    Yea, bro just threw a Super 44 on my '05 Sport last week. Wishing now this was the first mod I did. The Banks sounds nice.

      Loving the banks so far. My only complaint is the exhaust clamps. I wish that they were band clamps because those seal better. I’m probably going to swap them.

    Just bought the same banks exhaust for my LJ, sounds good, I run my jeep without carpet so I thought it was a little louder than it really is, it’s the right noise level in my mind, and sounds nice and throaty.

    Nice I was looking at that same system. Then my boy backed up while flexed out in a ravine and folded my exhaust over the axle. So now we have the Sawzall-cut Dumped at the axle design and have no worries of hanging it up again.

    I had the Banks monster and thought it sounded a little better than no muffler at all. I went to the Gibson and like the sound way better

    I got the same for my '05 Sport. Mostly based on this video and others that compared different exhaust sounds. Banks and others. The Banks always sounded best to me. Thanks for uploading.

    I wonder how much dirt and gunk will stick to that grease on the skid plate. Great video, very helpful. Sealed the deal for me.

    • @joshritchie_media
      @joshritchie_media  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the outside a lot, actually can’t even rly tell that there’s grease there anymore. I had to take off the skid not to long ago tho and the grease was still there and the surface was pretty clean still.

    That sounds and looks great. It seems very quiet on the inside, too. Any performance increase?

    • @joshritchie_media
      @joshritchie_media  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't think it's quiet on the inside actually. But after a year, I loved this exhaust and I actually miss it bc with my new 4-link suspension, it wouldn't fit so I put a small magnaflow on it. No mods besides adding boost will give a 4.0 more power lol.

    Whaf yr is your wrangler? Mine is an 04 and that’s the yr they added more catalytic converters up by the exhaust manifold. Really kills the sound level.

  • @dogshmog
    @dogshmog หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Too loud. I bought a TJ with the banks monster and it's 82db at 55mph cruising. Even my 8 year old son was talking about his ears feeling fuzzy, which is him experiencing hearing damage. There's zero point to try adding power with a loud exhaust, these jeeps are slow as piss to begin with. This system should be called the Banks rusted out muffler simulator.

    What's the point of a noisy exhaust? To scare snakes and beavers when you go offroading? Or maybe to impress someone on the street. Note that no one is impressed my car exhaust these days.

      There’s something called rust prevention. There’s plenty of rust free vehicles here. Sure over time it won’t last but I now live in southern UT in the desert so that was on my mind when I made this video.
