Less color than tv and dimmer and do play with user settings to get best picture... sound is great for a bedroom. I will go to 500 range next and try that maybe in my 2nd year...1 year and it is the preferred bedroom tv.
So, it's only sharp in the center and it's noisy. In other words it couldn't possibly worth it.... I have gotten an M18 projector as a present for my brother. All the reviewers were saying that the image is sharp and stunning. So I gave those 180 euros and ordered one. I tested it aaaand... Sharp only in the middle and loud as hell... The best part is that in order to get a somewhat in focus image, you have to project your image at an exact 90 degrees angle width and height wise... Pretty hard to have a projector totally centered when you want to have it in a normal room... If you don't center it like that, the whole image is terribly out of focus... Even if you do that, you end up with the center in focus and the rest kind of blurry... The cause of this problem is the optics inside those cheap projectors. The most critical optic elemenet (the one that normalizes the spread of the LCD image and also manages the keystone correction (if I make sense at all, I don't know what it's called)) is made out of plastic and not glass. Better projectors have that made out of glass and the keystone correction built into the main lens system (yes, I have disassembled some units). If you want my opinion, yes about 500 bucks for an Epson or an Optoma or a BenQ or a Viesonic are totally worth it over 200 wasted bucks.... It's not like you get a somewhat comparable image for half the price or lower, you get a useless image for those 200 bucks.... Get a projector with proper optics and serious cooling solutions... As I end my comment, I want to thank you for stating that the image is sharp only on the middle. Although you made it sound like no big deal... But at least you said it. No one else does... they all praise this piece of junk... You got my like just for that.
Well, the projector it not that bat but, WARNING: If you buy the Android version, you'll discover that this projector can't play full HD content from apps like netflix or amazon video because the hardware have a DRM L3 limitations. So, at least you connect a smart BluyRay or a high grade Tv Box, the android versions installed in the proyector will run only in 540p resolutions. It's a shame.
