It would be great if you could provide a video specifically on the ET-4700. In reading the following comments, there are several owners having trouble accessing its printhead. It is not readily accessible and would hate to damage my printer trying to figure it out. I already purchased your cleaning fluid but am concerned I won't be able to do the cleaning successfully without a demonstration or clearer explanation.
If you still have this problem, the ET-4700 has two screws keeping the top from opening and revealing the print head. If you lift the display up to the horizontal position and look right underneath it, you will see 4 screws, if you unscrew the outer two you can lift up the scanner part and access the printhead. If you push up on the hinges of the display it is very easy. Watch out and do not open the top part to far, about 45 degrees is fine, it has three ribbon cables in the back on the left side and will disconnect the scanner cable. Hopefully this is helpfull.
@@marissasmith2226if you didn't get this solved, you can remove the side of the printer (that doesn't have the ink tanks) then grab a good flashlight and look inside near the top. The problem with my one-year-old Epson ET4850 is that I can't refill the ink tank! I noticed the levels are gone, but when I try to refill, the ink doesn't flow down. I checked the ink containers, and the ink came out normally, but when I connected them upside down and pressed it in the printer, the ink would not come. A few months ago, I refilled the ink with no problems then I stopped printing. I am in the process of draining and cleaning the entire unit. What could be clogged that prevents the ink from refilling the tank? Thanks for your help.
I have an Epson 4750 which is printing incomplete documents with lines. Before I tried your cleaning kit, I did a couple of Power cleanings, nozzle cleanings, and changed the maintenance box. The nozzle cleaning paper usually shows all the colors. After using the kit, it printed a couple of good pages but it stopped printing or printing bad printouts. I did another Power Cleaning and waited 12 hours as instructed. Again it printed a good document, and after that it went back to not printing properly. Any advice?

Make sure that you are aligning the cartridges correctly with the carriage. Also make sure that the tubing is not overlapping and lastly try different patterns of installing the cartridges. Maybe the sequence that you're trying to put them in at is making it hard to place them in there.
i just did this process with the product from you link and now my printer is printing blank pages I did do the power cleaning before i tried to print the test page any ideas

