- The following video is a collection of all of the raid bosses in the new raid, Last Wish. My team was the 3rd in the world to complete it. Timestamps are below. Spoilers, obviously. Also, yeah, the sound probably gonna be a little bit delayed on the game sound, I forgot to switch a setting during my stream, whoops. Shouldn't be too bad.

knight artorias Yeah without the Prime Emgram exploit people were just below if not severely below the 550 Recommended threshold for the Raid.
So with the exploit you were able to be just enough for the first encounter and without it, you were a punching bag to these guys. Taken enemies hurt man 😂

Draggot I didn’t watch the whole stream, but if there was a bug that caused them to take at least 2 more minutes on that encounter then they probably deserve it.

I'll be honest. I watched Slayerage's because I watched his first Leviathan run, which ended up being world's first completion. So I thought lightning would strike twice. After about four hours at the vault and they looked like they weren't making any progress, I started channel hopping. I went to your channel an hour before I went to bed. Just as a reference, your team was at Riven.
It was just before 8 when I woke up this morning, so Redeem hadn't beaten the raid yet. And I saw that your team was STILL at Riven. You were literally the definition of insanity. That's when it clicked: Datto and his team have not gone to bed, and have not given up. I then became so invested in your run. Eventually world's first and second raid completions happened, and you just got to the last checkpoint. At that moment, nothing else mattered. I just wanted to see you complete the raid and get that emblem. I was praying and hoping you'd do this tremendous feat, screaming "Come on!" at my screen.
But just like it did for Cinderella, time ran out. I was heartbroken when the 24-hour window to get that super-exclusive emblem passed. And what's worse was that you did complete the raid, two minutes after the window closed. All of that time, effort, and dedication, with nothing to show for it is just painful.
You and your team deserve the emblem just as much as those who've completed the raid before you, possibly even more. However it is what it is and I wouldn't expect Bungie to bend the rules just for finishing a couple minutes over. I'm so happy and proud of your work ethic, tenacity, and determination to finish what you started.

@Heath Turner Redeem did a great job with the raid but everyone pushing for World's First was studying Datto for the Vault encounter, including Redeem. Props where props is due - Redeem did get 1st, but shitting on Datto just isn't classy especially when Redeem wouldn't have gotten there without watching Datto.

Watching this and the new DLC really, really has me perplexed as to how D2 even happened. This is what should have followed D1. I’m just so sad b/c I can’t imagine what it could be if millions hadn’t been soured again to this game!

Dear Datto, I'd like you to know that this raid was the first I was able to watch live. I tuned in to your twitch at 9:30am Friday morning and watched about 19 full hours of your attempt (I did eventually pass out about 2-3am, but woke up around 6-7am to catch you guys beating Riven and ultimately the entire raid). Major, major props to you and your crew, brother.

I watched about 12 hours of it. I went to sleep around 1, woke up for work at 7:30 and they were still going lol. They killed Riven but got screwed by the nobody left behind mechanic as I was leaving for work...luckily I had opening prep shift today and I watched the rest of the stream on the tablet used for music in the back of my restaurant:) Epic shit! Happy I witnessed most of it, especially when they finally beat Riven!!

No! Of course not. Its not in the spirit of the game. Datto and crew did all the hard work solving a huge chunk of roadblock for everyone. Including the people that got world's first. And while I do understand that they were 2 minutes late, they gave everyone the answer despite not having to. I would also want ninji to get the emblem as well. Because of his persistent and conscious effort to quell the massive influx of toxic people in his chat and for not blindly following the accusations that datto and co were cheating. Which, as they had Been stuck on riven for awhile without any luck, was probably pretty frustrating watching their lead shrink.

Wonderful clear, Datto! I was glad to catch the last half of this, you guys put in such an effort and I honestly feel terrible that you missed the 24 hour emblem. It's always such a pleasure to listen to how well you and your team communicate and how coordinated you all are. This was an amazing clear and you and your team put in so much effort, I'm excited to get to the point where I can do this raid with my friends. Can't wait for the guide!

So I guess rather than deplete her health in a larger time window like 30sec they just “brute forced it” and erased her health in the most absurdly quickest fashion lol

Basically brute forcing means they ignored certain mechanics by simply dpsing the boss down before said mechanics even became a factor (I believe the mechanic ignored was some sort of a way you could stun the boss using the relic.)

World's first weren't remembered because they were world's first. They're only remembered by name because they were already popular. Same with team #3. No one remembers the name of the gold medalist, much less the silver and bronze, unless they're really into said sport. This is no different. Had team #2 placed first, they wouldn't have been remembered as well as you think.

