Marvel Spider-Man 2 - June 18th Update Review & Analysis!

- Hey everyone, CW Games here welcome back today I will be doing an analysis and breakdown of the Update that released today for Marvel Spider-Man 2. I will analyse good and bad aspects of this update as well as provide my own opinions on what still needs to be improved in future. An option to choose the symbiote suit that is equipped during surge would be very welcome.
Or they could just do it Web of Shadows style and allow us to toggle symbiote suit on or off with Peter’s Up D-Pad which is unmapped so far. It shouldn’t be that hard with the tech we have today.

@@sebastianmaregatti I don't believe you can mate I've tried changing the parry system and nothing changed. At best you can change the surge costumes between Anti Venom and Symbiote Suit by changing tendril colours but there is no way to officially turn it off unless you replay a mission.
Very disappointed that we are forced to have the surge suit, I atleast wanted an option to turn the surge suit off or pick our own all together, it can't be that difficult
Yeah I 100% agree with you mate as I said in the video, We NEED an option at least to be able to toogle surge suit change on/off and at best we should be able to select the surge suit. I think this update was beneficial in some way but to be honest I think there is a bunch of things we still need not to mention story DLC. I really want an option to trigger Peter's Symbiote dialogue.
It is difficult though, with everything that insomniac is going through right now.
They also did that by locking you to the surge suits while surge. Before you could change mid surge to have a cool transition but now you cant. The entire history of this games updates are one step forward but one step back.
Guys you CAN turn the suit change during surge off, just choose the “suit” setting in parry

Not mention Peter’s aggressive dialogue for when the Symbiote suit starts making him more aggressive and more menacing if you know what I mean. like they should even update it so we can have a setting to change Peter’s mood and I got some cool setting names friendly Neighborhood,black suit, Symbiote Suit etc that would be a really update to have in my opinion hopefully insomniacgames will notice these ideas and will do them. Maybe in the future
After this patch, raimi suit's back spider has bug
I've never encountered that but hopefully it get's patched at some point thanks for letting us know bro.
I hope we get the ability to change the surge suit and the takedown methods.
With the new colorways of the Symbiote suits, it would be sick to use them in Surges.
Definitely bro this update was great and asking for more is not me complaining were just spreading ideas for Insomniac to include in the future.
3:36 "You won't catch me dead in these things" lol same. Idk why we keep getting these bad fan designed suits instead of ones people are actually asking for from the comics.
Yeah I honestly mean no offence to the artists bro because understand and respect them for trying but come on we need comic suits, and I don't hate OG designed ones like the velocity suit or resilient suit from 2018 in fact I want them back with colour variants. But these designs ARE NOT spidey suits mate. The suits I want to see are Big time with a colourway resembling scream from the time it turned orange after she screamed at him, all the Spider Armor MK Suits from 2018 maybe apart from MK2 because I've seen it lots already and the anti ock suit is a better version, some symbiote colourways for the TASM suits, some animated suits from the 1995 cartoon and finally my most requested Spider Carnage not a stupid red colourway I want spider carnage with a Venom variant and Anti Venom Variant all the suits for Peter btw Miles I think has everything already Peter is missing out.
@@CWGAMES210 Yes to all of those suits. The 3 suits I want the most are Spider-Man Unlimited, Spider Armor MK 1 (No idea why they haven't brought it back yet) and the 90s animated suit. I do appreciate them giving us 4 legacy suits along with the fan designed ones at least.
Alot of these games development choices have been very odd/disappointing. Especially when it comes to integrating fhe symbiote stuff. Theres still no toggle to take it on and off on the fly with choosing your symbiote suit and regular suit. And you still cant change yoir symbiote surge suit. People have been asking for these since he game released. And thats not even talking about us rocking up on ghe games first year anniversary and we still haven't gotten official news about the dlc.
I understand that bro but we still got to be somewhat considerate of the cyber attack last year. I just say to myself Insomniac are not nearly as bad as rockstar games. They will come through eventually this game has sold too many copies for them to just ditch DLC
Their should be an option for every suit to turn into a symbiote suit at the press of a button -like make every variation dark - shame this hasn't been added
That's a lot of work
As cool as that would be it definitely would be alot of work as Brian Intihar even said putting 2018 suits back in the game isn't as easy as copy and paste and you have to work from scratch with Spider-Man 2. If that's the process for adding legacy suits I can't imagine what it would be like to do this. But hey don't lose hope maybe they'll do it later or in Spider-Man 3.

I've spent 66hrs into the game and not once have I seen a Symbiote takedown glad they fixed it
For sure mate they adjusted the frequency, so it is more common now and that is great the only thing I want now is an option to trigger Peter's Symbiote lines in crimes.

I mean I understand that bro but let's try to maintain some faith we'll definitely get some REAL story DLC down the line this is just an appetiser you could say. Hold on bro the time will come soon.

how to select the symbiotic special attack (triangle + circle) it only does the one with punches and kicks and with mechanical arms
Hey buddy, Basically the symbiote finishers randomly appear like most of them Insomniac increased the frequency, so they are more common for me personally I ended up using anti venom tendrils and they spawned twice in 1 mission, so I reckon you need to have symbiote abilities active. I don't think the colour tendrils matter or the suit. Just keep doing finishers you'll find it bro. let me know how it goes good luck!
