I had never heard of Joe Bonamassa, and then I was looking at the Gibson website and they announced a new Joe Bonamassa signature guitar, and I thought “If he gets a signature guitar, how good a player must he be?” so I checked him out on TH-cam, and before you know it I and two of my friends are in front of the stage in The Old Royal Navy College in Greenwich… then again at Hampton Court Palace… and then Joe’s music is carrying me through stage four cancer to remission!
Norm’s guitar of the day videos and Joe’s music helped get me through a very dark time in 2018-19.
Thanks Joe and Norm (and Michael Lemmo).
"I like to play", no kidding. When he's not working, he's working. Joe is a national treasure. He just keeps getting better.
Not better than the real legends.
It's hilarious to watch Norm talk over Joe while he's trying to demo his wares...so humble.
You really have to give Joe some credit. He’s a hard working, kind hearted, excellent guitar player.
Groundbreaking analysis!
yeah but he's a greedy mofo when it come to vintage gear
@@toor30309 As we all would be if we were in his situation
Joe brings you along on his career. That’s cool.
Yeah he is
I'm 63 now and have been playing guitar for about 50 years. If I had one guitar player who's life I could live, it would be Joe Bonamassa. Guitarist extraordinaire, guitar geek and cigar aficionado......and just a good dude!
Joe and Norm making the World a better place through guitars. 👍
What a quote… “giving someone a guitar can change their whole life” true words to live by, for sure. Love to hear things like that from a true pro
At some point he is gonna be buying guitars off himself and not realize it...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Haha
I definitely believe Joe has more guitars than Norm's store does now.
😂😂
Norm and Joe two legends. I just love ❤️ to watch these guys. So much knowledge and talent.
I'll throw in my two cents about playing guitar. You might not become the next Bonamassa but knowing how to play is VERY therapeutic. Better than any medicine I've found. Grounds me like nothing else. Thanks for the video.
I couldn't agree more. Playing is the best medicine, at least for us guitar nerds it is. There's an additional $.02 to yours!
It’s soo great to see Norm up and about!!
I absolutely love the nephew line and Joe always cunningly smiles ❤
Great musician and awesome person, Joe is one of the greatest guitarist and storytellers, living legend.
😂 Joe, ya gotta stop playing while others are speaking... ya do it in every video. Patience young Danielson. 😅🎸❤️
I love it because he just loves to play. Only 2 things I ever wanted to do were play guitar and fly. Ended up flying for a career but I still play everyday and still play in bands. I still have the passion that I wish I could perform almost everyday. Admittedly it’s a bit harder when you’re doing all the setup and tear down but it’s still worth it. Watching him play and seeing his passion is like living your dream through him. His story is a great one.
I love how Joe can't stop playing over Norm talking
Hats off to Joe. Great musician and very hard worker as such.
I met Joe around seven years ago. One of the nicest guys you could hope to meet. A real gentleman 😎
I started playing guitars since 1964. It changed my life. I took an acoustic guitar when I went to Vietnam to fight in the war in 1968. I now play a pedal steel guitar as well as a jazz guitar. It changed my life for sure.😅
After Jeff Beck passed Joe became my fav living guitar player, not just for his playing, also for being a super cool human being. That said it passes down through family and Norman is the the coolest ever!
Attitude of gratitude and the desire to give back, very classy . Us guitar nerds appreciate you both.
Joe is amazing . Love his dedication
Master Class in True Fire 14 day trial.
That Martin sounds lovely. Loud or quiet it just sounds right.
I could watch these two all day. Always a pleasure
So nice to see people who love what they do. Thanks for sharing!
Love John and Norm speaking because they listen to each other ….let each one speak when he wants ! 🙏🥰
Good to see that Norm is loking good again. I prayed for him when he was ill and to my recollection this might be one of the first times I have seen him in a video and looking like he is back to his same old self which is really great to see. God is good and answers prayers when we intercede for others, just sometimes the answers we get are not always as we might expect or within our own time frame, it is a very delicate thing, and the Lord's will is entirely up to Him but I love that he chooses to let us be involved in praying for others, and our earnest Prayers for others, whoever they are -- will have powerful results. See: James 5:16, Prayer does Work folks.
