I live in northern florida. Painted buntings have been coming to my feeders for nearly 8 years. Absolutely amazing every time I see them! They love their millet and their bird baths.🥰
I live in North Central Florida, (Gainesville FL) and I have Male painted bunting that has been coming to my bird feeders every day multiple times for the past month
I just now found out that these beautiful beings exist, and IN THE US!! I'm excited now. I live in Texas though. Hopefully they'll fly this over. Did you simply put white millet out, in order to attract them?
@@nichmon3221 yess millet and suet and a bird bath gotta have water. once they find your yard as a suitable place they be frequent visitors. took me a year to get humming birds to visit. now they stay in the winter ussually one or two. plant trees or shrubs that are kbbn ow to either feed or house the birds and or feed their prey. and they seem to like the long feeders i have 3 up.
They catch them in cuba for entertainment. Only one person can catch 4+ in a morning, now imagine thousands of people catching them every day while they migrate. I’m from cuba and almost every teenager there has a trap cage for catching migratory birds. It’s a shame and I hope actions will be taken some day.

I have a male and female at my feeder in South Louisiana. I was finally able to find out what species of bird they and I’m sooo excited about it!!
There have been three showing up at my feeders. I'm in southwest Florida.

finally they show up in my yard! excited Orlando Area. A mated pair im assuming as male and female are showing up.

I also just found out these birds exist...just showed up in our yard in Louisiana.
They fly to Cuba in the winter so most of the people captures there these beautiful birds Just to oit then on cages 😭
