19:52 Archaludon also has access to support from like, Full Metal Lab (Metal) and Rigid Band (Stage 1) for even more damage resistance. It even removes it's own weakness by attacking. Could even be a use case for Precious Carrier, potentially, to get All of your Durlaudons and Radiant Greninja in play super consistently without having to be reliant on seeing a ton of Nest Balls, and since they can't be Buddy-Buddy Poffined for. The Ultra Balls don't even feel bad to search the Archaludon cause you need the metal energies in the discard pile anyways. Really excited for this deck.
1:15 I feel two weeks is a good time to post these set reviews / buy list 3 weeks I might forget 2 weeks It's around prerelease when folks are thinking of the set Anyway Thanks for the review
10:25 gothitelle item lock in 2011/2012 didn't hit for 180 normally, but attacking fully loaded into an x-ball mewtwo (meta staple at the time) was enough for a knockout which would've been at least 170+
so i think the best play with garg is some sort of split with the energizing rock salt one from paradox rift; its dynamotor for fighting but also heals 30 from the pokemon, so its both healing and acceleration for the big garg ex
Nice video! Sorry to bother, but I have a question: Do you have a video for new players that would like to buy some staples and have some cards to build decks? Cause idk where to find a "Good" list for that or what to do to start play in real. I found some lists but actually every card is important. Any advice? Tysm for your time!
Waiting for dachbun EX to release to combine it with my quaquaval EX and neo upper energy, bounce the neo upper to hand when you attack, quaquaval gets punched and you heal it with dachbun EX, re attach neo upper to your quaquaval on your turn.
Grand Tree is gonna be another Ace Spec contender for Zard honestly, boosts its consistency even more without the need of having candy pidgeot candy zard in hand AND still being able to use other supporters or being more aggressive in ur turn 2
@@jackcooper3193 effectively yes but it’s much better than trying to draw Rare candy Zard rare candy Pidgeot turn 2, forest seal stone can search it out or rare candy Pidgeot into evolving Charmander to Charmeleon with Grand Tree, failing search and ultra balling for Zard with that, it also allows for cool plays with Dusknoir later down the line if the stadium remains in play, of course Stamp and Prime Catcher r still really good but I believe Grand Tree is another Ace Spec to consider for consistency if u aren’t good drawing Candy Zard Candy Pidgeot turn 2 effectively
@@AzulGG yeah i keep forgetting about the random stipulations in this set, i spent a solid 10 minutes trying to figure out what the best hoothoot would be for GLC to play with the new noctowl before remembering the tera stipulation...

Drednaw, Luxurious Cape, Triple Accel Energy, Max Potion, Shrine of Punishment
Sounds like a meme deck to me. :D

Anyway
Thanks for the review
Well if you do end up forgetting you can just rewatch this video a week later 🤷♂️

Pidgeot ex with gravity stone control feels like it might be a real thing
"Mulch-munchin'"mankey is too powerful tbh
@10:22 I think the closest was Pikachu V-Union that did item lock and 150 damage but yeah...V-Unions were just bad though.
hey mewtwo v union did really well competively
Wooooo Sky Field is back!
im heading over to a prerelease in an hour, so I'll be keeping all this in mind. thanks!

Awesome stuff!!
Colorless control seems interesting, also makes Ursa more tanky.

Cornerstone is probably the best tera enabler imo
Bouffalant doesn’t work with Pidgeot because the bouf ability only reduces damage on basic colorless pokemon
I'm actually a little excited to play the weird archaludon box
Same, Archaludon is my fave so I’m hella ready
Especially with the Archaludon ex on the horizon with surging sparks

Zards effect is only when played from hand
@@ShadowSlasherSSZara also only needs 2 fire to attack. Just attach turn 1 and 2 then activate Grand Tree
Idk seems kinda worse to me, doesn't it mean you need to add in a bunch of stage 1s?
No

Briar is gonna go so hard as a one of in spread decks, holy shit
Must energy would stop Rotom from ditching a tool? It’s not being done to the Pokémon is it?
6:56 Which Palkia are you referring to? (if you mean V and VStar, I thought it would potentially be G-on on March of next year)
I am referring to the V and VSSTAR which will be legal for play when Stellar Crown comes out
Bouffalant's ability doesn't work on Pidgeot ex, you cooked too much on this one Mr. Blue Sky
Oh only basic I might need some glasses

Do you see Joltik’s good with iron hands? it helps to set up for amp you very much in 1 turn or it is too slow?
If it's for Miraidon ex wouldn't it be better to just play Peak Accel Miraidon?
Joltik seems like it's going to be one of those cards that shows up a lot. Thinning and fixing is always good.
Does Drago VSTAR get anything from this set?
Pikachu v-union did 150 with item lock
I'mma be honest I hate Chien Pao. It's so annoying to watch your opponent set up the win the exact same way every time, and then die because I'm bad.
Evil klinlkang
bro called hydrapple a meme deck 💀 the fact people take azul seriously is wild
Wanna bet?
As someone who loves the apple line, I don't think hydrapple is going to be anything better than meme-tier. It saddens me greatly.