I watched this live, I was there for all 25 hours..took him 24:02 to beat it and then he streamed for like another hour.. and HOLY SHIT that was a ride watching you and math class fight through the bosses and solve every puzzle was absolutely amazing. You would have completed it in less than 24 hours if you didn’t get screwed by the death timer in that run were you killed riven but couldn’t go into her head, and if the tentacles didn’t glitch out on you guys and decide not to drop down so you couldn’t get what eyes to shoot. I can’t wait for the guides and more streams of you running the raid to find out optimal builds. GG - from everyone

Absolutely worth it in every way. With how good Forsaken is, you're getting Destiny 2 and all it's expansion for a fraction of it's price than if you bought it all separately. Plus you should get a character boost so if you don't wanna spend 30-(maybe)40+ hours grinding and leveling up before you get to Forsaken, you can just boost and trust me you don't miss too much especially if you're not super interested in the story. If you're just looking for a simple yes or no, it's a definite yes

Anyone else find this raid a bit underwhelming? Don’t get me wrong it’s very well made and is challenging, which I like. However I didn’t like the idea of fighting 2 techeuns, it felt kind of repetitive. Although both encounters were different it just felt weird fighting the same enemy type twice. The ogre was cool and all but reminded me too much of Golgoroth even though they look different. Riven is by far the coolest boss, but the fact that most of her is hidden during the encounter is kind of lame. I know I sound ungrateful, but these are just my thoughts.

I kind of agree. I wish there was a tad bit more encounter variety. Ex: Kingsfall with Warpriest, Golg., The Sisters and Oryx. All had different attacks and all had different designs overall, not just in the combat portions of the encounters. Although, I do see many parallels to Kingsfall with this raid and expansion as a whole. Which is far from a bad thing.
Same here. I agree with you. I think that at least the Techeuns should have different models and attacks. Also, I personally miss some more exploration and jumping puzzles, if not something like the ships in King's Fall.

Tbh Bungie isolated most its player base with this raid. For the first time record lows took part at the raids launch because Bungie raised the level cap, off the back of no lifers milking the broken prime mechanics.
Along with the raid chest (before the raid was live) and the broken milestones and dailies meaning people couldnt level, all Bungie did was punish normal players that didnt abuse these systems.
Sure not everyone would have done it but most are used to taking part and trying it.
Bungie screwed up imo.
With 10 mill copies sold and the majority being casuals I think a super mechanic heavy raid shouldve been kept for the prestige mode. Let the heroic have the cosmetics or better skins for weapons/armour and an emblem as bragging rights.
The fact Datto didnt even finish in 24 hours kinda shows everything really. Only a handful even bothered really trying. Ive never seen a rid that isolated so many, and seen requirements that were simply impossible for most unless they abused mechanics Bungie said werent working as intended.
Honestly don't mind that very few people took part in the raid launch. I think that the raid was harder than anything else we've ever done in Destiny and deserved that sort of respect. I commend Bungie on making a raid that challenged all of us to our core both in commitment, mental capacity, organizational skills, and determination. I would love for all raids to be as hard as this one is.
This mentality of wanting to make absolutely everything accessible to everyone is what caused vanilla Destiny 2 to flopped so hard as it did in the first place

Kings fall and VOG were tough 1st day but hundreds got them done...not 12 people. This isny WOW and when 95% are casuals making end game like this can also kill a game and players enthusiasm.
i'm in between those types of players, my warlock is 533 light which is probably higher than most players, but still not close to being raid ready really.
I'm fine with grinding through powerful rewards for another week or 2 and then doing the raid in chunks. I don't think this raid will be hard because of mechanics, but due to level. There is no room for error at all when you're 30 levels under enemies.
To be fair, Bungie did state in D1 "Raids are directed for more hardcore players", After King's fall and machine being 2 of their better makes.
I'm extremely impressed and glad to see this Raid pushing the limit of mechanics in play for an FPS.
Yes, its gonna gate people. I'm in my 30s and even my reaction times are shit but i think back to my MMOrpg days before most MMOs turn into hollow shells with shitty content and remember how hard that crap was even with best in slot shit.
You can tell a LOT of love went into that raid, in its current form its a true test of your abilities and limits.

This is really awesome gameplay and congratulations on your completion I think it would be very beneficial for us viewers if you did a similar video to this but during that video you could do a commentary on the Mechanics for each fight maybe tune out the party chat audio and just focus on what you're saying

I was watching throughout the run. Witnessed the 1st, 2nd, and last encounter clears. Hell of a raid.
I was there the whole time, I think I was out of the stream for maybe 2 hours total because my phone decided to overheat and turn off while I was asleep but the stream was on the whole time! Good fuckin job Datto! Watching you complete this was awe inspiring!
