      Hi Barry,
      One of the guys on here... 'Diz'.... is from Edmond Oklahoma.... I see he is rugged up hitting balls this time of year.... the 'New Swing' will be continuing to evolve so you have found it at the right time.

      Say JH, the first few videos are more my style, the later more technical parts of the swing I'm having a problem with ... I pretty much keep it more simple for my feeble 65 year old mind . I keep watching your first line of videos... I've always had a long swing which with my poor hand eye coordination makes it hard for consistent golf... this shorter swing seems so much better... I also live in a small town my closest golf course is about 45 miles so I practice with my wedges on an old football practice field...Thanks for your reply ...

    Bracing the left side I think while loading the right is key its much simpler taking the club back with the left hand and catching it with the right and firing it through.standenthehandle cheers.

    Great. I need to know the ball position with different clubs and in par 3 where i should aim in relation to green?

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The correct ball position is where the clubhead ends up being when you just let your arms/hands position themselves naturally in front of your body at address .. you should never move any arm into a contrived configuration at address .. just let both arms form themselves naturally in front of the body .. just bring the hands together as if in a 'Praying' configuration .. but at a position low in front of the body as apposed to high up in front of the body as in a normal praying position .. the only addition to the praying hand configuration is to configure the hands as you need to to form a grip .. but don't change the general palm to palm configuration setting which is parallel to one another ..
      Don't try to play the ball further back or forward with the irons .. just let the arms set naturally with every club .. and where they set .. is where the ball; is supposed to be ..

      Hi Markus,
      The 'Davinci Code' is a very good way to swing a golf club .. and it took a lot to drag me away from it ... but the Channel Lock swing for 'Me' just managed to do it ..the proof of 'best' usage is in how a swing works for 'you'..'miracles' are hard to come by in the golf swing... so if you are experiencing some don't under any circumstances change from what is creating those miracles ..

      @@weedote1
      Hi Mark,
      The Venetto's swing is polar opposite to Channel Lock.. The Veneto's swing loads into the forward leg and plays the ball forward of body centre at address and lets the trail side release at impact ...
      The CL swing plays the ball opposite the trail foot...loads weight into the trailside and stays into the trail foot at impact .. no releasing or drive from the trail leg/foot ....
      Because the Venneto's swing has a forward ball position at impact it is prone to dragged or pulled shots like all other conventional swings with a forward of centre ball position at address ..
      The CL swing is trailside dominant... the Venetto's swing is lead side dominant.. the two swings are very different ..

    Put a golf glove under your right armpit (for a righty) during your swing and keep it there until your follow through. Same concept and it helps with swing plane and getting stuck.

    How about right foot and leg ? Do they do anything in pivot in downswing?

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a very definite pushing into the ground of the trail foot/leg in the downswing.. by doing that the hips will not over rotate to soon leaving the hands/arms to far behind at impact .I like to feel like I am squashing something under my trail foot into the ground at the start of the downswing.. and I keep the 'squashing' going as long as I can to impact.

    This is very interesting. Could help me complete the turn instead of hitting and stopping.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Thomas,
      If you are stopping after hitting the ball you clearly are not building up enough torque in your back swing to create an automatic reversal of the built up torque in the down swing...you need to make sure there is a bracing in the trail side in the back swing for the lead side to wind up against.
      This swing is like all others relative to needing a torque buildup in the back swing to get the body mass moving back across to the lead side during and after impact... wind the 'body spring' in the back swing.... nothing 'unwinds' if it is not 'Wound Up' first.
      cheers JH

      I have said so many times over the years that the JH practice tee is a 'development' program relative to exploring all facets of the golf swing and how different swing mechanics and thoughts can maybe be of benefit to different players..
      I am not.. and have never been a specific method golf swing advocate.. if what a player is currently using as a swing type isn't giving consistent results.. I just try to come up with 'alternatives to 'try' in order that a different swing process may be better for a person than the one they are having difficulty with.
      As well it would bore me into oblivion talking about .. and swinging with the 'same' swing mechanics every practice session .. I am of the opinion that the 'best' golf swing is still to be discovered.

    Ok jh . I think lee gave us 99 percent the other one is just alittle focus. Being slightly closed you should understand the stabilation part just do it don't over do it its just there with one little thing throw the club back with left hand spot then catch it with right hand spot and throw it back through.its that simple . That will give you the gyroscope around center your lookin for there's the left axis bracen while the right sides loaden.cheers

      If you look at the published date of this video it is .. oct 2016.. the swing back then was a development swing and a breakthrough at the time...and it's still' a great way to swing a golf club .. however... • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      High Darryl, The grip is a Vardon type grip but with more emphasis to holding the club in the fingers to facilitate more the 'throwing' release effect. and the throwing release coming from the trail wrist hinging sideways . cheers Jh

    JH are you not holding that angle at 11:14 ? I get the turn of the shoulder at the ball, but if you are not throwing the hands at the ball, then you are turning and holding that angle into the ball. Please look at this and explain if you can.

      Hi Karl,
      I will be going into much more detail over the coming days and I will address your issue ... at this time as some explanation I am 'endeavoring' to fold the trail arm and hold it it as much as I 'say' I am trying to do but clearly I do not have the new program installed in my brain yet so I am not getting the range of movement I 'think' I am getting at this time.

    Which swing is the best???

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John,
      'which swing is best'.. the one that 'you' can adapt to most effectively.
      All the swings I have demonstrated on my channel I can swing effectively with.. some slightly more effective than others.
      But.. the difference in individuals and their specific physical capabilities and machinations will always make some swing types more adaptable to people than other swing types.
      For me personally.. I think the Channel Lock swing is the 'best' swing because it creates a very consistent ball flight starting direction .. which has to be a major plus for a players confidence.
      Bottom line.. just try the swings.. and the one that turns out to be the easiest to apply consistently .. and gives good accuracy etc.. has to be I would think ... the 'best' swing to use.
      cheers JH

    ok jh for me the results are in . got it in the dirt. I'm right axis left hand dominant and just polishing it off right hand arm. for me that's just a fact of it .for me and my standard lie positined clubs . hitting from the lead axis will have my left knee shelled out abruttly. so I'm back to streer drive left hand with right hand handle standen off right axis.

      Hi Nat,

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Freddy,
      Hogan did it better than anyone ever has for sure, but I dont try for the pitch elbow he exhibits ... in fact I feel the exact opposite of that in that my right elbow actually never feels like it is driving sideways at all coming into the ball...it feels like itas actually moving at the same rate and distance as my trail lower rib cage .
      cheers Jh

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freddy..... PS . I think its more about the amount of 'pressure' you can apply to the ball with this action rather than the actual pivot speed, I certainly am not giving up any distance , in fact I have increased my distance.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally Ping fit a person with that spec because they have short arms .. the more upright lie gets the hands closer to the body and makes you stand up more and anatomically lengthens the club... the closer you can get to the ball the easier it is to get the club going back in the channel with the CL swing ..
