Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. What makes Sam so great, to me, is that even when others try to gush compliments to him, he finds a way to turn it around to compliment others. He didn’t go all Ego when asked about all the female attention. He used that comment as a segue to say what wonderful fans the show has gathered.
Love the series Outlander and Sam Heughan, he has to be one of the nicest and so down to earth actor out there.

Sam is so "unaffected" by his stardom. He stays rather grounded don't you think considering the adoration that is heaped on his shoulders. Women every where are swooning and dreaming about him. That has got to be a lot to take in. Most stars get a "big head" and lose their humility rather quickly in his shoes. I guess it is all part of his charm isn't it. I respect this in him.

While I don't deny anything you say, the reality is Sam is not in a position right now to make an issue of his affection orientation. He's a big boy; he would have had to accept that taking this role would make him a larger than life romantic hero in the eyes of millions of women, and put him under a microscope for YEARS. I'm sure Starz has seen to it that he won't come out publicly while the series is running, which at this point is only prudent to protect both their investment and his career. Let's just hope those big shoulders can handle the pressure as long as they have to.