NEVER too loud when it comes to Joe playing 😁 Saw him last month in St Louis @ the Fox, great show, the band was having fun playing.
Standard protocol, i see joe bonamassa and vintage gear, i like the vid instantly. I could listen and watch joe play vintage stuff all day long. Guitar god JB!
I saw Joe in concert recently in Riverside, California. Great show, worth every penny!
Just love Joe Bonamassa!!!!!!! Don't ever stop being a regular Joe
What a talent and a great sense of humor. See you @ The Taft!!
Once he’s tuned them all, it’s time to start all over- a full time job for sure lol. One of the modern saviors guitar!
I just love Norm and Joe! Fantastic people!
What an utterly heartwarming video, a couple of top shelf human beings! Thanks Joe and Norm!
I think Joe’s acoustic playing is stellar!
You haven't heard many acoustic players then.
@@nealm1814 😂True😂
@@nealm1814you must be awesome at acoustic. If your better than Joe you should be touring bro.
@@MrWonka5MEO Read my post again. I never said I was better than Joe at scoustic guitar but plenty others are.
@@MrWonka5MEOit never fails if your playing guitar or watching guitar players someone that doesnt play guitar will say or comment about someone else being better than you or them.
I am always mesmerized listening to you play. Thank you for taking time to let us into a small part of your life as you share on media outlets. Love to see you at Norms, it is so much fun and never know what to expect.
I got to visit the store last summer and was surprised how it literally is a tiny storefront in a crowded LA strip mall! Super cool to see and some historic guitars in there. Also, Lemmo is a lot taller in person!
Norm n joe together just made my day! Love you guys
“Do what ya love, & love what ya do “ pretty much sums up both Norm & Joe’s lifestyles.😎👍
Thanks Norm, for your charity work. I love that. I have donated my hair 2 times to Loks 4 love and 2 times for Wigs 4 Kids. It just makes your heart warm, doing something for someone you don't know. And hoping it brings a positive effect to bring them happiness.
Fantastic episode, Mark! Amazing store! Rudy seems like such a kind soul.
Two Absolute Legends Right There🥰
Awesome Guys doing Awesome Things👍
I was in LA in August for a wedding and got to meet Norm at the store. What a sweet guy.
Saw Joe 2 weeks ago in Savanah GA, fabulous. My wife who's traveled with Clair Bros./Showco years ago, said this was the best show she's ever seen.
You're looking good Norm. Every video you put out I can see more and more improvement. Your voice is stronger and there's a little boogie in your step. Back to the Norm we all came to love and admire!
I have been noticing the same thing. He looks and sounds better with each new video that he appears in. It is great to see.
Great video with Joe Bonamassa. That '62 Fender Stratocaster sounds amazing. Kind of reminds me of the '61 Fiesta Red Fender Strat Gary Moore owned.
Sounds like 100$ squier
The real shock in these recent videos is how great these Riveras sound.
Thanks, enjoyed the conversation. 👊🏼✌🏻
The sound of that orchestra model 🙌🏻
This video is awesome!!! Norman is very generous, Joe’s message at the last part of the video is inspiring…
Joe is a super talented artist and a great guy. These two together are wonderful. Would love to see Norm visit Nerdville.
This why I love Norms!! Guitar central !!! Awesome stuff
YOU GUYS ARE BOTH AWESOME HUMAN BEINGS!
Couple of superstars, always a pleasure, thankyou.
That Strat is absolutely stunning. If I had a magic wish I would trade collections with Joe. 😂
I'd settle for just spending a day with him touring "nerdville"...

Sir Norman and Sir Joe Bonamassa ... wow.. not sure if any researches about music and genetics!! As you can see here it's amazing thank you. Regards from England.
Norm and Joe are two class act guys. Love'm.
What a shop.... what a bunch of guys shooting the breeze...... what a life..... merry christmas and stay safe..... greetings from down under.
WOW sold out in a WEEK!!! Congratulations Joe I'm so happy for you AND the blues!!!
I used to go in the old Norm's Guitar store when I was a kid off of Vanowen street and they would always tell me to keep my greasy hands off the guitars Lol. Great memories!!
