Here’s the blotter update:
- I realise we’re meant to ‘read’ this as a vanilla-oud scent, but I confess, that’s still not the main profile that comes to my mind when I smell it. Yes, there is a quietly vanillic base, but I can’t get past the Bulgari Black-style, rubbery, tarmac-y, tea-like character. And I’m not complaining. Leathers are fairly prolific in this range (or at least, they were until the re-boot), but this one adds an intriguing, edgy, vaguely sci-fi personality to the mix: a flying saucer discreetly landing in the Sahara. I stopped by in Bloomingdale’s and randomly ran into this fragrance. At first I thought it was one of those cheap synthetic fragrances because I see a lot of them in macys, but this niche ‘bulgari’ is the bomb!!! I was amazed by this parfum version.

Persolaise, I really like Le Gemme Orom by Bvlgari. I do not like all the fragrances from the Le Gemme line but Orom is really good. I will end by saying that your video was excellent as always. Take care.

This cologne smells exactly like carlisle from parfums de marly.

I have a sample of each in front of me and I couldn't disagree more. Carlisle is sticky-sweet and smells of apple and patchouli, while Orom smells like dry oud and vanilla.
