Just still so amazed by my nails and thank you for posting this video. I got almost everything from your list about a year ago and once that old weak damaged nail bed finally all grew out, my nails have never been so white long and strong I just stare at them lol I'm obsessed. If I stop this regime though peeling and breaking will occur so it is important to keep nails nourished that I've learned. Key products for me are the nailtiques formula 2 and the cnd oil or coconut oil or argan. Any oil to moisturise. Thank you again Christine xx
Christine always puts time and effort in her videos just so it makes it easier for us I honestly love the fact that she just spends time & puts quality in her videos, you can't find that anywhere nowadays. Thank you (:
So it's been a few months now since I saw this video and ordered everything I didn't already have and my nails now are 3/4 the length of yours now and STRONG, white and no more peels!! I really can't thank this video enough.. The main thing out of all these that made a huge difference were the nailtiques, keeping cuticles and nails moisturised and the crystal file. Also by letting the nails breathe overnight polish free and moisturised is a must. Thank you again!
Great video with great tips, thanks :) Side note, Tip for any ladies who have tried the baking soda and hydro peroxide and find it to be a little too harsh or drying for your nails, lemon will also brighten and whiten your nails, so soaking just rub a lemon over and under your nails and it works just as great as the baking soda and hydro peroxide treatment
Lemon juice is not strong enough, and I find it is very drying as well. Part of my problem is that my nails peel. When I garden the nails actually allow some dirt to get in between layers and the only thing that helps is cutting and filing, then I soak in a clorox and water solution. If anyone has a remedy for the peeling, I would really appreciate it!!!
i like you best out of all gurus because you're not conceited and you don't brag. you're really down to earth and you get straight to the point and are really helpful. never stop making videos!
I have learned so much from your tutorial. After two months, my nails have become long, strong and beautiful. I never thought my nails would grow like this. Thank you so much!
Oh and cost wise, it actually balances out to be fairly affordable because all of my oils double as my hair care products as well. Supplies like the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda are dirt cheap. The Burt's bees cuticle cream lasts forever. The most expensive item is the Nailtiques which last quite a long time as well.
Thank you for such a detailed, informative video. I picked up so much valuable information, and I know I will rewatch this many times. You are so generous with your time to make clear, high quality videos that your subbies can enjoy. I, for one, am so grateful. Take care, Christine! Aloha, K.
Thanks! Actually they stay pretty well maintained just from doing the oil treatments, it softens the cuticles and massaging the oils in, pushes back the cuticle without much effort at all. xoxo
Thanks! Definitely, the CND Solar oil makes an excellent oil treatment all by itself. I just mix oils sometimes since I already have them, I use them on my hair and skin as well. The virgin coconut oil is totally okay to heat, it won't change the nutrients or natural scent. xo
Great video! I used to use the Burt's Bees cuticle butter, but for the past 3 months I've been using Badger cuticle treatment. It comes in a little tin. It's all natural and organic. My hands and nails got really ratty in April when I moved into a new house (from all the packing and cleaning). I found the Badger treatment really healing. I really love it.
Your nails are so so gorgeous. I used to be a nail biter, but then I watched your video for the first time about a year ago and was envious and stopped! Now my nails are gorgeous too:)
Thank you so much - I love how much effort you put in your videos. You always talk about basics and then show what you actually do. Keep up the great work!
Oh polka dots are my fave too! Yeah we plan to keep Maui as our home for a long time. Of course we like to travel too but we enjoy coming home to the warmth of Hawaii.
I've just gotten into caring for my nails and I was on youtube browsing for a video to show me step by step how to do just that and I'm thankful for you and your video. Your video was very helpful and thorough and I will be purchasing the products you have listed. Thanks =)
Girls from experience all this stuff works! I'm such a bad nail biter but i committed to her routine every night and my nails grew so long and pretty! All the girls at work were amazed with my nails they thought they were done at a salon. lol i highly recommend her treatments!
