I have an Adex Adjustable Club from the suggestion of Mark Wildman. I love to find a secluded place to train around Central Illinois. Having a Kettlebell and a Club in the trunk of my car at all times has become a game changer. I spend a lot of time under tension. I am working my way up to the Arc and Mace handle over time. I must master the single-arm club first

As someone that has trained with both, some of the one arm movement feel much heavier with a club than the same weight with a mace. Maybe it is because with the longer leaver I can get more momentum with the Mace so it feels lighter. Just and FYI

Adjustable competition kettlebell would be a nice addition for the car

In my recent search of the "ideal" mace I came across the Adex adjustable mace, but unfortunately it is not available in Europe.

These adjustable maces have come a long way. I look forward to getting one. For me, I started several years ago with sledgehammers. I got the smallest and worked my way up. I now have 6,8,10,12,16 and 20lb sledgehammers. I use old school ankle weights to bridge the weight gaps by wrapping the weight around the mallet it’s self. I know the handles are not”long enough” but I’m still getting results as well as they are short enough to choke up on and do some club movements. I have been in construction my whole life, never would I have imagined that working out with a sledgehammer would vastly improve my range of motion, flexibility and posture in my mid forties.

First of all let me thank you for your videos, they are very motivating for me. As a 60+ beginner to this sport I was indeed looking for something adjustable because I am currently not so strong. Looking at the commercial offers especially in Europe I was quite shocked about the price point of these devices so I just built my own by using my existing dumbbell discs (1 and 2 kg each) and buying a steel tube and suitable clamps at the nearby Hardware Store. Bottom Plate is fixed by a 12 mm Screw and top fixing is a also a steel plate that can be easily adjusted using an allen key.
I just had to thicken the grip area with some grip tape because for my hands I prefer ~ 3.5 cm diameter.
I understand your point that the handle is on the heavier side so I bought a used 7 pound standard Mace on Amazon for the more playful moves. After a few months of practice and muscle-up I will probably reward myself by buying a variety of regular maces. I am so thankful to have found a way of muscle and ability training that is fun because I hate regular training with dumbbells, too boring. I also just build my first "Gada" using a wooden stick and concrete, seems I underestimated the weight :-) I will have to train a bit to be able to move the resulting 14kg "monster".
Thanks again for your inspiring work.

Great comparison. At one point I had all mace weights from 4kg to 25kg (4,5,6,8,10,12,15,20,25) which took up way too much space in my house, so I sold off the in-between weights and just kept 5, 8, 20, 25. I've been thinking about ordering a loadable mace, either from MaceTrainer in the EU, or from Nathan (CK Maceworks) in the US, my only concern is that the handle on it's own is about 7lb which is probably 2-3x the weight of the handle in a fixed weight mace. However, having seen enough people swinging the adjustables and liking them, i'm going to order one. Cheers Beats!

The heavier handle might be beneficial for heavier flows since the weight distribution is the same as a 4kg with around 7kg. Go for it Chris!

I have brought the Mace course on Strong and Fit and I can say it is top notch information! It is a great course, even though I have been studying the Mace and clubs for a while now I learned allot from his course. If you are into Mace training you should get this course! I have never used the Omnibell adjustable mace, but I do own the Adex Mace, it is awesome, empty it is 6 pounds (which is light enough that anyone could do these movements), loaded to the max with an attachment the Mace ends up at a whopping 50 pounds, which is crazy heavy for a Mace.

That is amazing Justin, glad to hear you enjoy the course! Would you be able to leave a review on the website? That’d be really helpful. I have never tried the adex adjustable mace but I have heard good things about it.

@The Flowing Dutchman Hello from Dallas, Texas! Sure I would be glad too. I will let you know when I have completed that! The Adex Mace and Clubs is a life saver for me, I have so much weightlifting stuff already if I had as many clubs as Paul Wolkowinski the wife would go what the heck! LOL The Adex club for example is 3.5 pounds with the empty handle, with the attachment I have I can max it out at 45 pounds (20.41 Kg), right now 35 is what I have been able to use two handed. If is funny when I hand someone a 20 pound club, I go "How much do you think that weighs?" I will get a response 40 to 50 pounds reply, when I tell them it is load at 20 pounds they cannot believe it, had one person weigh it on me because they taught I was joking them. As many clubs and maces you have access too, most likely you wouldn't need you an Adex but it good to travel with, take one club and mace loaded up and hit the road. It is like having a mobile gym in the trunk.

Just wanted to give you a heads up, I added a review as you requested, wanted to let you know one issue I saw. When you are on strong and fit you can find your program under all videos, but when you click on Club and Mace it does not show under that section. Someone at Strong and Fit forgot to add it to that category. Just wanted to let you know so they can get that fixed for you.

I like the shape of the ballhead maces and I use a lighter for warming up, flow and then the heavier one, so one adjustable mace is not an option for me, but maybe I will by one later...

I first purchased a 10kg Mace and it was fine, I could do 360’s and others.
    However, I saw a eBay deal for 2.5, 4.5 slim handle and 4 , 6, 7.5 thick handle all for £90. Bargain.
Now I can see the wisdom of going very light mace for warm ups and to perfect your moves on much lighter maces. I plan to buy an adjustable for heavy training.
MY ADVICE: buy 2.5 and 4.5, and get use to it, then go for a 7.5 - 10 to vary to heavy training.
