I literally just watched your canning video from 8 years ago clicked off this video pops up and Eli was on the table crawling around and today he is helping his dad build a fence. This kid probably knows more than most adult Engineer775 you have done a fine job with Eli. It’s a beautiful thing to watch. Love your content!
Much appreciated. He is a great kiddo.
Get some Carharts and boots on that boy! He's a workin' man now!
Looks good and simple to use. For the life of me I wonder why some people put silt fence in the creek. IT IS SILT FENCE. Nice job
There is something just ..... Right about seeing a ld help his dad with work!
Something more should do!
Weld a rod on to an old tooth and then you can poke holes for the posts as well.
I've always used the silt fence that has the prestapled 1"x1" wooden stakes on it. Quick and it will hold up to a foot of water if the ends of the fence are anchored.
That's a pretty handy idea!
I'd almost turn it around so you can go forward with it and not worry about backing into something
Damn...Little E is getting so big :)
very expensive for silt fence, non wire reinforced will be so much more cost effective and using 2x2 wood posts every 4' foot and staple the fabric on the posts quicker and more cost effective and if you pull the fence up easily you can roll it up and reuse it for the next job. I don't know of too many situation where you would need wire reinforcing the greater the distance of "green" space you can get between your fence and your excavation is good also it helps. Even driving stake you should call dig safe. I have seen gas line just covered with dirt not even to code depth and drive a stake into one and it was not located which was the saving grace on that for being charged with the line repair.
anyway keep on keeping on

What’s the tools to use when no space for mini excavate can you show it to the public
if it just a short distance you can use a hand trenching spade. If you need a power machine you rent a hand trencher, or a walk behind machine trencher.
Wilton trenching spade.

For walk-behind you can rent ditch witch machines.
I dug a 110' trench last summer by hand, irrigator's spade and a 6" crocodile brand eyed hoe. Trench was 6""+ wide x 16" deep, straight line. Was a thing of beauty! Buried 3ph. alu. secondary cable. Had an idiot hit it crossways in the dark on his four wheeler. He didn't try it a second time…
WoW !
Couldn't you just put it in the ground and move the backhoe backwards instead of using the arm then moving back this way you're maintaining a depth? similar to a cat with a trenching tool behind.
Probably not, as the tool is using the pendulum swing to move dirt out of the hole. My guess is that you tried dragging it in, it might bend or shear the bolts.
The same force loads are acting upon it either way…
Maybe he should be 776. :-)
Put it in the ground and simply walk the machine...
It would only work on perfectly flat ground.
