  • This will show you how to use the BON Recruits script to recruit AI from a location that you place on the map in the editor. You can also then dismiss them if you no longer need them.

    What if you already have a description.ext file in your mission folder? Do you add it to that one? And does it matter where the script is added, above or below? Or do you make a new description.ext?

    I did everything you said in the video but it makes me "Resource RecruitUnitDialog not found" and it doesn't work ... I don't know what to do

      You haven't placed files in the correct place (folder).

      I had the same problem and realized that when I made the folder "...ext" or "...sqf" they were still text files. you have to do a save as inside the file to change the extension. www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=change+file+to+sqf#kpvalbx=_-hGUZba-MpaUwbkPkLa0uAo_29

    When press recruit infantry error shows as "Resource RecruitUnitsDialog not found"

    man this is working nicely! isthere any way i could modify it so the ai isnt joining me but another squad so i can use them with high command?

      There may be some AI mod that you can use, but there's nothing I know of.

    There's a chicken and egg scenario going on here. You saved your scenario so you already have the necessary files in the mission folder. How to do that without having the files already there?

      Create the text files and type them out. How else do you think they got there? It's a downloadable script, just like I say in the video.

    Would be cool if you could set the prices, so players cant just recruit unlimited units. Any alternatives that have this?

      No, this script is not a pay for units thing.

    i did it your way and another guys way and i get the pop up file missing. tried both file locations . it's literally the last step. why isn't it recognizing or what isn't it

      Check your file names and locations. Is there an error message?

      @@OnlineCombatBN script bon_recruit_units/open_dialog.sqf not found. Does the editor Map need to be saved in MPmissions not Missions? sorry i'm new.
      (oh i just noticed your file pathway is in PC documents, not the core game folder . i'll try this out see how it goes. Update. still doesn't work with the Files in C:\Users\Maxsa\Documents\Arma 3\mpmissions. Do i only need 1? Bcz i added 1 for MP & Missions just to figure out if it's a system type setting or something. tried both maps MP and Mission and my mod is AI_recruit_script_stratis (i got the exact same files as you but does it only work on stratis only ? :S) i'm on malden. should i remove the Ai recruit folder from the core game folder MP/Miss or does that not matter. i've got it in 4 locations now. update i just tested stratis and it works there. my only question is, do your scripts work on any map(vanilla) if i was to replace it with yours? just noticed you saving the game file which looks important coz stratis has AI-Recruit_stratis and yours is AI_join_group. tested malden save game as AI Join Group and didn't work. i'm open for options

    for me it doesn't work, when I try to press on the recruit infantery in game, I have a message "script bon_recruit_units/open_dialog.sqf not found", can you help me

      Check the files and folders. You have moved it to somewhere it shouldn't be.

    Any way to have it in two different locations? want to have two different camp sites that you can recruit from.

      Just do everything twice and make sure variable names are different and changed in two separate scripts.

      You can but unless you know what you're doing You might break something
