As an American and a lover of this music genrre, I am so impressed and intrigued by this Belgium film and the impact of its musical backdrop on a great storyline. The influences of this music make the world so much smaller.

I really hope this films get the Oscar, I would be way more deserved that The Great Beauty. Films like this or Blue it's the warmest colour are pure emotion, The Great Beauty it's a real spectacle, but an empty one.

This style of music brings people together. There is a great bluegrass sceene in Munich and we all loved this Belgium film :-)! Saw it second time open air and it was awsome!

This version just isn't a patch on the Dan Tyminski version...
I think both have their merits. The raw feeling of voices close to us (almost whispering at the beginning), and the female vocal performance in the Broken Circle Breakdown's version gives it a special touch that was not in the original version. The instrumentation is a bit more rough and less technical, making it very plausible in the movie.
