@@TimRobinson-hc7mt blame should fall mostly on ownership. Reinsdorf didn't fire Hahn until a year ago, like 6-8 years later than he should have been fired. Then he put in another yes man in Chris Getz, who, while the jury is still out on his GM skills, doesn't look promising. As for Grifol, he was a problem but not the root, more so just the bad fruit of it all. The players, I feel bad for because their development was so mismanaged. But it all starts at the top with ownership.
Thanks for the response sounds to me like Jerry is doing this on purpose then. He has allowed the team to become so bad that the fan base will turn against them he is looking at Oakland and sees how they will move in a few years. He wants either a new stadium in Chicago or he will move them out to Memphis or anyplace else that will take them. Yes most of the blame is on Jerry and he should be stopped and find an owner who will keep the team in Chicago and rebuild the team the right way
@@aladinsarsipeus What i am saying is I am discussed with this team this owner and the way things will go the White Sox will not be in Chicago for very long if Jerry gets his way and since he and the family have that power the misery of this shitty team will continue
Right now, for the Sox to not break the Mets' record and hit 121 losses this season, they have to win 10 of their last 21 games. To put that in perspective, the White Sox have had 10 wins in the last 58 games. I think 121+ is pretty much a guarantee at this point. 130 technically isn't off the table yet if they lose all of them.
I almost forgot to mention this and this is VERY REAL the lease on Comiskey Park ends 2029 I think what Jerry has in mind is a power play that since he owns the team and has the power he could demand a new stadium and if he don't get that he lets the lease run out and move to Memphis. That is no joke and he could do this if he wants to. So Jerry and his power has to be taken away from him or in 6 years you can say good bye to the White Sox for good
As a Mets fan, it's a weird feeling to see a team that could beat our most losses record. On one hand, it's not a record anyone should want. On the other, it's OUR record, y'know?
Also from UK here. ChiSox are having an all-time bad season. Think Derby County's Premier League season. But even worse. In baseball the worst team usually wins 50 or more games (out of 162). And the best team usually loses 50+. In any given season the worst team might win a game 12-0 away at the best team. Think Man City 0 Sheffield United 6. But this year's White Sox are a complete joke, heading for the worst season in the history of MLB. Recently lost 21 games in a row (equivalent of ~30 or 40 Premier League games without winning).
@@steveboston5948 that's a very good analogy to make me understand how bad the soxs are thanks for that. I now understand how bad they are if you are saying compare it to Derby premier season (which still makes me laugh to this day).
Of course we all know that they're the worst team in the league this year. However this may be a reach but I think this White Sox team is starting to make a case for one of the worst baseball teams Ever
Not a stretch, they could literally beat the '62 Mets for the modern record for losses, and the 1916 Athletics for the worst winning percentage of the modern era. It's brutal.
The 1916 Athletics had Bullet Joe Bush who threw a no-hitter and won 15 games w/ a sparkling ERA that belied his 24 losses. The 1935 Braves had Wally Berger who smashed 34 HR's and drove in 130. The 1952 Pirates had Ralph Kiner who belted 37 HR's. The 1962 Mets had Frank Thomas (32 HR's) and one last fine year from Richie Ashburn (.306 average) Plenty of moribund teams since (no matter how bad their record was) had some players and pitchers who did well; I don't see anyone on the White Sox outside of Crochet (slowing down hard) who's still there that future generations will look at and say "That guy at least kept them from losing 135 or something." Lopez currently leads the Sox w/ a .243 BA etc.
@@GizmoBeach yeah, it's almost unfathomable how bad the ChiSox are. I guess maybe the career year from Fedde could be brought up too in that discussion, but he was traded at the deadline.

Yesterday (08/18/24), the Stros basically trotted out their Spring Training lineup with Yordan and Bregman sitting it out and 3 guys who were recently called up from Sugar Land. Stros still won 2-0 to take the series.
The Sox don't care about their record. They are rebuilding and trading away everyone because they aren't competitive and weren't last year. That violent outburst by Ramirez ended Cleveland's chances as they inspired the Sox to humiliate the Guardians which led to a Cleveland's tailspin. They weren't able to recover and the division crown was history
This is just an exclamation point on over decade of mediocrity for the White Sox's. Since 2013 they have had 2 above .500 seasons, one of them being a Covid shorten season. They've average .435. That's just a sad franchise.
As of today, September the first, they are 31-106 and on a 9 game losing streak, in danger of a third double digit losing streak this season. A win percentage of .226 and a run differential of -289. Amazing stuff.