My pedicures are more simplified, I focus mostly on overall foot care, keeping them soft with lotions and oils, the nails get moisturizing (natural oils/cuticle oil) treatments, then just base coat, nail polish, and topcoat. :)
Ah yes, it does take an extra bit of care. I like to paint my nails at a table or vanity, using that flat surface to your advantage can really help your hands stay steady. Keeping your fingers flat on the table, gently roll or tilt each finger slightly from side to side as you're painting. Keep your other hand controlling the brush steady by resting it on the table as well. Hope that helps! :)
I've been taking Biotin only for a couple months, I've noticed subtle results so far, I plan to keep taking it and see how it works. I've only tried two Nutra Nail Products, both from their "Naturals" line, the growth serum and I picked up their strengthener with bamboo extracts, still testing that one. I can't speak for how their regular line performs but this Naturals growth serum is a must have for me. Also you might want to give Nailtiques Formula 2 a try. :)
I've been watching many of your videos since aaccidentally stumbling onto your channel. My son and his family live in Lahaina and the fact that you live on Maui too was what initially attracted me to your channel. I'll keep watching because of your matter of fact approach and down to earth attitude...keeping it real. Thank you!! Oh, and I'm learning things too! :)
this video is fabulous and I love it. Because of you, I bought a mini size of Zoya's remove + and so far, I love it. I may have been converted. Also I'm dying to get my hands on some of that 100% Pure body lotion and scrub. You're my favorite beauty person on TH-cam right now. Keep being awesome and wonderful Christine!
I tried messaging back but it failed, so I'll answer here. I had totally forgot to mention the things I don't do. I tend to agree with the dermatologists in this regard. I never cut my cuticles and I actually don't put much focus on pushing them back either. But they stay well groomed since I do my oil treatments every week, merely massaging the oil into the nails and cuticles naturally softens the cuticle and keeps them pushed back gently without really having to try. Hope that helps! :)
Wow girl you are a nail pro!!! I really loved the trick with baking soda, didn't know about this one before. I've been using Zoya since I found out about it from you and I love it.
This is the best, most well thought out, most thorough, most well informed, and most organized nail tutorial I've seen. This is truly helpful, and I like that you put the effort into listing everything in the description. Really good quality review. I'll be subscribing for more of these. :>
I consider it to be in a category all it's own, a nail strengthener. I prefer to apply it under my base coat, I have tried using it in place of my base coat but my nail polish doesn't last as long that way. :)
This is actually just all my routines rolled into one video. I do a deep cleaning/brightening scrub once a week, oil treatment twice a week or when I have time. I only file when necessary. Manicure/nail polish routine about every 3 days. :)
Some nail strengtheners are definitely thicker than others, if using a thick one I'd make that my base coat. But it also depends on how it performs as a base coat. I love my Nailtiques Formula 2 but when used alone I don't think it makes the best base coat. Also it dries quite thin, so it doesn't interfere with the thickness of the overall manicure. :)
love your tips. The nail whitening scrub worked wonders on my nails. I also ordered the Mont Bleu files, they are amazing. I have used nailtiques & seche for years, they keep my nails so long & strong (but I'm bummed they aren't more natural/chemical free), & I am convinced the nailtiques yellows my nails. Glad your whitening scrub did the trick. I love how you use a lot of natural products.
Why are you nails so perfect?! 😭 I wish mine looked that healthy! My nails grow so fast, but they are super thin and chip/flake all the time. I need to find a way to strengthen them. Well, your nails are beautiful! Thank you for the video ♥️
Thank you Christine. I really liked your video, very helpful. Love to care about my nails and hands, too. Don't have Burt's Bees in Italy but managed to find a retailer online a while ago. I'm in love with their products! they work amazingly and smell great; not cheap products because they are imported from the US, so every time I use them, I feel it's a wonderful treat. xxx
I believe they make it in multiple sizes which are all packaged differently. I have the 2.3 oz which comes in this globe shape bottle. Definitely checkout the CND website to see what they offer.
I started a nail treatment about a month ago but I feel that I need more products so,I went to Walgreen today and bought the Nailtiques Formula 2 and yes its a bit pricey. I have thin nails that don't grow so fast so I started taking a supplement for hair, skin and nail and that has help a lot. thanks for sharing tomorrow I'll go get the rest of product you recommend.
zoya once had a free offer or a suer cheap offer for 3 nail polishes, i when we got them i was so excited! Zoya is pretty good, id love to have a full collection of them like you!
base coat prevents your nails from getting stained from the nail polish you're going to use. also it prevents your nails from getting yellow over time, base coats sometimes help your nail polish to stay on longer
Last year I tried the OPI Nail Envy for peeling nails, but I didn't get any fantastic results. Their original Nail Envy formula might be better than the one I tried.
"hope you find this video helpful"... Pffft, your videos are always helpful! Always so prepared and professional and classy... Not to mention you are well-spoken. And highly entertaining!!! Okay enough gushing but I love TH-cam and never have time to comment enough so it builds up to one big compliment comment :) Cheers, thanks for the vids.
