- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Am I the only one who gets irrationally angry when videos of other people unclogging drains, culverts, etc. show up on my feed? I just want to say “Listen here, post 10 is who taught us everything we know about this. He got us through the pandemic. He took us through the saga of the lake drain. He’s taught us more about beavers than National Geographic. So, don’t you go acting like you’re all that and a bag of chips. My clogged drain loyalty is very clear!” Post 10: Often Imitated, Never Duplicated!
I honestly thought I was the only one 🤣 I mean I literally go back and rewatch old videos just for the fun of it 😁 I saw someone use part of one of his old videos and actually credited. I was all set to go keyboard white knight on that person lol😊
I only get mad at the guy who keeps talking instead of taking care of it. Whole it feels life the guy is getting paid and just sitting around

I can't stand other people imitating Post 10. I do sometimes watch this Australian who does industrial/ residential drain clearing but he isn't clearing culverts or taking down beaver dams. I could never. Lol

Pretty awesome truck you came across in the woods. That's a 1945-47 Ford heavy duty truck. They were introduced in 1942, but very few were built do to Ford entering war production for WW2. Civilian production resumed in 1945 through 1947, when the now legendary Ford F series trucks were introduced in 1948. That truck had the optional 239 cubic inch "flathead" V8 engine, rated at 100 HP. I imagine it lived a life similar to the trucks that were roaring down the road as you were cleaning out that culvert. A rare and super cool thing to happen across a 75 year old truck in the woods.

My father was a surf fisherman, and he wore what he called armpit-waders. The secret to not drowning was the heavy belt OUTSIDE the waders. If the waves knocked him down - which did happen now and then - the water could not get past his waist into the lower sections. Just figured I would mention it.
And I must say, one hell of a job! Well done!

I've seen you tackle some big clogs before in culverts and ditches and on drains, but that has to be the most stubborn, tenacious and downright persnickety clog you've ever tackled! 🤘

1:47 It's a 1945-1947 Ford one-and-one-half ton flat bed/stake bed truck with a flathead V8 and a 16 foot bed (what's left of it). I restore old stuff like that (although not quite that far gone usually). Anyway, you get to know them after you've done a couple. Currently working on a 1932 Ford Model B stake bed delivery truck, a forerunner to the '45's-'47's.
So much water! I am exhausted just *watching* you unclog the swamp.
Funny thing, all of that white noise from the water rushing by almost made me fall asleep while working 😆

When did he start doing this? I used to watch this guy pretty regularly but walked away when he started complaining all the time. I don't have a problem with his complaints. I just wasn't watching his videos for that. Now his videos are mostly talking and driving.

This is exactly what I need. Called in sick to work due to a migraine, laying in a dark room. Can’t watch or read the news because this world is crazy right now, and defeating. Everything is politicized. Except Post. It’s just water dynamics, and beavers. Mind numbingly awesome ASMR distraction with a super likable guy. You make such an impact on people that you probably don’t realize. I’m grateful for watching you these last several years.
That was pretty impressive, that was a massive dam and working for so long with all the water pressure and having boots full of of water must have been exhausting. Well done for this one post, you really had to work hard for it.

AMAZING job friend! I was getting worried for your safety when that tangled mass of branches was tangling up behind you instead of flowing out the culvert! My eyes were glued on camera 2 for their passing! You must have been completely exhausted! Only good thing: tall enough pipe you could stand up for a change! Nice to see another great vid from you in the Maine north woods. 😊 I'll mention again how bad the deer flies seem to be this year over previous years in the Northeast. I'll take mosquitoes or black flies any day over them. Those deer flies will draft in behind you with upwards of 20+ of them and follow you for miles while I'm mountain biking and if you stop or slow down too much they're on you! Motivation to keep your pace up. Lots of frogs out here, the snapping turtle laying it's eggs was a great find, rare.

Hey post I had an idea. Maybe you can find a way to put a magnet on your rake so you can just place it on the metal when you’re moving things by hand . That way it won’t get washed away . Great vid !!! I’m currently at home cuz of a broken ankle and your vids keep me from going crazy .

Probably already said it in the comments but at about 22:00 or a bit earlier you see the pipe flex when what I assume is a logging truck going over. At least that's what I think happened. Surprised how much it flexed. Good job unclogging. 21.45 to be exact.

TRUE STORY: Ive talked to guys who drive log trucks, and many of them had never seen Final Destination 2. When i told them what happened in the movie, most started cracking up because they'd all noticed occasional enormous lines of cars WAY behind them in the slow lane for literally hundreds of miles at a time.
One guy who had seen it told me he got a warning for impeding the flow of traffic once. He'd purposely slowed down to 50 in a 70 and still nobody was passing him. Said he could hear horns but wasnt sure if he was getting flipped off cuz they were too far back to tell 😂😂😂

When turtles lay their eggs, they go into a kind of trance (just like crocodiles and alligators), so it’s not that she wasn’t afraid of you, it’s very likely she didn’t even realize you were there. I have a pond on my property, and turtles lay their eggs in my yard all the time. When they do, I block off an 8x8 area until they hatch, so the vibration of the lawn mower doesn’t destroy the nest.
Edit: the reason the second one ran away when you approached is because you got there before she started actually laying her eggs, or right after she finished.
