Can you imagine being these kids, on this rollercoaster ride? Wow. The fact that Su and Moa are still there putting out bangers, with no controversy, no scandals etc is a testament to their professionalism.
This is such an overlooked aspect of their awesomeness. Very few, if anyone at all, can maintain that degree of level headed and grounded take on superstardom. Heck, I won a minor science fair thing when I was 15 and I still rock The Boss's Glory Days to that shit 😂😂😂
I agree. This is something that I think that is overlooked, and not only with Baby Metal. Look at groups like Band Maid, SCANDAL, Glim Spanky, Nemophila, Lovebites, Garnidelia, Wagakki Band, Unlucky Morpheus, Li-sa-X and other groups from Asia in general and Japan in particular. They mostly seem to be straight up, decent people at heart with how they comport themselves and you rarely hear any serious negative things about them. Part of it is probably the culture of that part of the world, but it still is in the people themselves.
This is surprisingly confusing, but easier if I type caps: IINE isn't LINE. See? When the title capitalizes the first letter, you get Iine, and English speakers just can't stop reading it as an all-lower-case version of "LINE". But you caught on when they were singing it!
I am Japanese. This is exactly what Japan is. Japan has everything. Then we take everything and create something new. I'm also happy that you enjoy babymetal.
But Japan is also corrupt politicians (controlled by the CIA), rapidly aging society, depopulation (sayonara Japan), karoshi culture, girls prostitution, conspicuous consumption of luxury goods, sinking economy, highest national debt in the world, etc. The educational system is designed to serve the needs of large companies, a system which produces passive slaves. Another big problem in Japan is that the vast majority of people seem to have an attitude akin to "Out of sight out of mind." Unless it directly affects them they don't seem to care.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 iine (the capital i always gets everyone confused) is the best example of what Babymetal was going to do to the metal music world..... combining every and any genre with metal, and come out with bangers.... So far I'm just hoping/waiting for a country/metal fusion.... 😁😁🤘🦊🤘
Babymetal never ceases to amaze even then. They never do the rap anymore. Probably due to copyright. It says Line because a capital i looks like a capital L. Yes it's in eh. Yui and Moa were born ten days apart.
2曲目のシングル曲でおそらく彼女たちでもっとも狂った曲です。 今年開催されたライブでも演奏していました! It is the second single song and probably their craziest song. They played it at a live concert held this year!
Nice! Haha, this is an epic musical piñata, and I get so much enjoyment from this song! Also, it is iine [ ee-neh, “so good!”]. Capital “i”, looks like line, messed up so often Babymetal just goes with it and now it’s on Spotify as “Line!”, adding to the confusion, lol. Also, during rap breakdown, she says, “put your kitsunes (foxes/fox signs) up!” 🤘🦊🤘🦊
This song was recorded and the video filmed while Babymetal was still a sub unit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin. Technically this is a Sakura Gakuin song, since it was released on the groups 2nd album 3 years before Babymetal became and independent act and released their first album.
There is a certain irony I enjoy about the post-rap part with the super agressive "demonic" voice, that it is saying a note of clarification; that the fox sign hand gesture is NOT anything evil or bad or satanic, but simply a symbol of a fox.
Heh, IIne. Their 2nd song ever. My favorite Rave/Metal/Anime/J-Pop/Rap/Powercore/Idol/Death Metal/Dance/Party song of all time. Qualifying songs: 1. Pussy....
Dude! I just HAD to let you know, I've watched your reaction from 3:55 to 6:30 at least 10 times! My absolute favorite reaction to any BM video I've ever seen!! The dropped jaw....bewilderment...back it up...maniacal laughter...followed by "stank face" headbanging!!! Priceless!!!!!!...and I crack up every time I see it!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!😂
You iine is right, you got the pronunciation right at the end. I am not japanese but did learn it lol. Means basically good , good idea, okay etc. It donesnt say line, it is iine, computers tend to make a capital I which looks like an L. Yes these 10 and 12 year old girls rock harder than most adults in the world. This is one of my favorites from them, really good for driving long distances at high speed. Yes the rap part was great, they are idols, trained to do any form of music really, rap shows up in a couple of songs like this one. Amazing those girls had such stage presence and audience control so young and if you have not seen the new stuff, they are still the same even at 23 and 25 years old, total stage presence.
Just mix all possible genres together and make a song out of it! Clear vocals, hard riffs and growling. It'll fit somehow. That's a thing that only Babymetal can do.
now yo have to see this song live. so wild. Babymetal in one song. EDM. Techno. Rap. Metal. Pop. etc. anybody else it won't work but only Babymetal can blend so many genres in one song and make it seem like it suppose to be.
