Your approach is something that's needed here on TH-cam. Teaching how to utilize the features of the Mustang as you learn and review from a different prospective. Keep up the good work.
I have a 2019 manual as well. Put it in sport mode, turn traction off, launch at 3000 and you should hit a mid 4 second 0-60. I usually hit 4.4 to 4.7 if I launch it just right. You are losing power to the tires because traction control is cutting the torque at the start of the launch to prevent wheel spin. Heat the tires up with line lock and have at it. 💪💪💪
Also, I think dumping the clutch isn’t a great idea - your RPMs drop like a rock. Let it slip a bit to keep RPMs a bit higher and you’ll get a better run.
When I first got my 5.0 I had lane keep assist on and it wouldn’t let me go in my track apps brought it to Ford for them to tell me I had to press a button on my blinker Colum I never looked so stupid in my life.
I know on another vid you said you werent going to mod the mustang. But, you seem to really enjoy the driving experience of the manual. Soooooo, I recommend getting the steeda short throw shifter, Tri X. Its just the shifter shaft not the whole assembly. It improves the shifting experience greatly. That shouldn't mess with your warranty. Plus add the Barton Two Post bracket. You will not regret it. 👍

Hey Jon I was wondering if you could tell me the measurement from the road to the bottom of the front splitter? I’m considering purchasing Anderson composites gt500 style front bumper (and fenders) and it is 4.75” from the road. I’m curious how much lower that is vs the oem bumper.

Warm tires and lowered pressure - about 27 lbs - will help for sure. Also, if you have a good bit of negative camber in the rear, beyond -1.5°, you will be launching LESS quickly. Zero camber in the rear is ideal, so a car with a good track/autocross set up isn’t well suited to 0-60 times.

I dont think dumping the clutch is bad. If the car bogs down just increase the launch RPMs. Too much RPMs and the tires will spin. I think his gt has 305s rear he said. So that's a good size tire for launching.
