Evo (Evoltile/Evolsaur) Deck Profile! | 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! WCQ HAT Format

- What's going on everyone?!
The Yu-Gi-Oh! 2014 NAWCQ format also known as HAT FORMAT was my personal favorite and most memorable format to play in, in the game's history. Following the previous format known as "Vegas," this format now included the side set "Dragons of Legend" (introducing cards like Soul Charge & Fire/Ice Hand) and the main set "Primal Origin" (introducing the Artifact archetype as well as support for other meta decks). It was an extremely skillful and diverse format which included some of the following decks as meta, rogue, or fun options: H.A.T, Sylvan, Bujin, Infernity, Mermail, Geargia, Dragon Ruler Decks (Mythic, Hieratic, Lightsworn, etc), Constellar, Fire Fist, Madolche, Spellbook, & many many more!
I'm extremely excited to show off the format and my overall knowledge of it! All the deck profiles I'll be showcasing will be my versions put together through playing during that format, results from recent modern HAT Format tournaments, and extensive research and playtesting!

I’ve always loved this deck it felt so similar to Digimon to me through their game mechanics. When I used to play it I sometimes went back and forth with playing a 1 of Evoltile Elginero as another target instead of the 3rd Najasho. Still has the same problem needing to be tributes but it was minor draw power and also let you recycle your dead Evolsaurs you open or drew early on in the game.
Also mind if I ask why no Guaiba? Lance synergy is here and while it doesn’t work with the Evoltiles it’s still a 1 card Evolzar running over a Myrmeleo
@@daniellocklear5908 Hmm that's actually really interesting, I never played Digimon before so I had no idea. Elginero is a pretty cool card. I tested around with it initially and while I do like its effect, I found in most cases najasho and moreso lagasucho was just better (elginero wasn't terrible but never felt necessary ). Guiba is interesting for sure. I like the card but not as much in this deck where I prioritized the spells and traps. I have a build that plays a slightly larger jurrac package which I may post in the future
I think H.A.T would be my favorite format, seeing how it waa the last format i actully played in

The xyz monsters for this archetype are boss they just require these monsters though 😭
@@ChargedTCG-2001 They're so so strong but yeah not the most generic to play especially with the limited card pool during the time period!