I knows it’s baseball but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the White Sox and the Chicago Bulls are both in pits of despair. In conclusion Jerry needs to sell
They could be even worse next year. At the end of the season, several young arms were doing well in limited innings. Next year, Crochet might be elsewhere and those promising hurlers could regress as hitters adjust. Then there’s the offense: they could lose some bats in the offseason due to payroll shedding, and who would take their place? No-one’s in the farm system worth a hoot that wasn’t brought up already to get some experience. No FA in their right mind will sign w/ the poorly-run Sox unless they’re gasping for one last MLB shot, and that often means poor production before being released. Sox won 41 thanks to a favorable schedule at the end: six games against the lousy Angels, three vs. the A’s, three against a team needing only one win. Next year Chicago could match 121 losses with a week or more to go.
Lifelong Sox fan. At this point I hope they just lean in to being a disgrace to the game. They need to hire Kanye as the next manager or some kid who made a wish on a magic baseball.
I honestly feel bad for White Sox fans they don’t deserve this at all. I say this as a life long Cubs fan and you know it’s bad when a life long Cubs fan has sympathy for White Sox fans.
I thought the Mets were 42 & 120, in 1962. 9:11 There was 162 games a season back then. Roger Maris hit #61 home run in game #162 in 1961. (which caused the big asterisk, because Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs in a 154 game season)
To put this record into perspective: A team comprised entirely of replacement players (which is basically baseball speak for "amateurs") is statistically likely to win about 40 games a season. The 2003 Tigers won 43 games, which meant they were only marginally better than a team that was comprised of random people off the street. The White Sox, as of this writing, have 30 wins. This means they could potentially finish the season worse than a team that was comprised of amateurs.
Poor Miguel Vargas. Goes from one of the best teams in baseball to… This. And every camera capturing every depressed shot. I wasn’t the biggest fan of him while he was on the Dodgers, but I kept hoping that something good would come of having him in the show. I actually feel sorry for him. Someone give that man a hug.
With the games of September 14 in the books, the Sox are 34-115. In order to avoid breaking the '62 Mets' record for most losses since 1900, they need to go 8-5 or better. If they do this, they will have 11+ wins for the month of September. The White Sox have not had double-digit wins in a calendar month this season. They don't even have double-digit wins since the All-Star Break.
Imagine telling your family you made it to the MLB. You made it. You made the dream. Except you play for the 2024 White Sox. In the future, you brag at a bar about how you were in the MLB. They ask what team. The 2024 White Sox. Feels bad
Moving ahead to the end of August, the White Sox are 38 games behind the Detroit Tigers for 4th place in their division. No other team is even 32 games behind first place in their division.
People need to understand, that on top of ownership, and bad choices, that alone isn't enough to sink a team, other teams have been moderately engaging even with bad ownership. We had injuries upon injuries for years to our studs, nobody could ever build any consistency and therefore all of our prospects failed. This is why, when you couple that with bad ownership, bad management and bad decisions it makes it all a lot worse. The final blow? Is simple human depression. These players don't care anymore, they're done, they're not robots nor are they games like MLB the show. These guys at one point wanted to win, but stopped caring. The White Sox have the worst luck in the world and it started with injuries was pushed forward by bad management and now ends with depression
This is the first team since the 1965 Mets to have three, separate losing streaks of at least 10 games. They’re currently now on pace to win just 36 games for the entire season. That’s not just bad. That’s frigging abominable! I mean 36-126?! I almost can’t even fathom it. Is this real? Haha!
Sox have the worst ERA, 14th lowest batting average, 389 RBI in 131 games (by far the worst) and are 14th in errors and fielding percentage. They’ve actually raised that BA over the last week or so, but going from .217 to .221 is like losing by a four runs instead of five.
A couple of months ago, I did some quick math and thought, yeah, no way they are going to lose more than 120 games. Then they lost 21 straight and I thought we had something special here. Embrace the suck, people. If you're going to be a bear, be a grizzly.
Can’t remember what year it was, but the Orioles were having a futile season, and the joke going around went something like “What do the Orioles have in common with Michael Jackson? They both wear a glove for no reason.”
Thank you for mentioning Maldanado. Him being on the worst team in the MLB in 2024 thoroughly proved he makes no one better at anything, and shut up a lot of delusional Astros fans. We can finally get back to sanity, where fans don't advocate for literally the worst player in the MLB to be a starting player.
This was done intentionally or by complete negligence. Williams and Hahn did a terrible job for years. Compare the Astros and White Sox post 2005 World Series sweep. Stunning. And all rests with ownership, Williams, Hahn. Current situation merely an extension of that failure. MLB Commissioner needs to consider a required team sale. I have one more final thought about the 2024 White Sox then I am gone. I have been a Sox fan since 1967 I have never seen a team this bad and I thought 1970 would never happen again but this was too painful to watch and I never NEVER!!!!! forgive the White Sox org for putting such a horrible nightmare together like this......GOOD BYE GOOD LUCK AND AMEN
Yes most of the blame is on Jerry and he should be stopped and find an owner who will keep the team in Chicago and rebuild the team the right way
Hey Tim are you saying you’re done with this organization from here on out?
