- In today's tutorial, I'll be demonstrating how to create your own padded laptop sleeve, inspired by Baggu. Although I'll be using a 13-inch laptop as a reference, you can easily adapt the instructions to fit your specific laptop size.
Materials needed (measurements in video)
- Cotton Fabric - I used a Liberty Fabric
- 4 oz wadding
- Thread
- Scissors
- Velcro
- Sewing machine
- Pins or quilting clips
I have also provided a written tutorial to help alongside this video: drive.google.c...

I don’t believe that this project took 2 yards of fabric 🙄 but nonetheless I love this pattern and look forward to trying it out! Thank you!🙏 ❤
Perfect!
How much fabric did you use? 1 meter?
I wonder if its possible to do it by hands its really cute ❤
Thank you! Yes definitely doable would just take a lot longer and a bit more fiddly
Ok my brain is broken trying to figure out WHY the different seam allowance between the case and the closure flap?! Is it just so that it's slightly tapered? Thanks for putting this together!
Hola hermosa
I think I figured out the answer! Tried to make one without the difference and when I folded the flap over, the flap was wider than the rest of the sleeve because of the very last time it gets sewn and then flipped right side out. Now I'm going to try again and hopefully do better 😂
So after you sewed on both sides to close it, did you flip it inside out one more time so that you have no raw edges as the finishing?
yep! turn it the right side round :)
Hello, do you have the link for the wadding? :)
I’m afraid to try it it’s my first time trying such a thing. Do you have anywhere we can contact you to make sure to have our questions answered, I tried to find u on it but no results!
You should have just sewn wadding(batting)onto fabric instead of stuffing it inside
Then you'd have to deal with the raw edges.
why? its much nicer this way
@@paIeville true, but sewing the wadding onto the fabric directly makes sure the sides of the laptop (which are extra vulnerable) also have wadding. Currently there is no protection other than the fabric itself
How come for some parts you sew by hand instead of using your machine I wanted to know if I could use the machine for the entire project or was it necessary to use your hands because I am very lazy
Haha I just hand stitched an invisible stitch to close the small hole - took about 2 mins other than that it was all on the machine
Thank you so much!! This video helps so much!!! :)) love your channel xoxo
I also have a 13 inch laptop, can I ask what exact measurements did you do? x
I’m so glad!! Thankyou ❤ I have the measurements in the pdf in the description- it follows the measurements of a 13inch laptop xx
@@itsmayaslife Thank you!! This is so helpful ❤
any one like to help me please and thank you
id like to do this with two patters for simple sake lets say blue & red
but id like the right side of red ending up inside :) and right side of blue ending up outside
After working out initial measuring steps, half that so that you're marking and cutting out 2 half pieces (one red and one blue) rather than one large piece. First sew the red and blue piece together at the bottom width before carrying on with the rest of the steps. I think that could work out the way you want but I am a beginner level sewer so pls forgive me if I'm wrong.
So after you showed on both sides to close it, did you flip it inside out one more time so that you have no raw edges as the finishing?
Yeh that's right :)
what kind of sewing machine do you have?
Singer heavy duty sewing machine
