The sad part is that once he’s down, the agency that has custody of him is responsible for his safety. If he gets jumped, he’s gonna get a BIG paycheck from the taxpayers. Derek Chauvin, we all know what just happened to him. People wanna think that karma caught up to him; NO, he’s got money on his books and money for his family for the rest of their lives. If he gets jumped again, it’ll be even MORE money since he’s been established as a target and if the custodian doesn’t keep him safe, that’s recidivist, or deliberate indifference/ aka big payday. It would not surprise me for him to put out a hit on himself. He’s got a lot of fines and restitution to come up with. One carefully crafted “shanking” can take care of all of it.

So the Sheriff likes cars huh. Nice cars non the less. Problem is he likes to take them from other people and sell them for his own gain. He also likes to use the peoples money to pay for his own security needs. I guess when your doing nefarious things, you need to make sure nobody will snoop around any properties your affilated with. Why would you complicate the case by making it a RICO? If they have the Sheriff caught red handed that is all you need to prove the charges.
