Today I am sharing some things that I got from estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores! We had a bit of drama this time but I still found some awesome deals for my home! I hope you enjoy and God bless you all!

I once purchased a wooden wall shelf from an antique store. It was too big for a bag so after I PAID FOR IT, I was walking through the parking lot to my car. As I was putting it in my trunk, an employee was running from the store yelling at me. He said he didn't see me pay for it. I showed him the receipt and he just said sorry. I was humiliated and never went back and never forgot. The End
What a horrible experience! I would have never went back either, I would have felt the same as you probably, especially after you already paid for it and everything! It sure makes me more thankful for the good stores that I find and the good sales where everyone is nice, I hope that we both don't have bad experiences like we did again! I love the our daily bread board and the lady with wheat is beautiful 😍 I wasn’t outright accused but my daughter and I were watched really closely by an employee at goodwill a few years ago, I haven’t been back since.
Thank you! I love that board as well and the wheat lady, I think they will be great for Fall decor. I bet that was so uncomfortable! It definitely makes you not want to go back, I would do the same.

I love that beautiful cutting board! Your husband found so many wonderful items for his office, he hit the jackpot. My favorite thing was the solid wood frame with the dark picture in it, that is so unique. Just ra upon your channel and I love thrifting and estate sales as well, although now that I am almost 70 there is not much more I need to bring into this house lest I be called a hoarder LOL. Hello, wow you found some cute items! I believe the white shade is hobnail milk glass, and it goes on a lamp. Keep looking, I do see them once in a while in the store but usually missing the shade. we had an electric white hobnail milk glass lamp when I was a kid. It had a chimney like an oil lamp that fit over the bulb and a heavy brass ring that held the top which looked like the piece you showed.
Oh how cool! I would love to find a lamp to go with the shade I found, it is so pretty. I would love a brass piece to go with it!

Hello Mikayla, I’ve Never been to an Estate Sell but had the same thing to happen to me at a Goodwill Locally I had purchased a Lamp for my brother it had Antlers on it! I paid $9.99 for it and a few days later I went back & the Manager approached me and asked if I purchased a Deer Lamp?? I said yes she asked what did I pay for it? I told her it was marked $9.99 she said it was supposed to been $14.99 I said to her well it had a Ticket on it! I had my receipt and showed it to her made me feel like she was Accusing me of Changing prices also! I told her have u ever thought maybe a Worker or someone else Changed the price?? She said that hadn’t Occurred to me! 😩 Well I told her Iam calling Corporate and I did! They told me if it happens again tell the manager you already called Corporate on them once! And I’ll do it again! She shut up than! Like I told Corporate the stuff is given to you all! He said Mam we have tons of calls like this daily! He Apologized for the Manager & told me next time she sees you she will be Apologizing! Love your Thrift Haul!
What a terrible experience! I’m so sorry that happened to you, I think $9.99 was a fair price anyways. Being accused of something wrong when you know you’re a good person who would never do that does not feel good at all. I’m glad you called corporate! Maybe it won’t happen to someone else now. Thank you for sharing your story! It helps me know that I’m not the only one who has to deal with things like that sometimes ❤️
Tbh I don’t like estate sales, unless it’s run by the family. Prices are way too high now. Well, one time I went with friends to an estate sale at Orange County California. It was great! Awesome mid century items. I got a box full of federal and Pyrex mugs. However when the person ringing me up saw an thermostat shaped like an owl in my box, he picked it up and said “nope I can’t sell you this because it’s mine now”. I was like “no!” But he was Dain serious and kept the owl thermostat!!!! Horrible and unprofessional! So now I’d rather go to flea markets, and I’ll skip any estate sale run by “professionals”. Tyfs❤
I usually have good experiences at estate sales so this instance for me so shocking! It was not a fun sale to be at, that’s for sure. I would not want to go to them either if the person over it took stuff from you! Wow so rude! I love flea markets to, it’s neat how a certain booth can be your exact style and you can lord that you need for your home ☺️

No but I’ve had drama at church so I never went back to church for 25 years or more… now I’ve just started going back …I’m in my new state of mind that I’m going for GOD. I was just gonna say I wouldn’t avoid those EstateSales. I would just keep going to let them get to know your character and that they can KNOW that they can trust you to be truthful.

