I am soo excited for this beanie along, I knitted when I was younger but definitely need a refresher. I was thrilled when I saw the video was up with the material list. like you i am all in. I live in New Zealand and I have been able to get the interchangeable needle set from my local online store. I'm going to give it a try. I didn't have much success trying to teach myself to knit from a video tutorial in the past. I just got frustrated and kept starting over because I lost count of the stitches.

I’m so excited to learn and knit with you! Question about dpns. What length should we get? The set I was planning to get comes in a 4,5,&8”. But I’ve seen other length options as well.
I am a crocheter. I actually have a lot of the supplies you’ve mentioned not so familiar with the DK and the fingerling weight yarns though. I might have a few sock yarns that will work for this project but I have to check and see if they’re 100% wool. A question I had was your pink beanie that you shown, is it DK weight and 100% wool? I like how it stretches. I’ve only knitted a few things, but have quite a few projects that I’ve started and not finished, but none are on this type of yarn. I’m used to using worsted weight yarn, but for a hat, I don’t like the bulkiness that it gives.

You have started a "thing" I do believe~Your preferred stores are almost out of DK 100% ...., bamboo double pointed American made needles are out of stock in many stores. Circular needles, made in USA on Amazon, low in number. Congrats on your success~~~~~

Yes, only 1 skein of DK yarn will work perfect for all sizes!

How many yards of yarn is needed?
That depends on the size hat you are making. One skein of DK weight yarn will work for all sizes and it what I recommened.
