In this video we install the entire UPR front suspension on our project 1999 Mustang GT to get it ready for Auto X duty.

Love the channel guys, just parked my 1998 even though it's in perfect running condition. Driving a Honda to say save money to buy parts😂👌🏽 but one thing I always wanted to see was a super clean 2v engine Bay! Next project?

Lol Andrew, seeing the springs come out like that reminded me of my springs.
I can't get lowering springs just yet but I wanted to lower my car because I hated the 4x4 look. So we just cut my stock springs a bit. When we took them out, we found that at least 3/4 of a coil was RUSTED to the control arms in front, and it was a clean cut off of the rest of the spring..

This may be a dumb question... but what’s holding the motor up once you pull out the stock k member?
Do you know what the two extra thick washers that come with UPR A Arms are for?
What kind of Viking coil over set up are you using what spring numbers and what strut set up are you using
What pound spring rate did you end up getting? i have an 02 GT that ive been contemplating doing this but i have no idea what spring rate i should get
So does this suspension setup negate the need for a track bar?
Did y'all square the k member or just bolt it on and hope for the best? If the latter, did you have any issues afterward?

I need help! I crashed my 97 mustang into a palm tree trunk and now I have my front right tire pushed back. it rubs alot on my fender. I've put in new struts but still the same. I also notice that my wheel ,when straight, it's slightly to the right. Would I have to change the k member or would I have to replace my a arm, steering rack, outer tie rod etc?
What spring rate did you go with? I have a full UPR set up (basically identical w/o the viking shocks) and it rides like a stiff boi honda lol.. my rates are 10/250 and 10/150.
Did away with the sway bar so no more stabilizer links eather ?

If you take a pic of the broken spring and send it to eibach they will send you new springs no questions asked. They did it for both my brother and I.
if it rides good I'll have to do a similar setup on my sn95
We are going to make a lot of videos about the adjustability of the suspension and we are going to push it on the auto x track

Am I missing something or is that jack under the oil pan the only thing holding the motor in place while the original K member is out?
You're not missing anything. Just don't knock it when lowering the k-member and you won't die.
It's gonna drive like a brand new car. :-P
I think that piece of spring is part of the original spring
whats the whine on the 2v? its not boosted right? i ask because ive got the same whine on my 2v but its automatic so it only happens when theres about 50% throttle givin above 2500 rpms.. i just figured it was the cams or the plastic intake that sucks so bad. ALso, im not talking about the timing chain whine that is notorious on the 2v in the high rpms..
+Kenneth More the whine in this car is the transmission. Nothing really to be worried about
all you did was trans jack the motor? anything else securing it while the subframe was being replaced?
You cam put a support bar on the top and chain it off

is there another way i can put longtube headers on without taking out the k-member?
loosen the motor mounts and raise the motor , its a b#@$% but usually can be done in a couple of hours . Had to do it twice on mine lol

Transmission jack.
um i just noticed that the cam cover on the driver side oil fill is the older non pi style. the motor been replaced on thiscar?
It is absolutely possible that the engine could have been replaced before.

i would look at the intake manifold see if the first intake runner runs to the pass side or the driver side.

so I have a 2010 mustang and recently removed the cats and starught piped it and it is loud Af it has this awful raspiness around 2300 to 3400 rpm range wat can I do to kill that I heard 2 j pipes would work any suggestions

do yall ever travel to the east coast? i got a single 62mm hellion turbo on a 2001 cobra with a bunch of mods i desperately need to tune it to ct weather and 93 octane, already has everything she would need just needs some love dialing in the motor to work well in combination with the turbocharger system air intercooled as well, ton of parts i would love to even road trip your way and get this baby dialed in if you could help?@
I have the delta force interface software i saw a cd and a usb port so im guessing ill have to use my macbook or maybe my ipad if i can find the right apple cable if it even exists..
but yea let me know if you can help me tune this baby in its a legit 01 cobra needs some love feels like fuel cuts if u get on it and spool up the turbo and shes blowing white smoke ever since i put shell v power 93 octane in her.. service light came on i bought a new fuel cap with key and it went off in a couple miles... please help i hope this isnt a blown head gasket!! also needs some gasket for the driveshaft mount that mounts up to the tranny.. plz help stang bros..!!
im in CT but would be willing to roadtrip and meet up with some dope ass mustang heads that can help me get my 4 valve running perdy again..

I’m thinking about changing the K-member on my 2003 GT, how much weight can the oil pan support if I was to do it in my garage? Can it support the whole engine while the stock k-member is out?

Bryce Hickman I put the stock k member back on. I removed it to do BBK longtubes. I’m planning on doing a tubular k member sometime next year

Did the kit come with the shocks?
I think you have to order them separate because I ordered the kit for my coyote swap and all they gave me were the springs and adjusters.

Lil Dez I have same exhaust but with off road x pipe on my 98 you'll love it I always recommend that setup for 2vs

I believe so. But why? Spend the money and get the better a-arms and coilovers

Mustang Lifestyle keep Turdzilla 2v and go with the Ford Racing Boss 5.3 stroker longblock with trick flow heads and cam. makes 466hp/414tq. Then setup e85 to break 500hp!

Maybe just my OCD, but why not clean, pressure wash and paint the rack and pinion? Also all the other miscellaneous parts while you are under there. If you are going through all this effort already it should be worth it no? Either way props man👍
The motor wasn’t in there much longer after this. It was 4v swapped later
Well once k member is swapped it's much easier to work on you can even do header swaps with the upr k member in place
