Smart move cutting the holes for hot air to blow out of the engine bay. How 99-04 headlights are designed. With the hood down, there is a gap between the center part of the headlights and hood technically acting as "ram air" and with the holes you cut out of the cowl hood. That will make for a very effective heat extractor!!!
Ive got a 2000 GT, and I'm planning to install hood pins myself. I had to install some for the trunk too, because I had to buy a new trunk lid and the lock was different. (Wouldnt work with my key, Key fob doesn't open the trunk, and the trunk button in the glovebox doesnt work) and thusss I installed trunk pins😂 looks bad ass, and its very effective too! Needless to say, ive caught a few eyes at red lights
my advice is to scrap the stock hood latch and just get the hood pins. there so worth it lol. cause my stock hood latch doesnt line up all that great anyway.

Thanks Gene. Havent got it on the dyno yet but its tuned. It runs mid 13's in the quarter mile. Kinda slow I know lol
