I know Shazzam is now linked with Spotify but in this weird world I pay for Apple Music on Android system and Windows PC< the sound I like better. Cheers In Advance!!
I installed this unit into a Toyota Yaris Mk1 2000/2001 ref and I cannot get it to retain the settings. I tried crossing over the 12V switched (red) and the 12V permanent (yellow) but didn't help. And the permanent 12v is definitively coming in on the yellow so I can't for the life of me work out why it's not working, Does anyone have any ideas?
Things I found: Multimedia player cannot skip folders Bluetooth audio has poor quality of SBC codec is used. Ok with AAC. It doesn't show whether phone is connected anywhere except for "phone" menu. Sluggish navigation in the contact list, no rapid contacts Poor microphone reception, no way to set gain. With power off, Bluetooth is disabled too. If it's connected to turn on with ignition, it turns on everytime, even if it's powered off with power button. Button backlight is very bright and without dimming option. Weblink app asks for connection every single time and that cannot be turned off (if you want to use the USB only for charging, for example) I don't recommend this device. Or anything from Pioneer. When I wrote them about these issues (some potentially dangerous, but solution would be possible with a simple firmware update), they just replied that it's all in specifications - even though I'm not alone who complained about some of these issues.

It's weird that more modern device that costs twice as much cannot do this... Well, it sorta can, if you mute it and turn off the display, but that's not same
So, I had a chance to get second hand MVH-A210BT - previous gen of this unit - and none of the issues I found on the A240 are not present there! It's pretty sad that Pioneer's quality declined like that..

I fitted this to a Fiat Panda and its working great. I have just 1 problem. When I connect phone to mirror content I get a message in waze saying keyboard will not work whilst driving. Also if I click on other apps it says can't load app whilst driving. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
How did you connect it to earth? Did you splice the earth cable in the loom to the handbrake cable or simply attach it to a bit of metal within the car?
@@MichaelWilson-ym1dy in the kit for the radio on most pioneer ones at least there is a little device on the earth cable or the handbrake cable that allows you to splice the two cables together easily, it’s a box shaped thing on either of those cables. If you put the one that doesn’t have the device on it into the device and then clamp it shut, it’s splices the two cables together with a little blade on the inside of it. If you don’t have one of those then you can just earth it to something metal on the car behind the radio but it should have one if it’s a pioneer kit.
How do i turn on my steering controls? I have connected my connects2 into the steering wheel connector but my steering controls wont work. I was using a pioneer previously. Thanks
You have memory loss because the wiring is wrong. You need to flip 2 cables in my case it was blue and red. Your radio needs power when the car is turned off
The subwoofer output only has one black connector my subwoofer comes with black and red wires I just plugged them into rear output white and red and the sub works perfectly it’s an active sub with an amp did I connect it wrong? Should I have connected the black to black sub output but where would the red wire go im slightly confused
@@PJsprojects thanks a lot mate just ordered it, is there any reason why it still works whilst connected to the rear outputs it actually works perfectly but I would rather connect it like it should be connected thanks for the help legend
@@MissionKid the single output lets you adjust the sub from the sub settings on the headunit. Although the rear outputs will work fine you don’t have separate sub level control.

@@Pheno_farms long story short I got it in and installed but it was a tight squeeze to get in and I had to buy a smaller fitting kit as pioneers was to big, the metal box was to large to fit in the car. Unfortunately had to replace it anyways as it needed an update and Halfords refused to perform it even though pioneer said that the provider of the stereo where the only ones who could do it.
I don't know much about these. But if I get a set of cameras for 360° view, does this device need to support 360° view in order for the whole thing to work out ? Great video

If there is a reversing camera wire, you should be able to attach it to another wire that only turns on when engaged in reverse, so like the reversing light. I don't have one yet so I don't know what exactly it comes with or anything but you should be able to do that

@@notcurly2027 i have a polo mk5 too, issue im having is there is power to the pioneer even after the car is turned off and key is taken out, i have matched all the wires up from the pioneer to the car wires, is there something i'm missing? when i turn the car fully off, the stereo stays on but when i turn the engine on, the stereo restarts..im confused to whats going on.
@@ruffiyan I fit mine and it was working perfectly. I ended up returning it since it wasn’t worth it tbh considering how much it costs and no new features. I bought a NONAME RCD330 instead which has been working perfectly past 2 years. Has both Android auto and Apple CarPlay and looks OEM. Sorry I couldn’t be of any help.
Can anyone recommend the correct cage for this stereo to fit a corsa D 2011 model? In the video he mentions using a different cage for Vauxhall but doesn't what cage unless I missed it. Thanks in advance
You need a 100mm high double din cage instead of the 115mm high one that comes with it. These are available from Halfords,EBay, Amazon or direct from the Connects2 web site.

Can’t see a fascia made for a double din radio so if your UK based ring your local Halfords or other car audio retailer and give them your reg so they can check the exact fitment👍🏻

Take it back, could be faulty. All pioneer units have a one year warranty
So how do you fit the yellow wire to the handbrake, mine has a tiny plastic clamp on it 🤷♂️

Connect the green parking brake cable to earth to get around what is classed as a safety feature.

You need a two in to one rca adapter cable, these are very cheap and easy to find.
So one make to two female.

1. No main power (yellow cable)
2, no Switched power (red cable)
3. No earth (black cable)

So let's say you want the camera to activate when you put the car in reverse, do you still have to tick the "rear camera monitor" box every time?

Normal rca input on the radio for the video signal so any should work OK as long as the plugs correct.