Can’t wait to finally see him in February in KY 🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
Joe works hard to keep up with the addiction we all wish we could afford 😅
Bless you guys! Merry Christmas ❤
So much fun watching❤
What a class act. Norm and Joe. Pretty Awesome
Got to see Joe BonaWho in Seattle. I was a believer before the show. Now I'm a FOLLOWER.
you guys are simply a hoot!!!
Heartwarming. Love the red Strat.
Rock Candy Funk Party is my favorite project of Joe's!!!!!!!!!!!
That story about Joe getting deals while norm was out recuperating is hilarious!
Of course he did!! He is a good custodian
Thanks guys, love that SG, beautiful
❤ saw Joe on the welcome back show in San Jose and it was fabulous. Just fabulous. I do believe we sat right next to his parents in the front row. It was a beautiful show. I have a beautiful beautiful recording of one of your encore songs that night on my channel
Very nice to see these two gentlemen talking ... It's a lot of passion for vintage gear out there. ❤
What if Joe one day decided he was interested in modern guitars? Could you imagine if he went deep down the rabbit hole of Ibanez, ESP, EVH, PRS, and Music Man guitars with, Mesa Boogie amps?
GREAT video guys! Love this video the passion they BOTH share! The next one I see following this path (ALREADY) is young Taj Farrant. Already a Virtuouso and has a passion for Guitars with a very decent collection already, at just 14year old! Its great we are lucky to STILL have passionate gifted players and music connesours with a knowledge for the History and keeping The Blues and Rock alive and well! (The Late Great Jeff Beck was another who's sadly no longer here) so great to have people keeping the passion alive! 👍🎸🏴🇬🇧
Joe at Norms is always awesome!
Norm is the real deal!
Joe is the real deal!
Joe, can you help Roberto ( at Norms front door) find a record deal. He is incredible!🎸🎸
Joe plays and tunes the guitar while listening to Norman 🤯🤣 11:35 🤷🏼♂️
Joe and Norm
Merry Christmas 🎁
I sure wanted to hear more of that sweet sounding Martin
I think Joe also deserves the title of coolest man in show business along with hardest working! 😉 he’s always so down to earth and has a great heart. It’s fun and interesting listening to and watching him all over the tube. What a stud 👌🏼😎
Love watching these two get together in Norm`s store and talk gats :) x
Norm!!! Great legacy sir. You make me smile. You found a way to spend your life around guitars without being in Band. Bravo.
Great video.
Nice to see Joe Pick up a cool Strat.
That looks like the ‘62 Strat I bought in 1978 with money I saved from mowing lawns. It was refinished dark green almost black. I took it to George’s music in Kansas City on North Oak and had it refinished in Fender Candy Apple Red but kept all the original pickup covers and pick guard. It was a great first professional instrument. I traded it in 1980 to Jim Colclasure (Kansas City area vintage dealer) with $1000 for my 1959 Gibson ES-345.
We love Norm and Joe ...both very humble and sweet souls ... Music binds us together.. thanks for your contributions to this beautiful gift from God ❤.Merry Christmas to you all at Norm's Guitar shop 👍❤️
Great to see Norman looking well.
We saw Joe in Austin in October. What a fantastic show! Chris Layton sat in with Reese and the band for some SRV songs.
Joe is not only an incredible guitar player, he is also an extraordinary artist.
An extraordinary human being !!!
Norm and Joe are awesome!
You cant have them all Joe !! :D Congrats to another beautiful one.
I met Norm at a little local guitar swap meet a few years back. Nicest guy around and down to earth.
I still haven't seen Joe play, but it is on my list.
Looking great Norm!!
I had a chance to see Joe but with epilepsy I couldn't go what I admire as you can see the love and pain on his face when he plays
Love this!!
"In my mind I'm still young." Amen, Norm!
I bought an early squire se strat and it plays and sounds great.Lots of hype and overkill.😊
love the opening lick from joe just chicken picking from high on the fretboard down to open so sick
Thanks for this. Good stuff
Hey I live near the Martin factory. I wish I could have met Joe.