@@aladinsarsipeus What i am saying is I am discussed with this team this owner and the way things will go the White Sox will not be in Chicago for very long if Jerry gets his way and since he and the family have that power the misery of this shitty team will continue
@@TimRobinson-hc7mt Jerry is absolutely doing this out of spite.
Great job man. Tbh I like your cadence and inflection better.
As a Red Sox fan, I was kind of disappointed when they let Benintendi walk. Now it's looking like it was a good move. Or they traded him. I forget.
My orioles went through this, but that losing streak by the sox is hard to even comprehend.
So Jerry and his power has to be taken away from him or in 6 years you can say good bye to the White Sox for good
I may hate the white Sox but keep them in Chicago reinsdick
Memphis will only be known for Elvis Presley and Graceland, where MLK was assassinated and not as a future home for a MLB team
Sounds exactly like the plot in the movie “Major League”
@@billklee7065 Looks more like the Bad News Bears first game with the Yankees in the movie. Picture that nightmare for 162 games
Wow, the Rockies almost look normal in comparison.
🔥🥃
As a Mets fan, it's a weird feeling to see a team that could beat our most losses record.
On one hand, it's not a record anyone should want. On the other, it's OUR record, y'know?
Thank you to the White Sox for letting the A's walk out of Oakland with an ounce of dignity.
I paid $10 to see the White Sox over the weekend. Cool to be a part of the historic season.
the only good thing about being so bad...tickets become affordable.
Wait they are worse than the A's? I'm from the UK and not a baseball follower at all I have no favourite team but even I know the A's sucked.
Stay over there and it’s pronounced “SOCCER” 🎉🎉🎉
The A's of last year look like the Dodgers when compared to the White Sox this year
Also from UK here.
A's aren't even the worst team for the past 6 years, that title belongs to the 2018 Orioles and 2019 Tigers.
8:56 Wait a minute, is that randy dobnak? The guy from the 2019 alds? Sorry i havent seen him in so long
Anyone here after the 2024 Chicago White Sox just broke the record for most losses in a season? Congrats boys!
Should have kept Tim Anderson, he’d fit right in.
2024 White Sox and Carolina Panthers will go down in history as
Dude my batting average is 150 points higher than there winning percentage 😮
Mine is higher than theirs too
I didn’t think this was possible, but they are lot only eliminated from the 2024 playoffs, they are somehow already eliminated from the 2025 playoffs.
Anyone else here after they set the new record?
Of course we all know that they're the worst team in the league this year. However this may be a reach but I think this White Sox team is starting to make a case for one of the worst baseball teams Ever
They are on pace to be the second worst by record alone
Not a stretch, they could literally beat the '62 Mets for the modern record for losses, and the 1916 Athletics for the worst winning percentage of the modern era. It's brutal.
The 1916 Athletics had Bullet Joe Bush who threw a no-hitter and won 15 games w/ a sparkling ERA that belied his 24 losses. The 1935 Braves had Wally Berger who smashed 34 HR's and drove in 130. The 1952 Pirates had Ralph Kiner who belted 37 HR's. The 1962 Mets had Frank Thomas (32 HR's) and one last fine year from Richie Ashburn (.306 average)
Plenty of moribund teams since (no matter how bad their record was) had some players and pitchers who did well; I don't see anyone on the White Sox outside of Crochet (slowing down hard) who's still there that future generations will look at and say "That guy at least kept them from losing 135 or something." Lopez currently leads the Sox w/ a .243 BA etc.
@@GizmoBeach yeah, it's almost unfathomable how bad the ChiSox are. I guess maybe the career year from Fedde could be brought up too in that discussion, but he was traded at the deadline.
Oh nice, we have some arms in the farm system. Like Cease and Kopech were?
Speaking as a lifelong Cubs fan, I want the Pale Hose to NOT break the losing record. It’s a civic embarrassment.
The pale hose? I grew up in Chicago south side lifelong white Sox fan and you'd get your a kicked by your own aunt if you said something that girlie
@@FogelsChannelHey Jared, I was only using old fashioned newspaper lingo. Do you have a thing against “ChiSox” as well? Honestly, I love those very rare summers when both teams are in a pennant race. And, yes, when I go to Wrigley I drink Old Style.
As a Mets fan, I would like them too. Lol
They have made life as a Cubs fan so much better lately, at least we aren't this
As neither a fan of either team seeing this and last seasons Pistons be epically bad is something we may not see again within a calendar year.
