Going to add my fix here just in case. I saw another comment that pointed out that if you use an M.2 drive in the slot under the cover, you can't use the SATA ports on the right side of the mobo (I think it's SATA6). I moved my connections from there to the ones at the very bottom of the board, and it worked right away. I should have read the manual I guess!
I’m glad this video was here but my solution was simple and in my face the entire time. I keep forgetting that the drive will not show up at the top where the drives are. You have to go to where the drives are at the bottom page on disk management and scroll down then find drives that says “unallocated” and then right click and create a new simple volume.

Same the amount of joy I had when it works was immeasurable!
Yes it says in the manual but is easy to miss.
enabling CSM helped me to see my nvme samsung on boot priority, thanks a lot!
same here.. but mine M.2 is Inland but it finally sees it in the boot menu.. YAAA!!
Same here. Enabling CSM worked for me. Phew!
Same
similar, for me it was an old hard drive
I’m glad this video was here but my solution was simple and in my face the entire time. I keep forgetting that the drive will not show up at the top where the drives are. You have to go to where the drives are at the bottom page on disk management and scroll down then find drives that says “unallocated” and then right click and create a new simple volume.
Intel 10th Gen CPU doesn't recognize M.2_1 slot... there's where I messed up....
yep me 2 and that fged me up. fuckc them
enabling CSM and then done, thank you so much for fix my problem
Watched a lot of videos and this one was the one, thanks for the help. You got a sub from me .
Omg that enabling CSM fixed it for me. I. Was so scared i would not be able to boot my computer again after switching motherboard and other components!
I nearly started crying. Updating bios should not do that lol
CMS worked for me, I was upgrading from 2013 hardware, so I’ll need to see about installing a new OS or something
Same I literally had 2006 hardware
Our disk is detected, but we cannot boot, since it is not listed in the boot menu, as shown at 4:29. Needless to say that it boots on other devices lightning fast, but not on our B560M-plus.
Update: CSM helped much. Thank you for this tip !
So much trouble to attach a new drive. What a shame.
Hi, according to your question, may I ask have you encounter any problem with the drive?
Have you update the drive?
What happens after you update the drive?
Also, could you kindly provide the product model and OS version?
Thank you.
Followed your instructions to the letter . The end result was corroded sata cables .
Thank you . I overlooked the cables for hours
Thanks a lot...

@@ME-DN as for me I enter the BIOS , enabled CMS after that my system detected my new m2 ssd. Just follow the steps shown in a video
@@ME-DN in this case the video says "install an add-on graphic card"
What's your model of motherboard and graphic card?
@@ME-DN I found in the internet this information ": The Intel® 500 series chipset does not support UEFI VBIOS graphic card, hence the integrated graphics mode does not support legacy boot and CSM option becomes non-configurable"

Thanks. Resetting the bios to default settings enabled all my sata ports.
My SSD in the M2.2 slot has a heat sink and it‘s therefore less flexibel. I had to try different angles until it was recognized because it is installed on the back of my motherboard. In the first slot, it is immediately recognized without problems. But now, that I have installed it with a lot trial and error, it works as it should.
2:37 that worked for me, thanks !

My laptop is asus tuf gaming fx504 and the same problem suddenly hard drive not detected. In my case there is not showing CSM option and also I updated my bios from asus site but it still look like quite different, it's not look like this video bios. So please help me fix out this problem.

My NVMe SSD drive DOESN'T APPEAR IN NVMe settings!
Why is that what to do?
(I can make ssd work but I wanna enable NVMe tab in BIOS!) I know it's NVMe 100%
So why it doesn't appear there? (tried all the slots it just says no NVMe device detected)
Hi, Werewolf Master.
May I ask if you have followed the video or the or the FAQ within the description box to confirm the settings in BIOS or enable [CSM] in BIOS? It is recommended that you cross-test the hard disk with multiple devices and verify at least one device is able to detect it. Please cross-test with other slots as well.

I've used my computer regularly every day with new components since October-November 2020. Today I see that my monitor shows the BIOS and I come to realize it isn't booting into Windows anymore. I see that my NVMe isn't showing as a bootable device anymore in the BIOS. I tried disconnecting, reconnecting the NVMe; trying it into the M.2_2 port; updated to the latest BIOS (2423 x64 - 8/10/2021[Build Date] and even in another nearby computer (that also had an Asus motherboard). My motherboard is Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus. I've resetted to BIOS defaults and pressed F10 to save and exit. The NVMe *does* show in "Advanced>NVMe Configuration" as Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB. It shows Seg:Bus:Dev:Func as 00:01:00:00 Model Number as the Sabrent title I stated above. Total size is 0.0 GB Vendor ID is 1987 Device ID is 5016. Doing the Short/Extended Test below returns a result: "Not Available"

Hi Asus. I have a B650 E-E. Two NvME drives installed in both gen 4 slots (gen 5 x2 are empty). In addition only two of my three Crucial MX Sata SSD's are detected. I can't get the last one to show up in Bios at all.
Hi, may I ask have you try the steps according to the video or the FAQ at the description box?
Note that if you have set CPU overclocking or Memory overclocking, the computer may not detect the hard disk or SSD.
Also, M.2_1 port can support SATA mode and PCIE mode, but M.2_2 port can only support PCIE mode and can't support SATA mode.
Please confirm Sata cable is correctly connected. Could you provide your BIOS version? Thank you.

This helped, I have a new ASUS X570-Pro TUF Gaming WiFi AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard and updated the bios to 4002 version from three thousand something. After this the Motherboard would not find or see the Samsung 960 SSD (SATA not M.2). I was stumped, it was not in the boot menu even though it showed up as a drive in the Motherboard. Once I enabled CSM (I had a Nvidia GeoForce 1060 graphics card already installed), I was able too the Samsung 960 SSD in the boot menu (as well as other items), I selected the Samsung 960 and as able to boot.
The bios update should not disable seeing hard drives, I would classify this as an ASUS bug.

I am afraid this video is for motherboard products. The Windows Operating System which supports Intel CoffeeLake and later processors is limited to Windows 10, so [Launch CSM] feature(option) is no longer in the BIOS Setup menu from Intel CoffeeLake processors.
