    Great video, I am looking to fly with them. Did you need to do a RT-PCR test before flying or just a regular PCR test for COVID-19 negative status for checking in to board the flight ?

    • @alwaysaviation2535
      @alwaysaviation2535  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I know it was just a regular PCR test that had to be NEGATIVE, this had to be shown at check in (not sure if it’s via QR code or paper at the moment, best to call the airline to find out)

    I don’t have mixed feelings about the tints on the 787 windows. I absolutely *hate* them lol. And I hate the way the cabin crew on various carriers will turn them down and lock them for the majority of a daytime flight. I’m a window gazer & can happily stare out at the sky for an entire 8 hour flight without touching the ife. Those horrible blue tints feel as if you’re underwater & produce an almost claustrophobic effect. I actively avoid the Dreamliner if there’s an alternative, solely for this reason.

    • @Mshennyxo

      I FELT THIS. If the tint is on pilot lock my shutter stays down, the horrible blue effect just ruins my mood😭

    gulf air has alot of potential to compete with many carriers but I think it's going to be a long way until then. They have improved alot!
    P. S: did you try clicking the "more" option for movies? Because many people don't see that, in total there are more than 100 movies available on-board.

    • @alwaysaviation2535

      I agree too, they’ve made a good start with the ambience on board, they now need to polish the rest, and no I didn’t, thanks for letting me know!

      @@alwaysaviation2535 Gulf has been around for a lot longer than Emirates, Etihad, Oman Air and Qatar Airways. In fact, Gulf used to serve Dubai, Musca and Abu Dhabi from LHR.....

      I am glad I flew with them, it’s safe to say that you can feel emirates’ budget cuts and reduced levels of service from what they used to offer

    • @alwaysaviation2535
      @alwaysaviation2535  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@falcon1017 personally I think yes, I used to fly with emirates since 2004 and back then you’d get a hot towel in economy (proper one not packaged), the meals were a lot bigger including an emirates branded chocolate (no longer there), premium alcohols are to be paid for now in economy whereas free before, so yeah you can definitely feel the budget cuts however if you’ve not flown with emirates back in the day you’ll still enjoy your flight with them

    • @alwaysaviation2535
      @alwaysaviation2535  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@falcon1017 wether you’ve got the 787/a320neo their economy is clean and tidy with amazing colours, enough leg room, sockets for charging electronics, so overall good atmosphere,
      IFE is sufficient, can’t compete with ICE from Emirates however you won’t be bored, I’d also suggest downloading a show on Netflix and watching it on board if nothing takes your fancy👍🏼

    Hi just wanted to ask do fully vaccinated passengers flying to bahrain on gulf need a pre departure pcr test as it says no need anymore for fully vaccinated

    • @alwaysaviation2535
      @alwaysaviation2535  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As per my knowledge / when I had travelled on gulf (august 29th 2021), you need a PCR test regardless of your vaccination status, also keep in mind different airlines/countries have different rules, I would suggest getting in contact with the airline to find the answer, if I was in your position I would get a PCR test done anyway because you don’t want to get stuck because you don’t have that handy

      You need a negative covid-19 PCR test and if you have documentation to show the test was negative this should be enough, (most likely get certification from test provider)

    can I split the weight of my baggage to the required baggage allowance? the allowed baggage is 2x23 kg can the other luggage be heavier than the other but still 46 kg overall. Thank you

    • @alwaysaviation2535
      @alwaysaviation2535  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not entirely sure, it makes sense that as long as the overall weight adds up to 46kg it shouldn’t be a problem however I know airlines do tend to be a bit hectic when it comes to baggage, I would be safe and stick to one baggage at 23Kg, but do double check with the airline
