  • Pam Konya (Pam come to my rescue ). On 21st of May, 1961, an event known as “Freedom Ryders” comprised of busloads of black Americans was attacked by a contingent of White Supremacists in Montgomery, Alabama. The violent clashes erupted between out-gunned blacks and a white militia. This event catapulted the urgency of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, allowing blacks to exercise citizenship, a prize soon after, hijacked by minorities like Latinos, Asians, Middle Easterners and Pacific Islanders at the expense of centuries of black struggle.
    On 21/05/1904, FIFA is founded. May 21st, 1932, Amelia Earhart becomes the 1st female solo pilot to cross Atlantic from US to Ireland. Mobile operation system which led to Android Cells in use in todays’ devices is created on May 21st of 2005 followed by touch screen app on May 21st of 2007. Further on May 21st 2012- 3D printing goes commercial scale. Last Artificial Pancreas is consolidated on May 21st of 2016.
    And, I’m NOT a typical TH-camr! I’m a pathfinder who uses TH-cam platform to share, learn and promote critical sense. I was questioned why the LP disc pictures of some of the songs here belong to the band but not the song title. It’s simple, I only need to bring the band and song’s central message to the limelight along with the oral literature and historical facts associated.
    Today, May the 21st of 2023, blacks still bare the heaviest burden for all the social progress made by the modern world.
    Blacks have up to 50% higher firing rates for any petty professional error or cost cutting, anywhere (Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and The Middle East) compared to other racial groups; the demographic group hardest hit by violent crimes (assaults and murders), mass unemployment, lowest salaries compared to their equals of other races, post-retirement homelessness (In Europe, Americas and African urban centres), however the publicity face of calamities and epidemics by WHO. When it comes to job interviews across the globe (with exception of some MBACs), blacks are the last to be considered for meaningful jobs and least for strategic corporate positions.
    Based on accurate statistical data, other racial minorities (including Non-black Africans - Arabs/Arab Africans and Asian/Asian Africans) too do have their share of the cry but they always wait for the blacks to riot and after access is granted, they readily fill the slots and blame blacks for “victim mentality”, so I’ll not stress on them. Besides the prevalent colourism attenuates their fate compared to that of blacks.
    On the corporate side, the only time you see black faces on the picturesque of an end of year celebrations of multinational representations is during the UN Assemblies yet there are over 4000 multinational companies ranging from mining, bio-pharma, technology, communication, environmental Eng., food& supplements etc producing from raw-materials extracted from majority black African countries (MBAC) and/or dominating domestic markets of MBAC.
    So where does SWOT - Industrial process management tool; where S = Strength, W = Weakness, O = Opportunity and T = Threat; come in with regards to the MBACs? Does the Artificial Intelligence threaten the MBACs’ workforce employability?
    To simplify, the MBACs are;
    [sources of the most valuable raw materials needed by the rest of the world; ranging from oil, minerals, vast tropical rainforests(S)],
    Poor infrastructure, high energy costs, educational system based on academic grade excellence without any technical experience and growing gap between the rich & the survivors + overreliance on imported finished goods (W)}
    {younger population, vast Coast-line and relatively less polluted soil (O)}
    [testing grounds for new artilleries, greed motivated foreign loan borrowers & Squanderers, imminent foreign toxic waste deposition and global warming effects, Lack of clear fiscal & foreign policies, fewer service industries day by day with AI taking away jobs, branches closing (T)]
    Nothing new here but I believe there’s a need to correlate the MBACs SWOT with strategic management tools like Value Chain Analysis and Operational Scorecard-SMART which we shall see soon!
    This song was launched in May 1985 under the label "Ngwe Kede Obembi" by the Jolly Boys (Omore, Prince Jully, Omollo Mwanda & the Group). Jully claims in the song that he has no one else to turn to. Previously was in police custody and Pamela got devastated but little could do. He urges her not abandon him given their past.
    He believes if Pamela stays by him, he shall exercise his RESILIENCE(the ability to spring-back or recover from adversity).
    We all need some force of resilience since we face predicaments almost every once in a while. Japan showed resilience after Nagasaki & Hiroshima atomic bombing.
    Every suburb worker, black, white, Asian, Arab, Latino is resilient in a way.
    Africans are resilient.
    WaKenya are resilient.
    Benga Music is resilient.
    Benga fans are resilient.

      indeed it is for those who lived and felt the release and the era. Good memories are more hounding than chemical substance addiction.

    mit ahinya. Those instruments yayeee... My quiz is "did Jully continue doing solo guitar in Omore kings after Omore's stay in jolly boys?

      @Bwobara; It's true that the two would still co-operate in some songs; e.g: soon after split, Prince invited Omore to play First rhythm in the songs "Ruth be Lich ndi" and "Isca mine". However most of the solo guitar at the Omore Kings was done Jossy Jakombato, and solo back-up was done by Thomas Bunde Waya mali ya Mungu. After 1990, Omore and Jully never worked together again.
