Well, technically speaking, she is permanently 1-10 Hz above the tuning of the orchestra. It gives her voice a bit more brillance. This is such subtle difference that normal untrained ear is not able to recognize.

Sadly, it is the “untrained ear” (at least in the U.S.A.) that would otherwise provide musicians with a living. So, the untrained ear is who should be educated to appreciate this music rather than dismissed with a snobby attitude.

I would like to believe this is a well and kindly intended little joke. Otherwise I suggest trying to sing this music with all the correct notes, trills, and vibratos without ever looking at the score. Just reading it is an achievement!
Funny that baroque orchestra was playing Mozart, who is - not from baroque period. But Mozart in baroque tuning sounds so MUCH BETTER ! Julia nailed it pretty good. Last tones makes me think about GOD and Eternity in the music.

It is not transposed. The orchestra is tuned to A=415 Hz. It is the common tuning for modern baroque orchestras.