At this point Su was 14 and Yui and Moa were 12 ish so yes still in Sakura Gakuin. You should check out some Sakura Gakuin stuff when you get a chance.
Man, I love watching reactors being shocked or having a brain fart at the transition to the HipHop/Rap part. Your reaction was like you had a shocked brain fart 😂😂😂 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
I think this is their debut song. Yui & Moa were still 12 if not 10 😅. I really love the old Babymetal. Good reaction. Btw, i have a suggestion, check out "Yoshu Fukushu" by Maximum The Hormone 👍
This was their second song. Now you are ready to see the first one, recorded when they were 11 (Moa and Yui) and 12 (Su) th-cam.com/video/cirhQ8iLdbw/w-d-xo.html
Minute 3:56 and your face sums it all up xD I told you bro, this song is crazy, believe me, you need to see this performance live! It's absolutely insane! Great react again, Kitsune. See you! 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥
Excelente !! Good job !! BabyMetal is absolut chaotic cute style . Believe it or not this is not a live performance . is a oficial music video ; you can see in Ytbe , this video with comment by Sumetal,Yuimetal and Moametal.(subtitle ingles) about how and when and what do. Rap ? Raping ? Sure BabyMetal is master mix. Please check real live show BxMxC live Budokan 2021 or maybe another very early ,near iine era , Uki Uki Midnight live Legend Corset Festival 2012 . 3 atomic energy brave girls ,1 alone squeleton in the corner , a cardboard stage and a very dangerous very near crazy Crowd . The very down beginning . Bravoooo !!!
Cutest rap ever made for sure and that BRUTAL metal after it..??? Love it! Guess it's really time for the guide "everything you need to know..." - greets from Germany and enjoy! Oh btw at the end Su says "Kitsune uuuuup" which means fox sign up.
It’s funny how you went from BxMxC to this. Gives you some contrast for sure. Sometimes I like to see live performances of this song and Doki Doki Morning during their Sakura Gakuin days, then switch over to something like BxMxC live to see how much they have evolved as a stage act. What I love about this song is that they had the balls to do this back then and it was a well known song when they exploded in global popularity because it was all during the release of their first album. Imagine the limitless creative liberty they have now. Like many, I do recommend you react to their first music video, Doki Doki Morning. But I also recommend you do a video on Everything You Need to Know About Babymetal - A Babymetal Guide (updated). It will give you a pretty good summary of their story up until 2021 or so.
Haha, my favorite is watching the below 2 back to back: th-cam.com/video/lN-RlqEHFIk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=E4oIWelI4h1pe3F5 To BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997). The juxtaposition is unreal LOL.
I think this was an inspired move by whomever was involved. Koba-metal probably had a lot of input in how the song and video were styled. The arrangement itself was masterful when you take into consideration the number of genres involved. As far as just pure fun goes, my favorites are Doki Doki Morning, Iine !, Awadama Fever and Kimi To Anime Ma Gatai. You just can't help having fun with them. And the cuteness meter is off the charts. It's such a shame that Yui had to leave, they were a great team.
Thank you for doing more Babymetal, please keep going :) I also recommend Atarashii Gakko, they have amazing and hilarious personalities, and Otonablue on the First Take TH-cam channel is a great place to start!
Hahaha, good stuff! Your reaction was awesome! This song is crazy from start to finish and you got the title right at the end. It is pronounced ee-neh. That is a capital I in the song title. They grabbed every genre they could find and stuffed them all into one song. They make their own rules for songwriting and usually end up breaking those too, lol. I love this song and especially the official MV. They have kept the rap section in a few live shows but, generally they just did a call and response with the crowd instead. Keep up the good work! Kitsune Up!
Hahaha, great reaction, well done for not quite falling into the 'Line' trap.😁 It is a capital i, not a lower case L, so iine (and you got it - pronounced ee-neh). Your face when they dropped into hip hop was worth the price of admission alone ... you already heard Su-metal rap when you reacted to 'BxMxC' (official video is good but vocals are over processed etc, live they absolutely slay it). 'Iine' means 'so good' like a thumbs up emoji👍 it was only the second song they released, so although the video was from 2012 the song was from 2011 I think (it was their third song but IDZ was released later) and they were clearly establishing very early on that all the usual rules of what you can do, what genres you can mix into one song and so on were not going to apply to BABYMETAL. So EDM, a bit of hip hop/rap and then that drop into death metal - quite possibly the best drop into death metal from hip hop ever - and then back to the EDM to finish. As the song title suggests - it is so good.👍 In most live versions they dropped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there. They did warn you - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!" In this instance the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns🤘or maloik, it is the kitsune (fox🦊). They have been performing this live again in recent concerts - definitely worth finding, but for a very early live performance (and they keep the rap part in) I really hope you will react to this - do a quick search for 'BABYMETAL - Iine! - Sakura Gakuin Graduation Departures 2011' - that one is from March 2012 ... "BABYMETAL in da house!"