@@BestPrinters I did a couple of power cleans and still nothing. Is it true that some printer companies insert something into their printers to make them not work after certain time? So people are forced to buy a new printer? I have had mine for 5 years.
Cleaning procedure seems easy but I can't get my et 4800 open far enough to do the cleaning. Opens up about 3 inches then hits a hard stop. IS there a release somewhere?
I belieive I have followed your directions but I still have a problem filling the tanks in order to start printing again. Have you got any suggestions on how to fill the ink tanks to the 75% ir more that you recommend.?
Maybe you can answer a question about this printer that Epson can't. Why does my printer not show the ink levels in the ink windows in the front of the printer? It has never, from the start, shown any ink levels there. It says, in the printer display panel, to check the ink level thro the windows at the front to check if more ink is needed. In the store, the ink level are plainly seen at the front of a working printer. The maintenance box is 3/4 full with 827 text only pages printed. Every once in a while, the printer makes noise like its cleaning the heads.
@@amystanley4431 lift up the panel with the lcd and you’ll see two black screws at the far corners underneath. Take both out and you should be able to open the upper access. Hi I have a epson et-15000. My print head went bad after not being used often and clogged it. I used cleaning solution thru it on the magenta and it started coming out of my yellow on the print head so I bought another one drained out all my ink. Installed the new print head and filled up my inks now it's printing blanks. You have any idea what is going on. I also have no clogs in the lines or in the dampers. Help me please. TIA
Hey, I just bought mine yesterday and I’m excited too try this bad boy out. I’m just wondering if I’m right this does double sided printing? I hope so because I need it for make my Scentsy pamphlets lol.
I just received my cleaning kit. Since all my heads are showing bad (I get no print on the paper when I do a print head check), I'll be cleaning them all. Since that will pretty much use up my solution I have a question. Can I buy more bottles of the solution or do I have to buy the complete kit again? I won't be needing another syringe but if that is the only way I can get the solution, that is what I'll have to do.
OK, just finished following the steps and have the printer back up. The Yellow and Magenta is working perfectly but the Black and Cyan are not printing at all. I'll have to pull it apart and make sure I have everything hooked back up correctly. Black was the only color that wasn't a problem before I started. Not giving up.
@@BestPrinters - Thanks, I did run the print head cleaner a couple of times but I'm not convinced that a power head cleaner does anything more than just using a lot more ink. It seems like a brut force solution: run enough fresh ink through it and it will eventually clean out the dried ink. What I did was create a doc page with four large squares on it. I created the color in those 4 blocks of Black, Magenta, Yellow and Cyan. Once the three blocks were coloring great, I created another doc page with just one large block that I set the color to 100% Cyan. I am currently running a print for that page over and over again. So far it hasn't started working. I may be wasting some paper but at least I'm not throwing a lot of good ink from the colors that work in the maintenance box. I think my way is a better solution. If doing a power head cleaning actually cleaned the print head some way, it would be worth it but it does not. I used the rest of my solution this morning, 10ml for Black and 10ml for Cyan. As I stated above, the black is working again but not the Cyan. I'll PM you on Amazon. I don't mind paying for the solution but I don't need to buy another syringe. I really wish that there was some way to take the print head box out so I could physically clean the heads but I don't see a way. It would probably require a lot more disassembling than I care to do. On the other hand, it is pretty useless right now.
@@BestPrinters - Well I spent Sunday cleaning and cleaning the heads. I finished by doing a power cleaning even though I have my reservations about how much good that would do. After all that I ran a test to see if it was working. My page came out perfectly. My wife printed out one of her colored patterns she like to print out. Everything was great. This morning I printed out a test page and it was blank. I printed several test pages and it never started printing correctly. I ran the built-in test and hit x so it would do a head cleaning. It wouldn't do it. It said that I had to change the maintenance box again. I think the printer is just beyond help at this point.
did the cleaning for yellow as it was the only issue, but unable to do power cleaning. Any time I try it says to go to their support site. Also got message saying something about clearing nozzles so I did a print head nozzle check and now all my colors are jacked up when before it was just yellow. Now what?
Did as instructed but still no results. Drained the black ink via the vein, but I think the front black ink refill container, [ignore it's name] still shows that it may be full. Question: Is there a way to drain that black ink container? Thanks
It seems to have worked. Sorta. I ran test pages and now the magenta and cyan are printing but still faint. I printed 8 purge pages....and still not full color. HELP!!!
I’m having a warning that my printer is locked to call Epson. I know that the ink pads are needing to be changed but my black in has been giving me issues for months. I have an ET-4800 sublimation. I think the head cleaning would help but I’m unable to do anything with my printer to access the ink cartridges.
Try unplugging and resetting the printer. They may have some luck online finding instructions to do additional resets on the printer so that it gets unlocked or call Epson and see what they can do to help you unlock it then you can do the cleaning.
@@BestPrinters I’ve actually had luck with getting it back to printing. I had a wire that came unplugged and I had to do a flush out of the print heads so I did the black only, changed out my maintenance pads and put it back together and thank god it works. Thank you for your advice though.
You familiar with Brother printers? I pushed cleaning solution through to Brother MFC-250C printhead, I've done it and each ink passage goes all the way through to the printhead as shown by soaked paper towel placed underneath, no clogs, then ran several test prints and printhead cleanings and only got maybe a faint print from the cyan, then nothing. Is the circuitry broken or something? The printer seems to think everything is fine.

The video is great.
But I haven't used the printer for a year now?
Wondering if that can cause to print blank pages?
Good vid. Got your kit and followed step by step. Didn't solve print issues.
Don’t give up, you may need to repeat the cleaning.
Do you know how to open up the back of an ET 4700 to remove stuck paper that I can't grab with my hands
You should be able to press in two tabs on the back and that will release it.
Any advice?

