@@mavisevelyn618 It's not quite the same. Bowie's 3rd and 4th chords are A Major and C major, MCR uses C sharp diminished and C minor instead.

@@lt7601 its definitely closer to Pink Floyd than Bowie in terms of the chords. In terms of instrumentation its classic Ziggy Stardust Bowie during the less heavy portions of the song (and of course a few flourishes of Queen in between)

Reading the comments in a "Five Years" video I saw this song mentioned as being inspired in the Bowie's one, so here I am listening for the first time and I can hear Five Years all throughout this, like the basic step on which is constructed, I end up loving this one too.