WOW this is the best nail care video I've ever seen! very detailed & direct to the point. That paste you used on your nails works like magic :D wish I had long nails as yours. glad you didn't stay away for long & hope you find a good editing software soon :D
Great tips, you also just reminded me how finicky my body is lol. I never had food intolerances or allergies until my adult years, weird. I can't eat dairy, most nuts, eggs, fish... Ugh, such a bummer. I use to love salmon too!! Oh man and in Alaska I bet it's amazing!!
Great video ... Thanks for the tips. My nails are always short but I have been growing them out , and they are growing nicely . I will incorporate some of your tips . I love the tip on the baking soda and perioxide. I will definitely do it tonight. So far I love all the videos I have watched.
Also another great benefit to Biotin is its good for your digestive system. If you have any bowl issues like IBS or indigestion its good to take. Also ingesting vitamin C in citrus like grapefruits or oranges is good to combat inflammation disorders (I took a lot of vitamin C when I had horrible eczema on my hands). I used coconut oil or bag balm on my hands when I had bad blisters or eczema its amazing.
I just went out to the store and bought these nail care products and I'm so excited! Question: I noticed that the nailtiques strengthener and the growth serum stay on your nail like a top coat. Should I take it off before repeating my nail care routine the next day? Thanks so much Christine! :)
thanks for the tips, i was planing to buy argan oil, so i'm buying it immediately. i think it's also good for skin and hair...you should absolutely try lush lemony flutter cuticle cream. it texture is creamy so applies very easily, smells perfect, and i think the best cuticle moisturizer ever. you can also use it for your elbows, and foot etc, because it moisturizes dry skin perfectly! i apply it every night before going to bed, and wake up with the perfect soft and healthy cuticles
I am a writer (female) and always kept my nails short until recently. I love your videos, very thoughtful and informative. Intelligently done. Thank you for taking the time to share with us what works for you. My routine is working for me, despite the fact that I am pounding a keyboard all day long. But I am always seeking, and I will definitely check out some of your suggestions. ;)
I always new your nails where natural i have naturally long sleek nails like yours too and i love them! You can tell the oils work their magic! Your cuticles look so mousturized and line free lol cant wait to go get my oils thanks! :)
I would try a using a the base an top coat that she mentions here. The products from Zoya do not have as many chemicals that are drying and cause your nails to split and peel. Also they hold the polish on for longer. usually 4-5 days. Revlon Color Stay works well, but like most polishes they have a lot of chemicals that cause my nails to peel and split as well. As they say you pay for what you get :) I know I too have tried many products, and I am still learning!
Oh my gosh, your nails are ssooo nice. Your definitely by new nailspiration! I'm gonna start doing this stuff to my hands/nails and hopefully they will turn out as healthy and beautiful as yours!
p.s. Oh, and the Burts Bees almond hand cream costs around $9 at our Target and also grocery store. So, yes it is a little expensive, but so worth it. Plus if you only use it like you suggested in another video as a night time, before going to bed treatment, it should last a while.
I believe someone already left a similar comment on this video, but I didn't see a response so I figured I would ask. I know you love both Zoya polish and Seche Vite top coat, but do you ever have issues with excessive chipping when you use them together? I've read that Seche Vite and many fast-dry topcoats contain an ingredient that makes them "incompatible" with Zoya's 3-free formula.
TY! That Nailtiques is the real deal! My first time hearing about it was on here and I bought mine and started using it on the 1st of this month. In a week and a half this stuff has seriously made my nails "Ford Tough"; Not these new Fords, the STEEL BODY Fords from back in the day. HA! I HIGHLY recommend this product too. This is my 3rd time in a span of 2 yrs growing my nails out on their own and I always start biting them again b/c they would split or break, but not with this stuff. It works.
I know I have asked you this before, but I would like to know of whenever you decide to take off your glitter polish, does the cotton pad or cotton ball get ripped apart? Will you make a video based somewhat on that topic? Thank you. Oh I love your videos by the way they are really informative.
Also, I have a few questions. When you do your night treatment of oils, do you wear gloves to prevent oil from getting on stuff? Also, in the video, there are a few scenes where it looks like your nails have a sheer nail polish on. Like at the very very beginning of the video. Do you have a tutorial for that look?
No, we decided to wait and switch from Windows to a MAC, hopefully soon. So I'm using movie maker still... but very delicately! Poor thing gets upset easily lol.
