*A great vacuum💯 for the price. The suction is awesome **MyBest.Tools** excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.🤨*
I’ve just watched about 10 review videos for this vacuum as I’m trying to clean my brothers vacuum while he is on holiday…(had to be extra careful I don’t break anything). Thank you for this review, it is by far the best, giving the most detailed information that was not included in the other ones. Thanks again! I now have a ultra clean, looking and working like new again cleaner!! Massive thumbs up! 👍🏼
Couple of points - I noticed you were using the floorhead on that shag rug, with it set to hard floor setting, which would have made it more difficult to move over the rug, also, the white cased model, the CX1 Blizzard Comfort, comes with motor remote control buttons on the handle, which allows you to alter the motor speed and suction without the need for returning to the machine to turn the suction control knob. I agree that they should have provided a manual suction relief valve on the handle of your particular model, which was the basic model, as only the top of line Comfort model comes with the remote control handle. I've been impressed with my CX1 Comfort, but did not receive mine free of charge from AO, rather, I bought mine from Currys as an ex-display model with damage to the bin, which I found to be the weak point on the CX1 Blizzard. The yellow bin release trapdoor latch had snapped off on mine, and I have seen other instances of this same problem on machines for sale on ebay in the past, so if you do get one of these, take great care with the yellow bin latch. Aside from these small issues, I think the Blizzard is a pretty good attempt at a bagless machine, but I'd have liked to have seen a multicyclonic separation system, rather than the single cyclone and pleated filter design. I'd still recommend them though, if you can get one on special offer.
Thanks for the video! I couldn't get the small brush on the handle to slide down. After watching your video, I can. Very powerful hoover and must say it is the best hoover I have ever had.
The brushes in the turbo head of my Blizzard CX1 Powerline, do not turn when used on the carpet. It is not clogged up as I have had it apart to clean. I bought a second head and it does the same. Is the problem in the main part? I am not tech. minded !!!
We've had ours for two years here in the UK and at the start I was really impressed with the style, ease of use, and efficiency. Then, after a year, the cord retraction failed: it was drawing the cord in so fast that the lashing plug had damaged the casing. Replaced under warranty. A year later, out of warranty, the replacement reel failed; it still retracts, but extremely sluggishly and in stops and starts, and the last half-metre or so stays on the floor. Apparently the 'Made in Germany' isn't true. Many parts are made in China and put together in Germany. Apart from that, it's a good design, and kept clean with a wash every few months it leaves no stale smell.
and what is the maximum suction power of the Miele SKCR3 Blizzard CX1 vacuum cleaner, no one says something , and I also can't move the vacuum cleaner when I vacuum the carpet because the carpet is sucked into the vacuum cleaner
Hi can I ask is this the 890 watt version or 1200 beacuse after much deliberation I think I'm going to get one. But would like the 1200 if I can get one thanks.
In the US they have one with a great powerhead! One question, should I get this one or the c3? I don't want to use bags, but I kinda like the concept of a bagged vacuum.
Love this video. You could always use the turbobrush from your miele c3 to make it easier to use on carpets.Do you find it still has the same suction after extended use without having the clean the filters?
+Steven Rooney that’s a very good idea Steven! Off camera that’s what I was doing. Works very well together. After filling the canister with dirt it was still sucking as well as when it was empty. Quite surprised to be honest. Cleaning the filters took a while, this is something you also have to be careful of in case you push hard in case you break the plastic welds where the mesh meets the plastic. It also too quite a while to dry! But if you leave it close to a radiator overnight bingo!
My 1200W version turns the STB205 turbo brush from my bagged Miele 2200W vacuums, but with this head, you need to have the machine on full power in order to get enough speed from the turbine to effectively maintain a good brush rotation on low pile carpet. The latest versions of these CX1 machines only use an 890W motor, so I believe these would not have enough power to turn the standard STB205 Miele turbo brush - however, Miele have released a newer style turbo brush which is supplied with the C3 Cat and Dog 2017 version, and this is able to run on 890W suction power, so if it can eventually be bought seperately, it would be good to use with the CX1 Excellence and the CX1 Comfort, but the CX1 Cat and Dog does come supplied with a turbo brsh as standard. My machine has not lost much suction despite being used for a big mess test, although the cyclone cone mesh filter did regularly clog up, and this could need more maintanence if there are people or pets with long hair in the household. I have operated the filter clean sequence manually a couple of times, but the machine does it itself automatically if it detects a drop in suction at the cleanr head, and an increase in back pressure through the pleated filter catridge assembly, which is a quite a clever feature. If the machine cleans its filter but is not satisfied with the result, it drops the motor power right down to minimum and turns a red light on in the filter clean button, meaning that you then need to wash the pleated filter with water in the sink.
Bought one of these recently and it keeps clogging up. My wife just used it for max 10 mins, it went into Comfort clean (Yellow light) restarted then went into Red light low suction mode. OK so we have 2 dogs but we also have a Roomba 800 series that cleans the whole house three times a week catching most dog hair. Any experience of this clogging up a the main pre filter area and how to resolve it, (Not going to get rid of the dogs).
I bought it 2 days ago...It's amazing and shieits on my old dyson dc 37 i think.... Dyson design is so shit... I LOVVVVEEE the varible suctions controls.. This is just quality to a Dyson... Just the Vac head is so SOLID... Dyson is all plastic
Oh My God!!! I am furious with Miele, I’ve just discovered that the hepa filter sits inside the machine, that you can’t take out because it’s on top of the motor! They are $280 (au) to replace (only the price of the whole replacement unit not including paying someone to fix it) so that when, after a couple of years of use, you have to throw the stinking thing away because they don’t make it so it is easily replaced! Stinks! Ours is the Blizzard CX1 Dog and Cat Powerline. I just made ours smell better by turning it on and spraying Glen20 down the spout. But why specify something for dogs and cats when you can’t change the Hepa filter.
1) Miele has a Hepa airclean livetime filter and cannot be replaced, but dust comes also on this filter, bad. What can couse a overheating motor, dust in the motor, motor break. 2) the transparant holder for dust, has two klep hinge and that is a weak point and will break. We all can see that this is not a livetime hepa airclean filter. And this for a 267 to 500 euro machine, Miele must do better!!! No, Miele is not always better.
Such nice vacs; such poor floor heads. They should include the turbo head free on this model; all the other heads snowplow terribly. To be honest; you lifted the front of the head to get up the trash. Not a good design.
Unfortunately it does snowplough a bit. Quite a lot of vacuums do the same. However, I would have probably in normal use just used the tube with no head to pick up the majority first then used the head to clean the rest. But I agree, it could be slightly better on the design or a different head for those moments you need to pick up larger debris.
We recently got this vacuum and one of the biggest problems is the snowploughing! It happens even with small amounts of dirt and the only way to clean it is by lifting the head a bit. I'm considering cutting some of the bristles a bit to try and avoid this problem, because it's not for lack of suction, the vacuum has plenty of that! That or trying the 'Parquet Twister' head as it has some softer natural bristles.
I have had this thing for a year now. It's "OK" but not fantastic. Things that annoy me. 1. The vacuum blows exhaust air out the side. (stirs up dust everywhere from under shelves, tables, fridges etc). Would be better if it blew upwards, like the Flamengo 2 2. No adjustment to suction by the nozzle 3. I don't like the one press cord rewind. I prefer press and hold 4. The actual cord should have been 2-3 feet longer 5. It scratches too easily 6. The small tools do not work well 7. The brush tool is annoying to use with the big handle 8. Small round objects keep spinning annoyingly in the vortex area until shut off. My next purchase will NOT be a Miele, but a quality built Nilfisk 80 GM80
LMAO this had to be the funniest shit I’ve read, do you not know how a vortex works? The spinning is the cyclonic filtration. The bagged models exhaust upwards. The top of the line models have electronic controls on the hose, and

