Actually the simplest calculation and method to gauge affordability is total car price = your yearly nett income.
Example this car rm 100k. Your yearly income after minus tax got to be around 100k to make it a comfortable ownership.
Of coz if you have many other commitments like children, house installment or rental. U can adjust further to 1.5 years or 2 years income.

For a family of 5 then golf GTI is more suitable if you’re looking for a hatch. Good rear space and seats size. Rear Passengers feel more planted with multi link suspension versus the torsion beam on the Swift sport. Mk6 and even mk7 are on interesting prices. But watch out for the condition. Good luck!

Yes I agree with you. Poor market demand. Just that it is a shame there is such a huge gap in this segment. It is either you get a 30K Axia or jump to 270k BRZ. There is nothing in between in new car market
