  • It’s another birthday in a Ferrari with Mr. Jeremy Renner. Theoretical studies include: chutzpah, surrender, divine intervention, and the perfect parking spot. Grab your underwear from the sauna… it’s an all-new SmartLess.

Hands down the best conversation I’ve heard on Smartless so far. Thank you to Jeremy for his honesty and willingness to share his experience so openly.

I absolutely loved this conversation and the depth of what you were all sharing. I grew up Catholic but was exposed to all different types of religion and beliefs. I have formed my own opinions and beliefs over the years. I contend that organized religion is "man-made" but spirituality and faith is something engrained in human nature. I believe that there is a balance of good and evil in the world and it's all rooted in energy. Energy can neither be created or destroyed, only changed. Our emotions and feelings are all electrical energy. I believe that that energy we feel is connected to a greater collective. The overall "God" or "good" entity is pure love and the "Devil" or "bad" energy is the opposite of love which is fear. Interpretations of spirituality and faith can be made however you'd like, but I believe it all comes down to collective energy within the universe. Thank you Jeremy for being an outstanding, talented human being. Keep putting those "good vibes" out into the universe, brother. We need more of that in the world!!

Thank you, Will, Jason, and Sean for bringing Jeremy to the show. To hear his account of that day...and to see him in now, he is amazing. There was a plan...we needed more of Jeremy in our lives and here he is.

This has given me a much better outlook. I thought to surrender is to give up, to quit or fail. But it is the exact opposite. It is no longer feeding the crazy monster. Thank you the four of you have made it easy to follow my heart and let go.

Thank you so much for the wonderful episode with Jeremy Renner. I have read a lot about NEDs Near Death Experiences. Your consciousness does change...and Jeremy explained it perfectly and lovingly. I am so grateful to him for sharing. Thank you Sean, Jason and Will for having Jeremy on your show❤. Beautiful way to start the day😊💕

Sounds like he was given all of the most effective drugs when he was in hospital, no pain just hallucinations about the interconnectedness of the space-time continuum. I'm glad he got through it, sounds like a tough experience, a lot of people don't bounce back so well from injuries like that.

OMG - I remember the reality show Sean mentioned!! I loved that show! Renner was also on another TV show I loved called The Unusuals that ABC canceled too soon. Obviously things worked out for him, but if he never does another action movie, he'll still have a great career.

Jeremy’s will to live and to push himself. How he consciously uses mental strength to overcome obstacles.
Jason Bateman’s funny lines always in every movie I have watched. Jeremy should do the sequel to arrival and it should be called departure 😂.

I practically broke a finger tapping play for this one.
Only a few minutes in so far but one showbiz story to share: a colleague of mine in law had studied acting as a lad. He travelled for a while and came back to find a classmate was the front page photo everywhere. Hugh Jackman went from graduating to Erskineville Kings to X-Men to Swordfish to Kate and Leopold in the time it took my friend to backpack Europe getting laid.
    He still says he tied.
