I miss when I could listen to this music and not hate myself for listening to it and not hate the artist and I miss being a part of the fandom and being able to look back on all the memories I made listening to this and not hate them. I miss when From Studio 4 came out and it was raining and I went to for a walk in the rain listening to it. I miss secretly listening to CMWYL in class. I miss cross country skiing (it was for a outdoor class) and listening to Lovejoy. I miss when I started 2023 by perfectly timing Sex Sells so that the chorus would start at the same time as the fireworks. I miss going through a really hard time but being slightly more okay because of this band. I miss watching Wilbur’s videos and being happy and drawing fanart and singing the L’Manburg anthem and referencing him and his music all the time. I miss it so much.

I love how the instrumentals go from blaring to slow and sad, the lyrics punctuated clearly before it becomes blaring and angry at the end. The animation and vibe is also amazing. Well done on this.

The ending is so sweet but sad 😭this is beautifully made and I love how Ash Is drawn LMFAO. I heavily relate to this song and this whole video made it seem like I'm not alone. The breakdown at the end is so cool. And the way it depicts how a guy loved this girl and she wasn't interested enough to keep their relationship (or friendship) going and she felt the need to cheat (lie etc.) This video really ties that all together. The line "for each correctly used apostrophe I could feel my heart sink inside my chest in front of me" has to be my favorite line from this song. It can be interpreted in so many ways but I think the main two I think of Is the girl writing a letter to the guy she liked, and It was so well-written that it showed her "love interest" that she really put effort into that letter and that showed how much she cared for the other guy and not him. The other is that she is sending a message to her love interest (the one she is cheating on) and it's so well typed as well and it makes him feel almost stupid? like shes trying to show him how smart she is. ANYWAYS ive typed too much LMAO but overall I love this song. I think it fits Wilbur's voice SO incredibly well. And I'm glad they covered this song and I like how each version can have different meanings bc of the tone, the way the lyrics are portrayed, etc. Of course all I said is what I interpreted this song to be, You can interpret this however you want. :]

I like to think the line “for each correctly used apostrophe I could feel my heat sink inside my chest in front of me” as if they are messaging each other, and when a conversation is good/lively, you don’t bother with typing out as much punctuation (Such as apostrophes). But, as time goes on she loses interest, and sometimes super proper punctuation in a conversation can come off as just that, lost interest. But I know this isn’t the case for everyone. As you said, everyone interprets it differently and that’s the beauty of it. :)

According to Los campesinos! This song was about how one of the band members Gareth met a person at an event and they started talking about the t-shirt he had on. It was only at the end of the week he found out she had a boyfriend, so he was heartbroken. He finds out her boyfriend also likes the same band because in the photo they are together wearing the same t-shirt. I know this music video doesn’t actually show any of this but it does have the components. The start when he met her, the middle where he reflects and is heartbroken, and the end when he gets mad because he got feelings for someone who just liked the same band, and nothing else

The artistic expression in both the music and the animation easily makes this both my favourite animation short story and song , it is beautiful, and i never thought id fall in love with a song, but look where we are, this artistic work has left me in trans for the past few days , you can feel the love the band has for the music they make and cover , in not just all their songs so far , but this song in particular has set the bar for whats to come for future songs and covers! I love how beautifully displayed this music video was.The smooth fluid like moments of the animations and the crisp and almost unkeep scraggly edges of some of the scenes where he seems to be struggling more.Astoundingly good job,you guys never fail to amaze me.

I love the music video so much!!! Its such a creative story + the art style is so aesthetically pleasing and so amazing! I can not explain how much i love it and how much, especially when he hits the record + the main chorus, it bring me so much joy and hyperness.

it's amazing how this song uses the same 4 or 5 chords in the same order through out the song and is able to capture multiple emotions at the right times throughout the whole song.
