Thanks bud! I'm in m final year of Law and most of our stuff has always been online. Your steps are a great reminder. My biggest weakness is that when I'm grappling with something and spending a considerable amount of time on it, my brain tries to tell me that I'm wasting my time; that I could be utilising it studying something else. Alas, we have to soldier on! I believe that things do crystallise over time.
Yeh it’s a really tough balance to find, but I think my general opinion is that provided you don’t spend so long thinking about something that you tie yourself up going round and round, you should keep going until you feel you’re really getting to grips with the topic 🤗

If you’re looking to avoid hunching over, it’s probably worth lifting that monitor up a bit higher - you could use a fancy box with storage underneath, or just a couple of old books. Great note tips, thank you!

Hi! I just came from your video about "Are Real-Life Lawyers like Harvey Specter?" (which was an amazing video by the way!), and absolutely love all your content (I may have binge-watched a few videos) and feel really inspired and motivated. I have my IB exams in May and although I received conditional offers, I was feeling a bit unmotivated, but this made me realize the goal I've striving towards. Thanks so much and I hope you have a great day!! Greetings from Japan :))
Hey Karen! Thank you so so much - this is one of those special comments that TH-camrs dream of getting, so really thank you! Always appreciative of a binge watch and I wish you the best of luck with your IB exams - time to get motivated again!! Let’s do this! 💪💪
As someone who is heading into university, all this advice has been very helpful! I am sorely in need of a new note-taking system, and can’t wait to try this out. Just a quick question. When you took handwritten notes for your Cambridge In-Person lectures, did you type those up after class as well? Or did you just leave them as handwritten notes?
Love the video! I didnt know intermittent fasting was a thing until recently. Turns out I've been doing it for a while with dinner being the only thing I eat most the time lol
Oh yeah dude! We need to use more the technology around us more for benefit, also the part that you explain the things for yourself I make that everytime I want to learn something. Nice vídeo.

How did you get your macbook pro onto 2 monitors? I have a mabook air now and in my first year of law school and I think it would help a lot if i could have 2 monitors to work on: one for the lecture slides and one for the notes!
Ummm, for that kind of thing, it really is just repetitions over time! Have a look at my video on spaced repetition maybe :) th-cam.com/video/DNadmXWEYFw/w-d-xo.html
Liam please pleaase clarify, do you have separate reading notes, lecture notes and review notes? Wouldn’t that be to much to handle? I’m really struggling in managing my notes.
Yeh - I know Ali Abdaal is a big fan but I've never quite got fully committed to Notion, although I've tried it out a couple of times and since filming this I've actually gone back to using Microsoft word for the ease of creating notes I can format nicely and then print to study from in hard copy, which is how I like to memorise. Maybe I'll give Notion another try some time though 😋
Hello Liam, I want to improve and learn Legal English. I live in Turkey but there is not anywhere I can learn legal English. Is there any online course do you advice to me? Also If the coronavirus ends also I’m thinking about take a course in UK (like Cambridge law studio or other courses.) but I don’t have any idea which school is good for me in this scenario. I’m waiting your advice thanks. Also sorry my English :)
Hey Sonia! So this was just some prereading and introductory lectures, and I actually only start the LPC tomorrow! But I think the LPC is pretty contact-time heavy relative to the GDL, which is easier to do remotely! 🤗
Just realised I also forgot to say that it depends if you do accelerated or normal! Accelerated is more intense and that’s what I’m doing, so will be in 4 or 5 times a week, but the normal is less (I think maybe 3 days a week)! 😁
Me: already got three degrees in engineering and a MBA. Also me: why the fuck TH-cam suggest me an how to study video? BTW, well done! Interesting video! all the best ;-)
I'm struggling with taking notes for the relevant case law. Rn I'm doing Contract Law, but the annoying part is constantly summarising the case and putting it under my relevant sections. I'm fine with doing this, but it sometimes creates this issue of constantly seeing cases reappear for sections that relate to eachother, how do you take notes efficiently for the cases reappearing? Do you simply copy and paste them under every section required for them?
Just copy and paste the case name. You don’t need the entire summary each time the case relates to a section in your notes. Unless a different tiara of the case relates to that particular section in which case, I normally copy & paste the case name (just the ‘name v name’ no date etc as you’ve already got the full case summarised, no need to continue repeating it in full ), and one word for the topic you are relating it to.