First: congrats, you got the name of the song right. 99.99% of the people fall into the "Line" trap (including several streaming services). Second: 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, this is crazy, 100% mental. 😁 "iine" means "so good" and it's related to the thumbs up 👍 emoji (which is another Japanese word, btw). This is all about having fun and it's a little silly and even childish... but it didn't prevent them to perform it live again this year (after not performing it since 2017) at BABYMETAL Begins Clear Night and several other concerts in SE Asia and Australia. EveryONE is going to ask you for this: "BxMxC" (live, please!). 😊 And... again... 🤣🤣🤣 Until next time! 🤘🦊
great reaction dude, lol, not quite what you think you heard, she was actually saying "Put Your Kitsune Up" , so yeah this is an easter egg so to speak, they were making it clear that they were not being stuck in a corner or in a box and that they would be capable of anything, and they kept that promise and no two songs are alike and no genre is off limits except maybe Country and I wouldn't put it passed them to come up with some kind of "Country-Metal" sometime in the future. That metal breakdown is so heavy and that growling voice is the Fox-god saying that their hand sign is a fox sign and not the usual Maloik sign that every other metal band uses... I highly recommend "From Dusk Till Dawn" Live at Budokan 2021 for a whole other worldly experience, and I mean ethereal dreamscape-metal with world class vocals and an epic breakdown.
i don't know about you but i find it almost imposable to describe this band when i am trying to turn some one on to them my little sister is a Dead Head pretty much all she listens to is the Dead or Fish or that kind of jam band stuff and i am always trying to expand her music listening ( with no success ) as i was attempting to explain BABYMETAL to her she looked like she wanted to have me committed ( again ) lol
I tell you, there is nothing better than BABYMETAL. They are so fun, cute, badass, talented and unique. 🤘🦊🤘 And yes they Rap or more so, Su does. Check out BMC. Live hits harder but the official video is fun visually.
and babymetal just sang this song again this year after not singing it for more than 4 years. If I'm not mistaken, since Yui came out in 2017 or 2018. I forgot. if you see the live version it will be much different
This song was brought back into the setlist earlier this year. Before that, they hadn't performed it since they toured the Southern USA with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in April of 2017.
Very cool!!! This song is still in the show's repertoire to this day!!! Certainly, if you have the time/curiosity, it's worth checking out the live version. When babymetal started, the Japanese music industry was focused on pop and rap. There was no space for metal, despite the legendary X-Japan... In fact, many choreographies at the beginning of Babymetal seem to use the “X” in some way, as if they were referencing this band. Many fans from that time seem to use the "X" as if they identified themselves... babymetal also ends with "We are... Babymetal", X-Japan did this too... This is just speculation... But the song's message seems clear: "if you like techno, you might like metal"... "if you like pop, you might like metal". "... "if you like rap, maybe you like metal"... Enjoy babymetal!!! 🤟🦊🤟
It doesn't say Line , it say Iine. A capital i (I). Mad song this one. Try their very first video, Doki Doki Morning, the official MV. They do rap a fair bit. Check out Black Babymetal to see that, or BMC where Su does some rapping.
