Makes sense considering how Silent Line has the AI arena where you can make and train UNACs of your own. Making the arena is tedious cuz you gotta do matches again and again and again. xD
@@ruikiri yep, it shifts between close and long range fighting styles depending on what you do. Try to snipe, it’ll come for a melee. Or, more often, dies in 30 seconds.
The entire combat style and weapon use priority shifts drastically based on how evasive you are, what range your FCS is best at, what weapons you used and what defense is lowest on your AC. IBIS has weapons for all ranges and damage types to facilitate this... it's just a pity it's AP is so low you have to drag out the fight to see it.
the room with the exploding boxes is a puzzle. You have to shoot the box STACKS that DO NOT have the red triangle on them. High energy defense is a MUST for Secure Fortress NK-432. Bring a blade or a rocket launcher to deal with the door locks. Energy Shoulder Shields are helpful because they add energy defense, though you have to work around the drain. There's one more hidden objective I forgot about, you need to destroy like 50 enemies AND have 70% or more AP left, lol Believe it or not, you need to get your pilot rank up by getting higher ranks on missions.
So you shouldnt just spray a machinegun inside that room? It definitely looked odd, but oh well :D anyway guess im still going for another episode then, those a rankers need to die ! And also i gotta try the first person cam xb
19:27 no truer words were said also shame that IBIS has such low health, specially when they give you a full repair too low to use its special quirk where it adapts to your play style
I really believe you would have done so much better on a lot of missions if you equipped a laser blade, lol. It's a little tough to get used to, but 1. Infinite ammo. 2. Shreds most MT units. You probably won't use it a ton vs other AC units, but that's the only draw back. Either way, really enjoy your content. Keep it up.
thanks man :D i really like the laser blades and they are very useful but its also a lot easier to hit something with a lockd on weapon than with a laser blade xb
Ironically your desperation tank build this time was better than your last one. Mostly because you forgot to change generators but the one you had equipped was actually better. Though you should have been using your chain gun more. Or like....at all.
So, about your rank, I'm pretty sure it's just tied to how many missions you actually completed; if you failed and skipped too many during your playthrough you won't reach A rank by the end, but that can be easily fixed now that you have the freeplay mode active. You can now replay any mission in the game freely, and any Raven who died in the story (like Shade) is restored as it was, so you won't miss out on any content. If you make another video it could also be your chance to go get those twin gatlings you wanted ;3 (by completing the mission Repel Assault without 3 or more solar panels being destroyed). There are countless more parts you could get in that game, but unlike Verdict Day there was no way to know how to get them, so you'd have to resort to external guides. For the rest, glad you had a great time with these games - and now VI is less than a month away, I can't wait to play it and to see you play it! :D
Im definitely making another video on this because i wanna try the first person cam but those last missions were pushing it... any tips for the double gatling mission? That dude was tough :/
@@ruikiri So, I just redid that mission, and he actually goes down very fast if you know what weapons are very strong in this game. My personal setup are the MWG-MG/800 machinegun on the right arm and the MWG-SRFL/70 sniper rifle on the left arm, both available in the shop. These two weapons together have an unbelievable DPS with a massive lock box, and they'll shred the AC in just a few seconds. There are other very powerful combos, but I find this extremely easy to use and super reliable. At the start of the mission, boost forward and go behind the AC to fight him near the edge of the map, otherwise he'll hit the solar panels while attacking you. Make sure to not hit the panels yourself by accident, of course. Once he's dead (and it won't take long, he's not very good at evasion), there's just a few helicopers that won't be an issue to deal with. Always be mindful of where you're firing though. For the rest yeah, the last few missions of Silent Line are very long and hard (a bit too much even), and I resort to using a tank to clear them as well, so I totally get how you feel.
Bro ratchet and clank was my jam back in the ps2 xb aswell as jak, they are some of my best memories from the ps2, still some of my all time favourite games :D
So yeah when I recommended the 500 round MG I didnt expect you to use it as literally your only weapon. Its still a good weapon as you said, but it only has about 75% of the total damage capacity of the 1000 round one. Thats why I recommended the 800 round one as an alternative, which keeps about 98% of the damage potential but still lowers ammo cost. What Id actually recommend is equipping some missiles for certain targets and rockets for taking out objectives and slow MTs. Guess none of that matters now that the game is over though. On the flip side, the 1000 rounder in AC2 is golden, the perfect MG for missions and you should definitely use it. Do *not* use it for arenas though.
Got another mech recommendation for you, Mecha Knights Nightmare; though it doesn't have controller support, it still plays like armored core for the most part. But it's better going into it blind since it's on the shorter side.
I was forced to pull out my insane “Tank” build for the final few boss battles for this game 😅 Literal Gatling gun shoulder weapons and grenade launcher in left hand lol. IBIS reminded me of Anubis from ZOE.
Ive been thinking about it xb but with remnant 2 and other playthroughs i gotta finish plus AC6 on the horizon.. it might be a while before that happens, but it definitely will :D eventually..
25:10 Yeah that's really it. It'll shred you fast. But it's not that much sturdier than the heavy white non-player ACs........Still sucks you can't use those parts, even though a similar head is added in the very next game, Nexus. Also you need to be an A rank pilot to challenge A rank pilots if I remember correctly. Just S rank some stuff and it should let you play against the A ranks.
Ibis has an adaptive AI, but it’s completely wasted because of its low AP.

@@dangerwarg9682 it was so much better when i could play it with my brother, fighting each other's bots to train them up really passed the time.
So he changes depending on your build or based off of how you play?

Who are the anime girls this guy keeps inserting in these videos?
Nah, it is one of the easiest last bost in Armored Core.
I won't watch any of these, not spoiling what I have saved for personal completion, loose knots need tying
Hey, you do you man :D
One more month for AC6 🎉🎉🎉 and yea i really like the arena mode of this armored core i got my ass kicked wen i played it for the first time 😂