That cottage picture you found in the beautiful heaven wood frame, I would suggest staining the frame a darker color so the picture pops more ❤

I am so sorry you and your husband experienced that treatment , yes dear I have experienced that and it is very painful because like you I have never stolen anything in my life, pray for that poor woman honey it’s sad that money means that much to her she needs the Lord . I love everything you purchased it is going to look beautiful when you get it all in it’s place. Hello sweet friend! The little duck planter is really cute!🦆The lamp shade is hobnail milkglass.. my oldest lamp, which is the one that got my lamp addiction started, is a brass kettle with a clear hurricane glass & the hobnail milkglass globe globe/shade like that one over it. Its my bedside lamp & I absolutely love that lamp! My other bedroom lamp is the electric oil lamp.. its got a wood & brass base with the hobnail milkglass center & then the glass hurricane shade. I keep one of the amber LED lights in it & it gives the pettiest ambiance. But I want to get some of those flickering candle bulbs & put one in it. I love the blue & white figurine💙 I've started collecting some Victorian figurines to go with my Victorian decor, so pretty! Oh I love the old Robert E Lee photo! I love collecting any type of old photo, print, painting, drawing, etc. Some of my fav type of art to collect. And the ones on wood are so cool! The cutting board art is really pretty. Dusti is precious, i love her to pieces. She lives about an hour from where i grew up. I love hearing her estate sale drama stories, she's so funny!😄 Bless your heart, i bet you guys did feel uncomfortable! There's just no need for people to be that rude! I would have felt the same way I'm sure! I think I skip their sales too! I've never gone to estate sales, our thrift store we had in TN always got anything left over from estate sales, so i just waited 🤷♀️ I'd love to start going to some tho! I love old bed linens! I have one of the antique steamer trunks & its full of nothing but thrifted bed linens & most are vintage but all are in really good shape! The pillow cases are pretty! Ohh I love the pic from salvation army!😮 It has that primitive look, which i just love! Love the pic & the chunky wood frame! Love the little rounded wood shelf. I always pick up little shelves or wall vases when i find them at good prices, so pretty to add in gallery walls, under art pieces or on the wall in a small area. Your husband is going to have A very nicely decorated office!😊 The little lacy lamp shade is so sweet.. its going to look really nice on the right lamp! The lace Valance is beautiful.. personally I'd tea stain them to look old, but that's just my personal style! You had A really nice haul with some great pieces! I wasn't sure if it was milk glass or not but I am trying to learn more about the terms for some of the things I find, so now I know what it is when I am out shopping! I bet that amber LED light looks so pretty, I love the soft light that lamps give, I prefer them over overhead lights. I want to find some more victorian figurines to put into my little shelves I find, I thought the little lady I found was so adorable! I love Dusti to! She is the sweetest and I enjoy her Estate Sale videos as well :). We were so glad to leave that sale! Usually estate sales are my fav but this one was definitely not a good experience. How cool to have so many old bed linens! I bet you have some beautiful prints in your collection. I really need to do some tea staining, I have never tried it but I have been wanting to do some DIY projects on some of my things I have been finding and tea staining is one of them! It is unlikely that bumpy shade is from an oil lamp. However, it is from a lamp designed similar to an oil lamp. The reason I know this is because my mom had one: it had a brass base with the next section being a round ball, also out of the same white glass and then the mounting where the light bulb would go and, of course, the shade. It is called hobnail milk glass. Between my sister, brother and myself, that shade was replaced at least 3 different times. Yes, we broke it one way or another. The last shade would have gone on what was used for a bedroom light, like on a vanity or dresser. They were common in girls rooms and usually were in pairs. Pink was very popular at the time. You did get a lot of nice things. The duck on the metal plate is a mallard duck.

I bought an iron at Target. The box was a little dented and taped but I didnt think anything of it. Got home , opened the box and someone had returned it but they put their old iron in it and returned the box taped to Target and got their money back. When I returned to the store to show them, they treated me like a criminal. It took me half an hour to get my money back ! Have never shopped Target again. Sorry that happened to you, its really humiliating to be made look like you’re a thief 😡
