Thank you Jim you've led a great life and taught me a lot about HAM over the years, I'm a younger HAM radio technician, EMT, Lifeguard, and in Paramedic school.
I appreciate everything you've done. As far as water intake it can be hard, every time you think this hurts, this burns, this sucks, drink water, every time any annoying thought crosses your head take a sip of water, and you will be hydrated.
Don't be afraid to ask for constant oxygen therapy, it's better to have the nasal cannula on you all the time, even if you don't want it, because when you fall asleep your oxygen saturation needs to stay high.
I don't need to tell you that everyone has the sunset on their life but if this is yours I hope it's peaceful, and know You've changed and helped so many lives.

Jim, you have contributed sooo much to the knowledge base that hams have come to depend on. I’ve been a ham since 1967, Extra since 1970, and I’ve learned a lot from you. BTW, I still want to build a remote antenna switch like your vacuum relay switch. Love that. Thank you for all you have done for amateur radio. You are on our prayer list.

I'm an AML survivor, 12 years of remission.
Eat and drink clean. Positive thoughts and words only, because your whole being is listening and will respond accordingly.
FYI.... The pain doesn't go away, my oncologist doesn't know why, she says its just part of it, its basically a type of induced fibromyalgia, by eating clean I can keep the pain at a minimum.
Because of ALL of the pharma that I was given my body no longer tolerates pharmaceuticals of any sort, no tolerance for OTC either.
    Lucky I guess. Seriously!!
Prayers and Positive thoughts sre headed your way!!!!
    You can do this!!!!
The 'Thing that Shall Not Be Named' will not win because you are tougher then it, you are not one to give in or give up!!!!
IT HAS NO POWER OVER YOU!!!
Stay Strong, Stay Focused, Stay Yourself!!

I'm so sorry Jim. God Bless.
My grandma, my grandfather and my mum all died of cancer - my mum survived multiple cancers over 30 or so years.
My Australian state was where much of the British above ground nuclear testing took place as well as other radialogical experiments (e.g. if I understand correctly they'd distribute isotopes in the wind).
I'm convinced the people I love died due to nuclear testing and I am very angry about it.
Our governments have much to answer for and I don't think we can judge other cukltures e.g. Soviets, Russians etc without taking a good look at what our own governments have done to our own peoples.

Jim, I have been folowing your youtube chanel for a few years and am grateful that you have shared knowledge with the rest of us. Sharing your medical issues with us may seem weird to some, but indeed you are offering insight for the rest of us should we find our own health on a similar trajectory. Your willingness to share with us is selfless. I sincerely hope that you can remain as comfortable as possible. Yes I agree hydrocodone is a colon stopper, I lived on it for about 4 months. What I can offer is what I did, and that was my diet consisted of fruit and vegetable smoothies which seemed to help keep things moving. As for copious amounts of liquid, I generally need to have some flavor to my water like tea, honey, citrus, or combinations of things to make it easier for me to drink enough liquids in general without fighting Leukemia.
