Have a 2002, 4x4, 2l diesel with manuel, with sun ruf, 244.000km and love it, my first suv and 4x4 and never let me down once, use it to work and daily driving😃🇳🇴
    90's and early 2000's Toyota's are bulletproof and i am fan boy😍

I own a 2005 Toyota rav 4 and it’s super reliable never left me stranded. I recently got both cats replaced and brand new exhaust system runs and drives like new I owned it for 3 years so far

I love hearing that! I’ve had mine for over 8 years. Love it!
I need a new catalytic converter too, but we don’t have emissions testing in Washington state so I’m lucky so far lol.

i'm looking to get one of these for my first car, or a 1st gen rav4. Both are excellent. I'm also up in Washington, you see a lot of rav4s around here!

These RAV4s are very popular in that area, good luck with your search! If you can an AWD then bonus!

That’s awesome any big repairs? I did a valve cover gasket on both which is easy to do. I did my shocks and 1 wheel bearing. Over 220k on my 2001 and over 210k on my 2002. Such a well engineered SUV! I need new catalytic converters but will hold off since we don’t have emissions testing any more in Washington state.

Not anything big yet. Only normal parts. Swaybar dogbones every corner and front both ball joints.

I plan on keeping mine forever. They don’t lose resale value either.

I have 2002 with 228k on the odometer bought it used use it to commute to work and DoorDash, change oil every 3k because to hard city dashing, only replaced rack pinion, but have a code p430 will soon replace catalytic converter soon.

Wow that’s a lot of miles, the RAV4s are truly reliable. I have two RAV4’s and both of them over 200,000 miles with the same code. Luckily these vehicles are located in Washington where they do not have emissions testing. If you get a good deal on the catalytic converter let me know where I can get one too.
Now that you remind me, I probably should change my power steering fluid