_Kitsune da O!_ 🦊🤘🔥 Nice! Great job with the pronunciation, it's been a while since someone say it right. lol Iine! is one of the early songs, 2nd single released, making us clear they don't wanna be pigeonholed. It's a super fun party night song with their besties and you got everything you need on this song, from de "Para Para" style, eurobeat and MoiMoi chemistry (Moimoi is Yui and Moa together doing their thing), to a hip hop with 90's look and heavy metal with death growls breakdown, is a beautiful crazy dream and is "Iine" = 👍 Song was part of a single and first collaboration with the band Kiba Of Akiba, they made a cover of one song called "Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai" and Kiba Of Akiba did Doki Doki Morning, an interesting upbeat tempo version. Except for certain songs like Headbanger!! and IDZ SuMetal doesn't shout those parts you heard during live performance, is always a backing track, same for the growling except for Distortion after 2019, that got collaboration growling of Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy band, also none of the Kami Band do growling or any voices on any song. But the live version certainly is a blast and you'll see some difference on dance choreography, again live at Budokan 2014 is a nice choice. If you want some details on the backstage of this song, as well 4 more of their early MV, there's a commentary vid made by the girls. There's another version called Iine! Vega Mix version with different guitar arrangements and change on the lyrics during hip hop part, it was released for the Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo Friends album. This year they brought back this crazy hit during the Asian and Australian Tour after almost 6 years without playing when YuiMetal left the group, but they didn't play this at the Europe Tour yet, we'll see in future shows but I'm doubt. OTFGK. That ludicrous hip hop breakdown always get everyone lol. If you're looking for more songs with rap style well pretty much SuMetal did that since the very first song Doki Doki Morning and Black Babymetal with their own four songs, especially Onedari Daisakusen and GJ! but you can clearly see SuMetal rapping with the song "BxMxC", there's an official MV but i highly suggest you the live version at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 or Budokan 2021, it's another song part of the setlist in this current Europe & UK Tour. Also "PA PA YA!!" got a rap section but that's a collab song with F.Hero, a Thai rapper, another recommended song oc. See you next time and like SuMetal said in the rap section "Put your kitsune up!" (Not what you think lul)🦊🤘🔥
A typical mistake that I blame on the type font: both the lower case "L" and upper case "i" look exactly the same. You almost had the pronunciation right: "E-nay", not "E-nah", but not a bad try! OMG!!! I damn near died laughing at the look on your face when they shifted to rap - mouth hanging open with the "WTF?!" stare!!! ROTFLMAO!!! BABYMETAL is good for coming up with the "What the f*ck did I just listen to" reaction, but this is far and away their best song for pegging the ol' WTF-meter! They managed to crush about four genres of music into one song and made it work! Regarding rap: this was only a bit that they've done. For a full on rap song, the official music video of "BxMxC" is the way to go. Some say that a couple of the Black BABYMETAL songs are rap but I can't completely agree with that. But I would say, as a rule, no, BABYMETAL doesn't delve into rap very much. Now go one more step back and check out the official music video for "Doki Doki Morning". You'll have fun with that one, too! Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Just in case you were wondering, the death metal growls you hear aren't actually being done by them, that's an outside contributor. Momo, who only became an official member of BABYMETAL this year, is the first of the ladies that actually does death growls. At the end of the rap part, she says, "Put your kitsune up!" The kitsune is the name for a fox in Japanese, and is also the name they have given their hand symbol variant of the horns.
Iine! means "so good!" as in a thumbs up emoji 👍 This song was their early manifesto letting the world know that BABYMETAL will NOT be pigeon-holed into any one single genre of metal or music. Legend has it that Koba asked the girls how many genres they wanted to try in one song and they simply answered "Yes please!" 😂 At the end of the rap section Su screams "Put your Kitsunes up!" and MoiMoi says "Kitsune Da O!" which means "It's the sign of the Fox!" Kitsune Da O! 🤘🦊🤘
In English, gees mixed up with capitalization of first word in Sentence. i i ne, not l i n e. But in English I ( capital i) iine, looks like "line" to most people.
They do have another rap-ish song that I think you've already reacted to - B.M.C. You reacted to the official video as I recall, but you could check out the badass live version for that. I think there's a good compilation video out there to help avoid copyright issues. At this point I want to put my hat in the ring for what I consider their masterpiece song - From Dusk Till Dawn. Check out the recent Budokan live version of that - I think there's even a subtitled version for it (even though the lyrics are sung entirely in English), though the subtitles are a bit off in some places.
I mean, who doesn't like a bit of EDM, Hip Hop along with their metal core
It's the little ''Yo! Yo! Yo!'''s that kill me!!!!
Your face was priceless during the rap part 🤣
キツネだお👍🦊👍
3:31 "a mixture" ohh, yes, but there is more, MUCH more LOL 🙂

" BABYMETAL - THE JOURNEY ! " 🤣🤣🤣
At the end of the hip-hop segment, Su is saying "put your kitsunes up" followed by Moa/Yui saying "kitsunes are up".
The metal part just after the rap was... so brutal ! awesome !
This is surprisingly confusing, but easier if I type caps: IINE isn't LINE. See? When the title capitalizes the first letter, you get Iine, and English speakers just can't stop reading it as an all-lower-case version of "LINE". But you caught on when they were singing it!

This song always make me smile. Seeing the girls do it now makes me happy as I remember them doing it when they were so young. Love them.😊
I think this was an inspired move by whomever was involved.
