Just wanted to say thank you. I was able to change my belt in 5 minutes because of this video. I did it from the top instead of underneath of course because I was in my back yard.
Great video! Much better than all the others on TH-cam. You took the time to make a clear video and verbally explained each step. Pretty much anyone can change these belts but it's alot easier if you know what tools you need and what to expect before doing it, especially for an old man with a painful back :)
10:34 you hear the dreaded timing chain rattle. Common with the Eco boost. I have had 2 replacements on mine and I am at 103k miles. I never miss an oil change, do all suggested maintenance yet still have a lot of issues. I am not happy with my 3.5. Love the rest of the truck. Be prepared for a large bill if your warranty is up.
Thanks to this video and another for the tensioner and I was able to swap out both the tensioner and serpentine belt in less time than an oil change. THANKS!
Your video says "How to Replace Serpentine Belts 09-14 Ford F150" and it shows the ac belt is different than the main belt! I have a 2009 F150 with the 4.6L and I can not find an AC belt anywhere at 1A Auto! Do you have a part #? Thanks
With the lift, it looks relatively easy. But I don't have a lift. While I've done lots of work thru the years, I'm older, weaker and less nimble now. The serpentine belt looks easy, but that AC belt looks like a big struggle if I'm laying on my back. Any idea what this jobs labor charge would be? And, if you don't mind saying, at what mileage is this a concern? Thanks, great video. Can I borrow your lift?!
+Woolval52 Woolval Thanks for watching! We do not have any data on the labor charge for replacing the A/C belt, but you will typically replace it once it starts to make noise or become an issue. You can check your owners manual to see if it has a service interval for that part!
I took my a/c belt off years ago when the a/c compressor froze up. Sure do miss the summer cold air but noway I'm paying to have it replaced. Windows down suck when it gets really hot but I deal with it.
+Tom Gray We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

Thank you so much!! Got mine done with practically 1 hand!!
Thank you for this, this video allowed me to make this repair a DIY
Who else was here hoping for a 5.0 🖐
Is there enough room behind the crank pulley for the ac belt and the installation tool or could the installation tool not work from the rear?
I see you replaced the tensioner pulley as well, was it bad?
Is the install different for the 5.0 motor?
It seems easier on the lift. How can you do straight on your back on the ground? I have zero room to even put two arms in.
+Victor Pierce You may need to raise the front of the vehicle and support it with jack stands to gain access. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
Thanks for the video!
You are great mechanic. ty for the info
I appreciate yall 🙏
Excellent video! Thanks!

You are a professional 👏
Is it my imagination or was the tensioner different in the second half of the clip? It looks old in the beginning and new at then end.
Might have had a seperate issue with the tensioner. I know i had an issue and needed it replaced.
Def new one
What did you use to put pressure on ac belt to get it to the back pulley?
It looks like he use a pry bar
Great video
Thanks! Great Content

Thanks so muchu guys are awesome
Very good!
Thank you greatly for this video. It is very helpful. (I too enjoy some Johnny Cash)
what if i don't have that tool to wedge the belt on ?
You can use zip ties at 12 o’clock and keep turning and use another zip tie 12 o’clock until you get it
How long doez it take to replace serpline belt in Ford f150 5.0L 2013?

Can you replace the water pump from that same location.. underneath
Yep, that engine is most definitely due for a new timing set.
Sounds like your next project is the timing chain - that's a pretty bad one if you ask me
Update ?
how about the 2014 f150 v8???
