Had my XPower for about a month now and OMG it's fast. Still trying to hold full throttle on a launch control all the way to 60 mph but it kind of freaks you out. For me it just means I have all the power I'll ever need in any situation and overtaking is way safer. As a daily driver it's extremely nice, very cultured, no vices, honestly love the car and still glad I went for the xpower variant for sure :) What type of battery does the xpower have @jerry? I thought I'd seen it was an LFP but it still suggests charging to just 80%?
That's is exactly why I bought it. No intention of flooring it or launching it all the time. Just want to know there's always all the power I need, whatever the scenario.
I wander if SAIC will update software to have DASHCAM function, with recodring mode maybe with Speed and GPS tracking. I know there is a Track mode, but not a daily dashcam mode.
Hi Jerry , great video as always, good point about 2 motors making a lot more more whine than normal, looks like you had a lot of fun testing the speed in a straight line but I think the standard models have better driving experiance as the xpower upgrades take the fun out of the driveability of the car, thanks for your time in showing everything MG4.
How was the ride quality? MG have done a fine job for their first hot EV hatch. Sure, the Germans will eventually bring their hot hatches to the market but I guarantee, they will be much more expensive.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, it is a very fine job from MG! It is not bad compared to its performance. Harsher than a standard MG4 but softer than something like a Subaru STI. I would say similar to a Golf R (not as premium for sure).
I30n isn’t in the same league for straight line performance, not even comparable, I recently drove a Leon cupra 300 dsg, and it felt like a slug after driving the X power mg4. The cupra wouldn’t even see which way the mg4 went.
picking my Xpower up tomorrow !!
How is the car so far?
Bought my XPower already, in green!
Nice choice. I cannot wait until I see the green in flesh.
MG4 is an absolute beast! Btw happy birthday Jerry 🥳🎉🎊
Thanks bro.

Thanks for the comment. The battery for XPower is NMC pack.

Probably not possible. MG has no plan on bringing the dashcam function.
@@JerryPanandCars it is possible, but perhaps they chose not to.. in the begining tesla didn´t have that function, now they do. only software.
I’ve been told of one that’s gone to a drag strip, tyre pressures lowered and done 3.1sec 0-100kph. Stupid fast!
yeah, 3.1s is very scary.
LOL no.
@@mattyoz0 LOL, yes.

Thanks Glenn. It is a lot fun with the XPower but most people may not need that.

Fine. Not S Class but I don't need that and wouldn't pay for it. As good as any other car this size.

I think we got to hear Jerry making a mess in his pants!
Thanks for the comment! I surely did go to the loo right after the test drive :D
Stupidly fast is what I thought about my i30N Performance so this car would be the same… a licence threatening piece of madness!
yes but this is half the price.
Love the i30N. A very cool car but rare to see in New Zealand