I am literally in love with your nails! I look up to them and use them as my inspiration. I have been biting them for ever and I always wished I could stop but I just never did and I saw this video an was so motivated! Thankyou so much I'm going to follow all of your advice an hope to have as good of nails as you do some day :)
Nailtique s can be purchased for less than $15.00 or better. I had damaged nails from wearing acrylics for too long and I used Nailtique s Formula 2 Plus, clear iodine and TIPS Nail treatment. All of these items gave me back my nails. Don't wear acrylic nails for to long, you must give your natural nails a break and do treatments. I am now using Gelish gel nails and properly remove them and you will never damage your nails. Thank you for your videos.
Aww thank you!! I'll have to try Lush's Lemony Flutter! I did try OPI Nail Envy for a few months, it was okay but the Nailtiques Formula 2 yielded better results.
Thanks so much for making this! I've been waiting for you to do this video since your Morning til Night video. My nails grow to a reasonable length, but they're weak and peeling and they've become very yellow because of how much I clean. I hope some of your recommendations will work for me. :)
Great video! I am so impressed with how the baking soda and peroxide whitened up your nails! i'm so doing that today! thanks for all the info on the products... I'm very interested in what you have to say about the seche vite. I use it and i'm still on the fence about it being a cancer survivor and all, the chemicals seem so strong....
Christine you always amaze me with your video's,Im literally sitting on the edge of my seat listening to every word!!...Your such a good teacher and all the products u recommend are always a hit with me! Thank you so much for taking the time to test out all these products! I was wondering if u organize ur nail polishes by seasonal favorites? Im using an old spice rack that I got at value village, painted it white and distressed it,I added a shelf so I would have 4 shelves, one for each season.=)
Does the topical application of products really work?! I understand that keeping nails moisturized with oils keeps them from being brittle, but basically once your body has made your nail structure it's pretty much permanent. Do the serums you use get down into the nail bed and matrix and stimulate growth?
Great video, Christine, but I cannot find Nutra Nail Naturals Nail Growth Serum anywhere. I am watching it 4 years after you posted it, so either they changed the name or the packaging of it. Do you know anything about that? Thank you for the video and the products recommendations.
The people who say nail care isn't working for you, it must be because you weren't patient. It works for me and I have been doing it for a few months. But we are all different. We all have different nails, oils, hair, so it must be because we're different and things take a longer or shorter time to grow. I'm just saying. :)
Thank you for this! I'm working hard to get my poor peel-y nails in good shape. Yours are amazing and you make polishing look so easy. Thank you, thank you. Now, fingers crossed, here I go. XOXO Susan
thanks so much for this video!!! i always notice how long and pretty your nails are, and i have been trying to grow my nails and look after them a bit better so this video is so helpful!! :)
Have been eagerly anticipating this vid, really loved watching you do your nail care at the end of a couple of day in the life vids you have done. This was so helpful, thank you! I also love the burts bees lemon cuticle cream, and have just purchased the lush lemony flutter to try, also smells beautiful! Might give the nailtiques a go for my peeling. Thank you very much x
Kind of, in my opinion it is. The base coat stops your nails from yellowing and looking dull. But if you don't really care about yellowing, skipping a base coat is fine.
Hi Christine. I have a question about the nutria nail naturals serum. I bought 2 of them on eBay because they are discontinued and when I received them I noticed it doesn't feel like a serum, it feels like almost watery. Is that the way it supposed to be or did I get fake ones.
Your video on your nail care routine was wonderful! I'm excited to try your nail cleaning paste idea and to use my argan oil...normally my everyday hair routine...for my nails.:) your nails are so beautiful too! Thank u ever so much!!!
Thank you! I had nice natural nails until i started doing nail art alot and constantly redoing them with out actually caring for the nails/cuticles so i'm in desperate need of help i think this video is going to prove very useful to me so! Thanx again.
I appreciate the fact that you get straight to the details. Very well done!
Nikki Harmoni me too! I get tired and change videos if the girl goes blah blah blah blah about random crap.
Just still so amazed by my nails and thank you for posting this video. Thank you! Depends on what topcoat you're using. I always use Seche Vite which they recommend applying it over wet nail polish for best results.
Damn that's a lot of steps... but your nails are GORGEOUS!!!
I have learned so much from your tutorial. After two months, my nails have become long, strong and beautiful. I never thought my nails would grow like this. Thank you so much!
Aww Thank you!! I'm so glad you liked it!
Holy crap!! Star struck! I've been watching your videos forever, love them and you! Much love & huge hugs dahling ;)
Thank you for such a detailed, informative video. I picked up so much valuable information, and I know I will rewatch this many times.

