your attentive listening and your question. We agree that it is a rather fast tempo for Grave, but the music led us to it. We would like to share the following two thoughts: (1) As you mention this indication is not only about the tempo, but also, and rather mainly, about the character. The characteristics you mention are in this movement audible in, amongst other things, the dissonances and the dotted rhythms. Mainly the dotted motive led us to a rather forward moving tempo. (2) Before making recordings ourselves, we also listened to recordings as 'the' version of a certain performer, but actually it is rather 'a' version of a performer, which was recorded on a certain moment, on a specific place with given conditions and is connected with those elements. If we would have recorded the piece in a larger church or another room with more reverb, a slower tempo would probably have been the result.
Meisjes van het ensemble alleen nimfen !!! Hallo tegene uit Rusland !!!!
Musicians and performance are fantastic. Videography is absolutely abominable - the worst mishmash of windows and music stands and earlobes and details of room decor, with hardly any views of the performers for more than a few seconds. Only someone with ADHD on ritalin would view a performance in that way.