White Sox OBP is .278
San Diego Padres Batting average .265..
what is with all the bots in the comments
😂
Yesterday (08/18/24), the Stros basically trotted out their Spring Training lineup with Yordan and Bregman sitting it out and 3 guys who were recently called up from Sugar Land. Stros still won 2-0 to take the series.
Ramirez knocked the white socks out with that punch
The Sox don't care about their record. They are rebuilding and trading away everyone because they aren't competitive and weren't last year. That violent outburst by Ramirez ended Cleveland's chances as they inspired the Sox to humiliate the Guardians which led to a Cleveland's tailspin. They weren't able to recover and the division crown was history
This is just an exclamation point on over decade of mediocrity for the White Sox's. Since 2013 they have had 2 above .500 seasons, one of them being a Covid shorten season. They've average .435. That's just a sad franchise.
Isn’t this…Basebsll doesn’t exisit guy?
He kinda sounds like him but I don’t think it’s him
its not
As of today, September the first, they are 31-106 and on a 9 game losing streak, in danger of a third double digit losing streak this season. A win percentage of .226 and a run differential of -289. Amazing stuff.
12 games in a row! THEY DID IT! THEY DDDDDIIIIIT IIITTT!
A lack of "timely hitting" and just too many double plays. There is room for improvement.
I knows it’s baseball but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the White Sox and the Chicago Bulls are both in pits of despair. In conclusion Jerry needs to sell
JERRY REINSDORK
The problem with the White Sox, Jerry Reinsdorf. That's all you have to point out!
Worse than the '62 Mets?
I honestly feel bad for White Sox fans they don’t deserve this at all. I say this as a life long Cubs fan and you know it’s bad when a life long Cubs fan has sympathy for White Sox fans.
I thought the Mets were 42 & 120, in 1962. 9:11 There was 162 games a season back then. Roger Maris hit #61 home run in game #162 in 1961. (which caused the big asterisk, because Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs in a 154 game season)
To put this record into perspective:
A team comprised entirely of replacement players (which is basically baseball speak for "amateurs") is statistically likely to win about 40 games a season.
This is the only thing that makes being a pirates fan less embarrassing
September 20, 36-117
You all dont understand how hard it truly is to be a fan of this team.
History. Its tragic
you must be happy now 😂
Loved, "the White Sox have the 2nd worst era behind the Colorado Rockies who play on the moon"
Lol, that really made me laugh
Anyone else here after they slapped the Yankees 12-2?
We need a video on how MLB franchises spend 100million dollars every year but still to SUCK THIS BAD
In their defense, the Tigers are the only 4th place team that is above .500
As a Mets fan, I feel your pain. There’s only 1 way to go from here.
2024 White Sox: we're the worst team in MLB
2024 post-trade deadline Marlins: hold our beers
In the last 10 games Your Chicago Cubs have scored almost 1/4 of the runs the White Sox have scored, on the whole season.
A thumbs up, both for the video and for the sox. May they finish the year on another losing streak of epic dimension.
But hey! Elvis night was fun LMAO
Tanking it. They should get a superstar in the draft.
As a sox fan ill always love Bennie. Wish we could have kept him
People need to understand, that on top of ownership, and bad choices, that alone isn't enough to sink a team, other teams have been moderately engaging even with bad ownership. The White Sox have the worst luck in the world and it started with injuries was pushed forward by bad management and now ends with depression
when tim anderson went down, he took the white sox with him
Nothing will ever rival the horror of the ‘88 Orioles STARTING their season with 21 straight losses. And in ‘89 they missed the playoffs by one game.
This team will definitely lose more than 120 games worst ever than the Mets in modern baseball ⚾️ history
Best BA in their lineup is .236
4:31 what in the world is benentendi doing on this play!?
THEY BROKE THE RECORD
This is the first team since the 1965 Mets to have three, separate losing streaks of at least 10 games. They’re currently now on pace to win just 36 games for the entire season. That’s not just bad. That’s frigging abominable! I mean 36-126?! I almost can’t even fathom it. Is this real? Haha!
When u said the rockies play on the moon i died
2018
benny had an Achilles issue all year. he’s finally back. that’s it, thars the only thing i can dispute in this video
Thank you for mentioning Maldanado. Tons of Astros fans were convinced that even though he was legit the worst player in the MLB in 2023, we should have kept him because he made everyone around him so much better.
Too large a market, too historic a franchise to allow this level of failure.
Imagine Hawk Harrelson still announcing White Sox games in 2024. How would he react to the White Sox horrible season and after all these losses?
As a Braves fan this whole damn season has been cursed, just pack this season up 😅