About every 3-4 days, I really enjoy changing up the color plus I like to give my nails a break as often as possible. :)
Oh polka dots are my fave too! Yeah we plan to keep Maui as our home for a long time. Of course we like to travel too but we enjoy coming home to the warmth of Hawaii.
Thanks so much for the suggestions! I just quit biting my nails after 30 years about 6 months ago and I need all the nail help I can get!
I've just gotten into caring for my nails and I was on youtube browsing for a video to show me step by step how to do just that and I'm thankful for you and your video. Your video was very helpful and thorough and I will be purchasing the products you have listed. Thanks =)

that brushing thing for nails really helped my nails thank you so much
This is one of the best nail care videos I've seen so far
Wow girl you are a nail pro!!! I really loved the trick with baking soda, didn't know about this one before. I've been using Zoya since I found out about it from you and I love it.

I use Burts Bees cuticle cream also and I also use a cuticle softener made of almond and avocado oil. Shea butter is also great.

I've only had gels, once. Didn't like it a bit, plus they damaged my natural nails. I'm much happier with just keeping my natural nails healthy.
I believe they make it in multiple sizes which are all packaged differently. I have the 2.3 oz which comes in this globe shape bottle. Definitely checkout the CND website to see what they offer.
Wow that's awesome! Please share where you found it, and was it the small or large size?

Your nails are beautiful. My nails are so thin they bend backward easily
Nutra Nails 5 - 7 day growth helps them grow and get strong also help brittle thin nails (:
Thank you I will look for it
I have a nail care routine on my channel that describes the nail care routine that has changed my nails for the better!
You can use diamond strength nail polish
It worked for me
Hope it works for you if you get it
Mine too

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video. It was very informative & helpful. Love all of your videos!
Great video!! My nails are a mess! I can't wait to try some of the products you mentioned . Your nails are so long and beautiful.
My God! I can't believe how beautiful your nails are here!
Thank you for the tips💖! I post nail videos and I think that I want to post a video like this when I reach my nail growth goal ✨🎀💕🤩
thanks for the tips, i was planing to buy argan oil, so i'm buying it immediately. i think it's also good for skin and hair...you should absolutely try lush lemony flutter cuticle cream. it texture is creamy so applies very easily, smells perfect, and i think the best cuticle moisturizer ever. you can also use it for your elbows, and foot etc, because it moisturizes dry skin perfectly! i apply it every night before going to bed, and wake up with the perfect soft and healthy cuticles
You have the most beautiful natural nails i have ever seen !! have you ever broken any before?
I am a writer (female) and always kept my nails short until recently. I love your videos, very thoughtful and informative. Intelligently done. Thank you for taking the time to share with us what works for you. My routine is working for me, despite the fact that I am pounding a keyboard all day long. But I am always seeking, and I will definitely check out some of your suggestions. ;)
Thanks Tati! Yeah give the baking soda scrub a try, it instantly brightens and helps keep your nails looking fresh!
It works.
Christine, I just added this video to my favorites, you really did a great job showing and explaining nail care, thank you!!!
Judy
Aww Thanks Cathy!! xoxo
I did try OPI Nail Envy for a few months, it was okay but the Nailtiques Formula 2 yielded better results.
p.s. I also bought the Burts Bees lemon cuticle balm. It also smells wonderful! Thanks for the heads up on these products.
Awesome! Yeah I haven't tried Qtica yet, I'll try that one next! Thanks for the tip!
I use Avon for all of my nail treatments... I don't like the nail polishes that much but the treatments are the best ones I've come across
I would love to know too!
They stopped doing it and replaced with another which they stopped doing last year 2019
The people who say nail care isn't working for you, it must be because you weren't patient. It works for me and I have been doing it for a few months. But we are all different. We all have different nails, oils, hair, so it must be because we're different and things take a longer or shorter time to grow. I'm just saying. :)
Sorry, I'll have it listed soon lol. Thought I saved it in my email storage but couldn't find it anywhere, I ask them to resend it.

Can you do an updated version of your routine, hand lotion, body lotion, or oils
Hi Christine. I have a question about the nutria nail naturals serum. I bought 2 of them on eBay because they are discontinued and when I received them I noticed it doesn't feel like a serum, it feels like almost watery. Is that the way it supposed to be or did I get fake ones.
Yes that was the consistency, about 4yrs ago they stopped doing it.
