Yea same. Good training in Des Moines. Trainer I had was an absolute joke. Used me for labor and didn’t teach me very much. Company was short on trainers and couldn’t help me out.
Talking to a tmc recruiter Friday gotta get my cdl permit and that money stashed up but will be hopefully joining TMC soon. So happy I found this video thanks for the info. Hope I get a good trainer like you haha

Les Cassidy sent a message stating I I just didn't want to drive and I asked them why'd I take a driver's job if I didn't want to drive. I was fired while on home time.😢

I want to know what is going on with the manuel truck that is what i love and alot of mega carrier are going automatic I am like ok why manuel truck you have more traction and you have more stopping distance and if you are sleepy automatic is not it because you are to relax manuel keep me on my toes and it is the best of the best for going up and down the mountain

Hi Axel, I'm graduating from CDL training soon and I met a TMC recruiter. I currently live in FL, however, I'll be moving to New England (ME or VT), in 2023. TMC told me they need drivers in the New England market. Will it be easy to transfer from the South up to New England with TMC? Are there consistent loads for New England TMC drivers year-round? I'm impressed with TMC so far, I'm excited to come on board if this transition from FL to NE will be smooth. I hope to stay with TMC for at least 3 years.

I know When I use do shipping and receiving many years ago I use to lift drivers up on there truck. Which wasnt the safest thing to do.

I did the 2 weeks load tarp training decades ago at Des Moines. TMC has their own Hotel right there where you will be training and they have a restaurant as well, first class! you don’t need no car,

@@truckeraxelmunoz4939 ok so there is about 3 weeks of team driving. I understand that is necessary. My issue is I can’t sleep in the bunk while the truck is moving. I can do a couple of hours in passenger seat but can’t get a solid 6 even 4 hours in the bunk. Thanks
@@AlbertMaruggi yeah I’m like you but there are time I drive the whole night and there are trainers that do that too but once you drive all day you will pass out when you go to sleep
@@truckeraxelmunoz4939 actually I did that with a major carrier and truly the bunk was impossible for me. I slept in the passenger seat for a couple hours at a time.

After that conversation with him, I turned my truck in that night. He called me & basically was trying strong arm me. Worst place to work for.

I'll tell you this. Flatbedding is hard physical work but, There is an easy way to do most things in flatbedding. I'm 52 and am trying to get back into driving. Have 10 years experience from the past and did mostly flatbed for Boyd Bros. One thing, like getting your tarps on top of your load. most times the loader will allow you to put the tarp on the last piece to be loaded. No need to lift 110lbs all the time. Again you do need to be fit though.
You know I've aways said never judge a person if you don't know him and one I never talk when I drive and I have the music blasting with my karaoke Nobody messes with a Mexican karaoke

All companies are trying to go auto apparently they have better fuel miles but I think manuals are the best and yes better for the mountains

The tarp weigh about 120lb most of the time forklift guys can help you putting the tarp on your loads
