I have had mine for three years now, while my zipper is the same it has held up in storms in Arizona, Colorado and Florida. I am currently working on a setup for the AT and this will be my tent, though I will say that in the cooler summer time the fly does condensate even with the little window open. Great tent
Maybe since you just bought it you could return it to the store as defective and get the late start 2. If the store won't help I know kelty customer service will they have great customer service. Just tell them about the leaking you mentioned in the video.
Looks good. Camp dry works miracles. I treated a very old Coleman tent that leaked before treated. After treatment it stayed dry. I normally treat a new tent after I get it. Great review. 🙂👍☕

I don’t know man did you call kelty? That seems like a defect maybe
No. The seam seal worked and have taken it on a few trips now. The follow up trip from that video it dumped a ton of rain. No leaks after the seal.
@@cjoutdooradventures4896 What brand/type of seam seal did you use?
@@Mr76K1976 I used Gear Aid's Seam Grip for this tent.

After I did some quick seam seal I haven't had a problem. Went camping the following weekend and I poured down on us... but dry on the inside :)