Really clear demonstration, I am pleased with my new Miele vacuum cleaner having changed from an old Dyson upright

Very powerful hoover and must say it is the best hoover I have ever had.
Glad it helped! It is seriously one powerful vacuum. Enjoy :)
Great review especially loved seeing the filters removed but really this cleaner comes into its own with the turbo head it’s essential
Brilliant review. Lots of relevant detail, thank you.
Great review Henry!
Thank you!now I know how to clean the container
is a great vacuum cleaner in a large house with a wooden and ceramic floor

Going to be buying this next month, I used someone else's one and I loved it!

Brilliant review that is very helpful.
Great video, great demo, great vacuum.
+HooverLux thank you! Pretty awesome vacuum, especially given it’s the first bagless Miele
Thanks +HooverLux it sure is an awesome vacuum. Currently doing a side by side review of the c3 and cx1 so keep an eye out ;) #baggedVSbagless

Great I find even with dyson they still loose suction. I have a c3 and I find the best of any vacuum cleaner.

I bet you work for dyson!

You can take it out and clean it
@@beccssmith6285 no not the one they have plastic welded onto the top of the motor.
The bin seems so complicated Philips bagless seem much more simple to deal with
It looks like hard work with that vacum
James Bingham not too hard to be honest. Would have been nice to have got a powered head in the box though.
Don,t think i will be buying one soon.

Only 3.5 out of 5 stars for the quality built model you want?