I have an Epson ET 5850 and I’m having a lot of difficulties getting the cartridges back in - any tips?
Make sure that you are aligning the cartridges correctly with the carriage. Also make sure that the tubing is not overlapping and lastly try different patterns of installing the cartridges. Maybe the sequence that you're trying to put them in at is making it hard to place them in there.
@@BestPrinters Good idea! I’ll try different orders of installation. Thanks for the advice!
i just did this process with the product from you link and now my printer is printing blank pages I did do the power cleaning before i tried to print the test page any ideas
You will have to repeat the process make sure that you have full ink and your ink tanks and run several power cleanings as needed.
I got it going it sucks because I went through 3 maintenance boxes and all they have is a splash of ink on them
But it did work and resolved the problem thank you for the video and response I ended up ordering a maintainer box resetter so I didn't lose our one them other boxes. lol
i cant get new ink to flow into the tanks. i know how but it will not go in is there a way to get it going I'm sure i ran it too low.
Can an extra bottle of solution be purchased separately after the original kit is purchased???
Message me on Amazon
I have an issue with Epson 2760.
On a test page the black and red was 100% good. No broken lines. My husband injected a solution/liquid to get the yellow and blue colors working again but now none of the colours are working! Pages come out almost white. What has happened? It is a mystery to us. We do not think that anything is blocked.
Thank you
That is totally normal. The front head has been flushed and now you need to do a power cleaning to make sure all the colors return.
@@BestPrinters I did a couple of power cleans and still nothing.
Is it true that some printer companies insert something into their printers to make them not work after certain time? So people are forced to buy a new printer? I have had mine for 5 years.
Thanks for this. The ET 15000 seems to have a blue lock on the printer head so I can't access the veins or remove the cartridges.
I will be doing a video on the Epson ET 15000 next month.
@@BestPrinters Yay! Thank you
Is this good for the epson 15000
Yes
Cleaning procedure seems easy but I can't get my et 4800 open far enough to do the cleaning. Opens up about 3 inches then hits a hard stop. IS there a release somewhere?
You may be able to loosen the mechanisms that are stopping it from opening all the way
Same with my et2814 so if you found an answer pls share, I couldn't work out how yo loosen the stop mechanism
Is the cleaning solution isopropyl alcohol based? If it is I wonder if that would damage the printer head over time?
No, it wont.
Will this method work if someone squeezed the ink into the reservoir and made a mess rather than just letting it fill at it's own pace?
Yes
I belieive I have followed your directions but I still have a problem filling the tanks in order to start printing again. Have you got any suggestions on how to fill the ink tanks to the 75% ir more that you recommend.?
With a new set of bottled ink.
At the 5:16 mark how did you get to open the upper access? I can't seem to figure it out on mine. Thanks
I can't figure out how to access and remove the lid either on my 4800
@@amystanley4431 lift up the panel with the lcd and you’ll see two black screws at the far corners underneath. Take both out and you should be able to open the upper access. I left them off after performing the clean out as it was a hassle to put them back in. I have no issues as the top remains in a closed position so no need for the screws.
Will this work for the Epson ET 4800 ?
Yes
What's a good replacement ink for this printer?
hi i have the epson ecotank when ET4800 that i am using as a sublimation printer can u help with that or just with regular printing paper
TIA
Hi there
After a head cleaning the nozzle check is good but after a short while head becomes clogged and needs head cleaning again .
Any idea?
Yes, I have seen this before. You may need to do several cleanings over period of several weeks. That is the nature of this repair unfortunately.
great video but it should have started at 1:04
wow
Hey, I just bought mine yesterday and I’m excited too try this bad boy out. I’m just wondering if I’m right this does double sided printing? I hope so because I need it for make my Scentsy pamphlets lol.
Yes it will
I just received my cleaning kit.
If you need more solution, message me via Amazon I will get you more solution.
Remember to run a power cleaning after using the kit.
How can I access the print head on the ET-4700? The printer won't open
You may have to remove some screws.
did the cleaning for yellow as it was the only issue, but unable to do power cleaning. Any time I try it says to go to their support site. Also got message saying something about clearing nozzles so I did a print head nozzle check and now all my colors are jacked up when before it was just yellow. Now what?
You will need to run a power cleaning.
Can I use this method for my eco tank 15000 I sublimated and did use it for two months now it’s printing blank pages
Question: By doing this process, does it void the warranty of the printer with Epson?
Yes but only if the printer is damaged. "5. Damage to the Epson product caused by parts or supplies not distributed by Epson."
I have an EPSON ET-4850
Haven't used it in over a year? But now prints blank pages? How can I get it to print?
I've looked at countless videos and the all show lifting the top off. I can't figure out how to lift the top off. Please Help. Running Epson ET 4700.
Thank you very much. This video was very helpful. You were thorough and made everything easy to understand. Great job! Thanks again
Glad it helped!
Did as instructed but still no results. Drained the black ink via the vein, but I think the front black ink refill container, [ignore it's name] still shows that it may be full. Question: Is there a way to drain that black ink container? Thanks
There is a way to drain it you would have to suck the ink out with an attachment in my kit I sell them on Amazon here, ttps://geni.us/wArXsZT
It seems to have worked. Sorta. I ran test pages and now the magenta and cyan are printing but still faint. I printed 8 purge pages....and still not full color. HELP!!!
Redo the cleaning kit with warmed up solution.
@Best Printers Why do you hate me??
thank you for creating this video, it was easy to understand even for a older fart like me, and it worked!!!
Make sure Cyan is full 100% buy a new cartridge if necessary.
I have a question i have the ep 4700 how can i open it to be able to clean it i can't figure it out? sorry i know its a dumb question
It should have a screw that can be removed.

