This was tremendously helpful, thank you! I'll go by the method where you select which point of focus I'll use, since using the live view introduces a delay in the shot.
@@IbrahimLucas I’ve been testing these methods and dear Lord my pictures aren’t blurry anymore 😬 Im very happy. And I wish you did more videos about this camera ❤️
That is indeed another good option! However, ML requires some steps you have to take before you can get to shooting. And some people just want to keep it simple when it comes to the 550D. That's why I covered only the default settings in this video.
Hey what's up? Thanks for watching! The cameras are almost identical when it comes to specs. However since the 1200D is newer than the 550D I would say go for the 1200D.
While the specs are mostly similar, the 550D is better for several things as it was close to mid range when new while the 1200D was entry level(low model numbers like '5D'=pro, which increase through the range to high numbers at entry level). Considering the sensor, processing etc is practically identical, the only benefit there seems to be for the 1200D is it's a little lighter and newer(so could theoretically have less wear). The 550D LCD is much higher resolution, it has a microphone/headphone socket, and is slightly better in some shooting performance. The lens either comes with could change the balance though.
Thanks a lot! Straight to the point vid. I was struggling with auto focus in my 550d. The sherlock holmes way seems great! Subscribed! :)
Thank you for watching! I'm glad the video was helpful :)

This is perfect, thank you!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching 🤙🏽
A handy tool would be installing ML on the SD card, the focus peaking is so useful if you are using lenses that are mainly manual focus.

MLantern allows the 550D to gave focus peaking? i just bought a used 550d so if that's correct it's wonderful news
