I LOVE LOVEBITES. They are so very talented. That's the song that I first heard and have loved them ever since. Check out "Scream For Me". The last 1.5 minutes will melt off your face.
This is one amazing song, but most importantly, "Awakening from Abyss", their album, is a 61 minute assault on the senses. Shredding guitars, killer bass, outstanding drumming (killer drumming to be honest) all tied up together with powerful vocals. Dueling solos are a constant throughout the entire album. This is an extremely talented band that needs way more exposure, and having played at Wacken will surely make them a force to be reckoned with. They will soon tour in Europe, and I´m watching them live for the first time on November 21st in London, going there all the way from Portugal where I live. I bought the album as soon as I heard this very song, it gave me the chills, and let me tell you, the money spent on the album was some of the best I ever spent. In my opinion the best metal albums of 2017 are: -Lovebites - Awakening From Abyss and -Unleash the Archers - Apex. It´s an awesome time to be a metal fan. Japan in particular is giving the world top notch heavy metal, hard rock and Alt rock. Got to love the land of the rising sun. If I may leave a sugestion, please react to "Aldious", the songs "We are", "Dominator" or "Sweet Temptation" are excellent choices. They are also an all female Japanese metal band (they are considered the pioneers of this wave of female fronted bands emerging from Japan in the last few years) and I have a feeling you will like them. If you want to see how all this all-female metal insanity got started, you have to go back to Show_Ya, a band formed around 1982 that has been kicking ass almost continuously since then. To me they are a proto-metal band, almost like Deep Purple Mark II got reincarnated as a bunch of Japanese women, complete with Blackmore and Lord in dresses.