Just like with "Lego", you throw all the loose bricks on the carpet and try to build something...Babymetal succeeded!💥🦊💥
every babymetal song is an experience
nice reaction! you should definitly check out BxMxC live by them. Su can spit the bars for real.
Thank you for doing more Babymetal, please keep going :)
I also recommend Atarashii Gakko, they have amazing and hilarious personalities, and Otonablue on the First Take TH-cam channel is a great place to start!
They were so experimental! What works? Who knows.. let’s try it!
BABYMETAL rules! ❤
As the song title suggests - it is so good.👍
In most live versions they dropped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there.
They did warn you - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!"
In this instance the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns🤘or maloik, it is the kitsune (fox🦊).
Second: 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, this is crazy, 100% mental.
And... again... 🤣🤣🤣
Until next time!
🤘🦊
great reaction dude, lol, not quite what you think you heard, she was actually saying "Put Your Kitsune Up" , so yeah this is an easter egg so to speak, they were making it clear that they were not being stuck in a corner or in a box and that they would be capable of anything, and they kept that promise and no two songs are alike and no genre is off limits except maybe Country and I wouldn't put it passed them to come up with some kind of "Country-Metal" sometime in the future.
Great reaction. Your surprised expression is the best!😂❤
Alright, it just occurred to me: we have to start petitioning Babymetal to give this another go with Momo doing the breakdown part.
i don't know about you but i find it almost imposable to describe this band when i am trying to turn some one on to them my little sister is a Dead Head pretty much all she listens to is the Dead or Fish or that kind of jam band stuff and i am always trying to expand her music listening ( with no success ) as i was attempting to explain BABYMETAL to her she looked like she wanted to have me committed ( again ) lol
Nice reaction :) I love this song. Great to see how much fun they're having. 'Do they rap?' I think you forgot about BxMxC :)
Babymetal",
X-Japan did this too...
_Kitsune da O!_ 🦊🤘🔥
Nice! Great job with the pronunciation, it's been a while since someone say it right. lol
Iine! is one of the early songs, 2nd single released, making us clear they don't wanna be pigeonholed. It's a super fun party night song with their besties and you got everything you need on this song, from de "Para Para" style, eurobeat and MoiMoi chemistry (Moimoi is Yui and Moa together doing their thing), to a hip hop with 90's look and heavy metal with death growls breakdown, is a beautiful crazy dream and is "Iine" = 👍
Song was part of a single and first collaboration with the band Kiba Of Akiba, they made a cover of one song called "Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai" and Kiba Of Akiba did Doki Doki Morning, an interesting upbeat tempo version.
Are you ready to mosh?🦊
@@yunametal344 Yuna you rock!🦊🤘🔥
the craziest song ever
"do they rap....? " I know what your next song to react will be.........
If you want to listen to some rap, I recommend their song "BxMxC" but please go with a live version, it's much better :)

🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Sentimetal Night
Yui da o 🍅
It doesn't say Line, it's a capital " i "
Iine! means "so good!" as in a thumbs up emoji 👍
This song was their early manifesto letting the world know that BABYMETAL will NOT be pigeon-holed into any one single genre of metal or music.
Legend has it that Koba asked the girls how many genres they wanted to try in one song and they simply answered "Yes please!" 😂
At the end of the rap section Su screams "Put your Kitsunes up!" and MoiMoi says "Kitsune Da O!" which means "It's the sign of the Fox!"
Kitsune Da O! 🤘🦊🤘
Have you seen the video BxMxC? Su raps the whole song
In English, gees mixed up with capitalization of first word in Sentence. i i ne, not l i n e. But in English I ( capital i) iine, looks like "line" to most people.
Wanna see Su rap - BxMxC
They do have another rap-ish song that I think you've already reacted to - B.M.C. You reacted to the official video as I recall, but you could check out the badass live version for that. I think there's a good compilation video out there to help avoid copyright issues.
At this point I want to put my hat in the ring for what I consider their masterpiece song - From Dusk Till Dawn. Check out the recent Budokan live version of that - I think there's even a subtitled version for it (even though the lyrics are sung entirely in English), though the subtitles are a bit off in some places.
So i guess you now have to do BxMxC to see how SU can really rap.
Are you ready to Mosh? :D
Please react babymetal-da da dance
Song titles are usually capitalized so if it was Line the L would be capitalized so it's Iine with a capital I Everyone gets it wrong
🤘🇺🇦🤘
😆😆😆🤟🤟🤟🦊
👍 👍
Nope not LIVE.
This song is great LIVE but I'm not really a fan of this MV.
La gente debería arriesgarse a escuchar algo nuevo
Lol Capital i looks like an l.
