I don't think this has anything positive or negative to do with race. There are beautiful voices in every race and if you put her recordings blind up against ten other sopranos, no one would be able to reliably guess who is white, black, brown, red, yellow or any other color...let's just appreciate her for the amazing singer that she is.
The timbre is different in the African race. So proud of Jeanine Debique...a daughter of two tiny islands, likely the most musical islands in the planet (!) 🇹🇹The Republic of Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 ( The Steelpan and Calypso ( Kaiso) came from us, as well as Soca, Chutney, Rapso and Parang music at Christmas time )

daniel mooij - I have some issues with her tone... I find it somewhat burdensome to listen to her... I think there might be some timing issues as well. To me there is something lacking when I compare her to other sopranos I have heard and more importantly from my gut and intellectual response to her singing. To me there is simply something flat about her delivery. I don’t mean flat in terms of pitch though I experience some discomfort when I listen to her sing. To me something is off with her vocalization and her ability to transfer mood.