Hi, I can refill the black in my epson et-4750. It seems that the port for the tank is clog should I use a similar procedure to clean it?
Yes.
I have left my ET-4750 get so low the ink will not accept the ink-seems like a air lock?
There is still a way to suction ink into a syringe and apply it to the ink chambers.
I just bought my Epson 4850. I have to unbox it. But after seeing your video, I try to find a place where I can buy "best printer tech" printhead cleaning kit, the link is showing lots of cleaning printhead kits… but not yours… I live in Europe (the Netherlands) so can you help me with a link on Amazon maybe? Very interesting and informative videos, thank you!🇳🇱
Hi unfortunantely I dont currently sell in Europe. Only in the USA and Canada.
Can you reply to the others who said they have a et 4700
I use to be able to tell when the cells were full of ink, but I noticed the last time there doesn't seem to be the transparency in the plastic ink holders. Is there a more advanced cleaning. Even when I try to put more ink into the printer it will simply not take any more. After printing more pages it still will no longer take the ink.
What do you do if when pushing solution through and it doesn’t go through? Like fully doesn’t push through…. Please help me
Warm up the cleaning solution before application.
Great video and I am responding here to your comment about filling the ink tanks 3/4 way or completely full. My big problem (after trying the various other recommendations, is that I can't get any ink to flow into the tanks from the supply bottles. Have you any suggestions?
Yes I would run a power cleaning, that would push ink back into the system.
@@BestPrinters Where would it push it from if there is nothing in the tanks? I will try it.
It's possible that you can't add ink if the ink tanks are actually full. I'm just mentioning this because you may have already refilled them. Do they actually LOOK low / empty?
After this cleaning, my magenta (original issue) and yellow are now completely not showing up. lOL
That is normal. All you need to do now is a deep cleaning or power cleaning.
@@BestPrinters I did the power cleaning right after and the following day. In the process of replacing inkpads as my last resort. Still trying.
Brandon, I am using the kit to clean very clogged print heads, particularly the yellow (which does not print at all) and magenta (which prints minimally in stripes) of my Epson ET-4700.
I want to clean the prints and empty the tanks so I can switch it to sublimation ink.
So far I have watched at least 20 videos and cannot find one that will give me step 2, opening the printer!
Can you please tell me how to get to the prints in a manner that I can use the kit to flush the print heads? I'm really perplexed and frustrated. All the other printers I've owned have has easy access by just lifting the lid, but this one doesn't seem to have that option.
HELP ME, PLEASE!
Hi Rebecca, you may have a model that requires screws to be removed to have access. You will need to remove those screws.
@@BestPrinters thanks, it worked great! Since I had already replaced it with an ET-4800, I flushed all the printheads, emptied the tanks and loaded sublimation ink. Working terrific and now I'll never have to do without a printer. I'm keeping a fresh set of the cleaning kits around just in case!

Try wiggling and rotating the bottle.

Move in an up and down motion while the bottle is attached.
Hi Brandon, please answer this. I need help with my brother MFC J6945DW which has exact same menu system, and I'm not able to perform head cleaning. When I select that option printer error message pops up but it in fact prints the print quality check sheet. I can perform print command wirelessly but every time I do head cleaning it says Printer Error.
Print quality check sheet shows problem in all colours.
Your printer may have an error that is not allowing you to do the printhead cleaning.
How do I open the copier?
How do you OPEN the printer????
Most helpful. Many thanks.
Of course!
You don’t mention the maintenance box here. If you do numerous power cleanings. Shouldn’t you also have 1-2 of those on hand since they can fill up?
Does this work for the eco tank 15000

What the heck am I supposed to do? I need this printer so it being down for 3 days now has me at max stress
(I've got the et-4700) and I am at the point where I'm about to buy a new printer but without internet at my house I'm finding setup tricky as pretty much all printers make you go online to download drivers. Any pointers will help ^.^'
Yes I would recommend buying a new printer and if you connect directly with a USB you dont need wifi to set up the new printer.
My yellow ink is the one that is not printing. I bought your kit and followed all the instructions to the T. Now my Megenta is not there...hehehe. I'll wait a few days, hopefully it comes back.
You will need to run a power cleaning. Some of the nozzles are interconnected,
I just bought the ET-4850, just loaded the ink, and we keep having lines in the pictures. I don't think I need the cleaning solution on a brand new printer. Any suggestions?
Try adjusting the print settings.
Interesting video, BUT… I have the ET-4700 and there is NO WAY TO GET TO THE PRINTER HEADS!!!!!!

@@BestPrinters have you done the et-15000 yet? It's been 8 months so I'm hoping you have. See my comment above. Thanks
Just one power cleaning filled up my maintenance box and made it unable to perform another until I purchased a new maintenance box. Just FYI.
Yes its still worth it, vs having to buy a new printer.
@@BestPrinters You should definitely put a disclaimer and include that when you do a power cleaning, it uses a ton of ink and WILL fill up your maintenance box, and that you may need to have an extra maintenance box on hand. Most people don't realize how much ink is lost when doing a power cleaning and that it goes directly to the maintenance box.
what if my printer will not allow me to do a power clean?
Try doing a standard cleaning then.
